Rebirth Of Abium

Chapter 68

11 p.m at the southern coastline, Devil sea.

Two kilometers away from the sh.o.r.eline, a large schooner pirate ship was moving towards that fortified magic tower at high speed. Bark was light, and fast ship with shallow draft made this ship move faster towards the tower.

"Captain! I can see the sh.o.r.eline." A muscular guy stood on the mast shouted while peeking with his spygla.s.s with wide eyes.

"Hmm, Can you see that tower? Are they any skeletons on guard?" A rough voice from the deck asked him.

"Yes, Captain, like that bandit leader Keith told us earlier, only a few skeletons are standing on the fort wall." Gibson once again peered at that sh.o.r.e with his wooden colored eyes and replied.

I don"t know why the light church put that much bounty on her head? Gibson"s head was filled with curious questions while he was monitoring that tower.

"Oh! That will make our job easy. Gibson!" Brick said with a broad smile on his face revealing a gold tooth. He wore breeches, an old black cap, and a linen shirt.

"But we still didn"t get any news from Black skull pirates." Gibson"s replied while searching the sea and slowly climbed down in disappointment.

"Don"t worry. Nelson will come with his crew members on time. Then we will capture that tower before tomorrow evening."

All the crew members nodded.

"Captain, what if those bandits turned back against us as they did to that necromancer?" Another pirate with gray hair and deep blue eyes asked.

"Not going to happen, Rowley. Now they are already in our pirate town along with that booty." When hearing that word from Brick, everyone"s eyes glittered.

"We are going to be rich! But Captain, is it okay to give them 10 percent to them?" Gibson felt that much amount would be a waste on them.

"We have to give them Gibson. That bandit Keith is a sly b.a.s.t.a.r.d and has a strength of 5th tier the same as me. Even if Nelson and I try to kill him, that fight will not end in a good way. It"s not worth to fight for that 500 white gold." Brick"s reply made Gibson grumble inside, but he kept quiet.

"Captain! An unknown ship from the south is coming our way. No! More ships are coming!" Another slim guy with black hair said.

"See the Blackjack clearly, Thayer. It"s the black skull pirates." A slim woman revealing her curvy body said while shaking her head. She had thick eyebrows, almond black eyes, short brown hairs, and low nose bridge.

"Shiver me timbers!" Thayer looked at the number of ships and shouted in disbelief. A total of seven ships lead by one large ship the same as their"s, piercing those sea waters and moving towards their directions at rapid speed.

"Are they bringing other pirates too?" Brick muttered while looking at the southern direction. At the same time, their ship already reached the sh.o.r.eline.

"Hard to port!"

Soon, their ship landed near the sh.o.r.eline, and all the pirates waited for the other ships to reach the coastline. Soon, one by one, those ships arrived near to that sh.o.r.e, and everyone climbed down from their ships.

Meanwhile, a hooded figure stood at the top of that magic tower and watched those ships with wide eyes.

"Why are they here?! aren"t these guys afraid of that baron might give trouble to them in the future?" Murius muttered in stunned expression. He never expected these foolish pirates would attack when those bandits were in a mission.

I don"t have any plan to reveal my power to anyone, but It seems like I wouldn"t have any choice now.

His eyes soon shifted towards the undead, stood on the fort wall, and lips curved upward. Soon, he released his undead skeletons and gave multiple orders. You could see there were a total of hundred undead started to dig the ground in the yard for an ambush. Most of them were elite undead skeletons while a few were death knights, and there was even a dark knight stood behind those skeletons. These skeletons were only a part of his real force, and never even revealed these skeletons to those bandits.

How did these pirate knew the bandits are not here? Suddenly a doubt arose inside his heart, but he shook that thought.

First, I will deal with these pirates. His dark green eyes went sharp as ice, and he waited for those pirates to a.s.semble. He knew those bandits were scared of him and thought of them betraying him was very less.

Hmm, I already informed that Bilet to help Viscount"s men. Although that Bilet was just an apprentice necromancer that was working with that Viscount, his strength would be enough to kill that baron and his friends. He was well aware that the bandit group would only kill those goblins in the underground tunnel and could help viscount for miscellaneous tasks. As for the safety of Aliza, he didn"t think much about it. From his understanding of that girl, she needs outside battle experience. That"s the reason he sent her along with bandit Keith and others.

Well, I did give her a spatial ring with some materials that could help her escaping during unexpected predicament. No one knew except Aliza and him that she had a spatial ring. As he was in deep thought, his eyes soon noticed what was happened on the sh.o.r.eline.

Soon, a total of 300 pirates jumped down from the different ships and stood in line on the beach sand.

"Everyone get some sleep. We will attack at dawn." Brink said with a serious tone and noticed ten ruffian looking pirates walking near to that fortress entrance.

Soon all of them arrived near to the fortress and bravely stood a few feet away from the 3-meter tall fort wall.

"What the h.e.l.l are those fools doing over there?" Veins popped up on Brink"s forehead as he saw them.

"Haha, Necromancer. You don"t have any chance to escape. Now, surrender to this mighty lord." A muscular guy leisurely walking near to the wall to touch that and said with a mocking tone. A black shadow stood silently in the fort wall pulled the trigger of that crossbow in its hand.

Swoosh!

Before that bandit took two steps forward towards the wall, an iron bolt flew from the tower and pierced his throat.

Arggg!

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Multiple volleys of arrows, bolts flew up from the fort wall and wounded the first batch of pirates who bravely walked towards the front. Within a few seconds, only bodies pierced by full of arrows laid on the ground.

"Captain! Shall we attack to avenge them?" Another pirate with messy black hair unsheathed his Cutla.s.s and asked while other pirates nodding in unison.

"Fools! Before dawn, no one is allowed to get near to that fort wall. Got it?" Brink"s raging voice dominated the whole pirate group, and slowly, everyone nodded, even including Black skull pirate members.

Aldgate town, Indra"s Inn.

It was early morning, Viper sat on the reception seat with half sleepy expression and suddenly noticed a figure walking from one of the rooms towards his direction.

"Hm? What is that hooded guy doing here?" He frowned and quickly gripped his cold blade tightly. Soon, that guy who wore a white mask arrived and spoke in a quiet tone.

"Don"t be anxious, mister. I"m not here for you."

"I already knew that. So, why a northerner following after this elf?" Viper didn"t relax and asked in a cold tone.

"You don"t need to worry about that." He spoke with a chuckle and quickly took out a ring made of silver.

"What is this? Are you from purgatory knights or Black watchers?" Viper asked while hiding the uneasiness in his heart.

"You do not have any qualifications to know that answer. You do still understand your position, right?" That hooded guy spoke with the same calm look on his face.

"Tsk," Viper clicked his tongue and stared back at him.

From the amount of spirit energy he is emitting, I guess he is a mage. Most likely, an elf due to his skulk walk.

He didn"t even sleep the whole night and appears to be in a restless state. As Viper was observing that opponent"s movement, northerner starting to speak with a little bit threatening tone.

"You have to do me a favor."

"Are you an ally or an enemy?" Viper instantly took out his sword and asked. He could tell, this northerner was a dangerous one and became startled.

"It"s all in that elf"s hand. Tell him to contact me through this ring once he finishes his territory building."

"I can do that." With an approval nod, Viper took that silver ring and put it inside his pocket.

"Good," Northerner guy said in a suppressing voice and walked out of that Inn stealthily, leaving Viper in a dumbfounded expression. Soon, he recovered his sense and started to pack his belongings and return that Inn key to the owner.

When the dawn arrives, two carriages moved out of Aldgate town and advanced towards the east. One was Abium"s while the other one was Viper"s carriage. Viper and his daughter also accompanied them to their journey to Alastall territory. Viper took his carriage and followed Abium"s carriage silently. After another two hours, two carriages already reached Baron Harry"s territory.

It didn"t take long for Coachman Orson to informed Abium that they had already arrived at the entrance of Moondale town. But Abium"s expression started to frown a little. He could feel the nervousness in Orson"s tone and quickly got out of the carriage.

The first thing that appeared in front of his eyes was a troop of soldiers stood there surrounding their carriages.

"What happened?"

"I don"t know, my lord. They said it was an order from the baron Harry." Orson spoke while not hiding his uneasiness. Abium eyes went icy cold as he glared at the soldiers. Noticing his glare, a soldier with a black uniform stepped forward and took out a letter. He had deep blue eyes, short black hair, and a clean, shaved oval face. His skin was fair, appears to be 30 years old age, and wore black lined unique leather armor.

"We were informed by our lord to apprehend you under the violation act of killing civilians." He spoke without hiding his malicious intent.

When did I offend this baron? Why is this Baron targeting me? Abium was puzzled before he could speak any words that the guard captain sent out an order.

"Guards! Seize that large carriage." As they were about to take a step forward, Abium cast a "Dark Bind" and froze that guard captain.

You dare to seize the carriage that belongs to a n.o.ble! He let out a cold laugh and snapped. That dark shadow started to constrict that guard captain"s neck and crept over his whole body.

"Arrrggghhhhh!" A painful wailing sound echoed at the entrance of that gate then soon that guard captain falls on the ground. You could see trails of blood coming out from his mouth and nose.

"If you walk one step forward, that will be his last moment." Abium shifted his gaze towards other guards who were unsheathing their weapons and spoke in a cold tone. As they were puzzling about what to do next, a booming voice echoed from the entrance.
