Rebirth Of Abium

Chapter 95

Around 11.30 P.M, at the corner of the Slum Borough"s random street.

A few ruffian looking guys knelt on the ground while looking at a black-haired kid with terrified eyes. Abium already gave them a heavy beating and confiscated all of their weapons.

"You! Come here!" Abium pointed his finger at the leader-like guy who knelt a few feet away from him and called him. That guy had average height, slightly obese body, and his face was filled with full of scars. His Age appears to be around 40 years and had pitch-black eyes, long gray hair, and wore slightly better linen cloths while comparing to others.

"Yes, sir." Even though Abium was a kid, that gray-haired guy answered with much respective tone. Although he was a second-tier warrior, he was completely beaten to a pulp in an instant, which made his heart to accelerate in fear.

"We provoked a strong kid! At least, a fourth tier warrior. I must warn Boss G.o.dwin about this kid. d.a.m.n, there are too many peoples coming to our slum these days." He cursed under his breath and stood nervously in front of that black-haired kid.

"What"s your name?" Abium slowly walked near to rock at the corner and asked.

"Darby, sir," Darby replied with nervousness on his face.

"Have you guys committed any crimes like murder, thieving?" Nodding, Abium silently sat on the rock and asked with a calm tone.

"Y-Yes, sir. We killed a kid a few minutes before near to the alley, sir." Darby said while wiping the cold sweats on his forehead.

"Hmm, Who is your gang leader?" Abium signaled others to stand up and continued to ask.

"Twin blade G.o.dwin, Sir." Abium raised his brow at Darby"s answer and felt clueless. He knew a few gang leaders" names in the past but hadn"t met any of them. Because, after the arrival of chaos, the whole Slum Borough had vanished from the city map.

"Well, these guys will be thrown out of the city, and normal citizens from other parts of the kingdom would come and occupy these places. I don"t care about these murderers, but the kids and young peoples in this Borough would be useful for my territory."

"Hmm? If I have these many peoples in my territory, I could use their strength in a better way." Instantly he made up his mind and asked while taking out a shiny gold coin.

"How much amount did your boss giving you per month from the shares?"

"Sir, we won"t betray our boss." Darby"s words surprised Abium. He never expected this guy would reject him without even listening to his offer.

"Hmm, I don"t have any ill intentions towards your boss, Twin blade. I want you to make a list of the number of youngsters in your street. Also, If I heard you guys killing anyone, I wouldn"t hesitate to cut you into half, got it?" Abium gave a sharp look and threw that shiny gold coin towards gray-haired Darby.

"O-Okay, sir." Darby nodded his head repeatedly while catching that gold coin. But soon, his eyes widened as he saw this was not a normal gold coin but a white gold coin. He only saw a few of these coins in his boss"s treasury and felt jolted inside.

"Next, bring me to the area where I could get a fake ident.i.ty." He paused for a second and continued, "Also, I need a small house for staying, and I don"t want any trouble near to that area. If you guys stay away from me, I won"t disturb your business." When hearing Abium"s words, Darby breathed out a sigh of relief and nodded immediately.

Soon, both Abium and Darby moved towards a slightly larger building that located in the same street. Meanwhile, the remaining thieves got up and quickly ran towards another direction where their boss Twin blade G.o.dwin"s building was located. They had to tell their boss about what had happened on the street!

Meanwhile, Abium arrived in front of that large building"s entrance door with Darby and knocked it twice.

Creak!

After a few seconds, that wooden door opened and revealed a beautiful women"s face. She had a delicate fair skin, an oval-shaped face, and her eyes were as pure as gold. She had long red hair, wearing a brown colored nightgown, and her moist red eyes show she just now woke up from her sleep. But her simple glance made Abium"s expression to froze.

"She is an apprentice mage! I never thought there would be a mage hiding in the slum. Hmm, but she is not an academic mage. Is she also a roaming mage? Possible." He quickly returned his expression to normal, and Darby spoke.

"Miss Isemay, we are here to get a fake ident.i.ty."

"Come in." Isemay quickly invited both of them, and she moved in the front to take out multiple files from a wooden box. She didn"t even ask about payment, or his ident.i.ty made Abium to be stunned.

"Here is the list of peoples who disappeared or killed in our kingdom in the last few months. In these lists, all of them have black hair, and most of their Age is around 20." She said without showing any emotions while placing those doc.u.ments on to the wooden table.

Abium also nodded his head and started checking all those doc.u.ments one by one. After he began to check for a few minutes, he found his own name on the list and sighed.

"I don"t need my own ident.i.ty. It will only cause more problems for me." Abium thought to himself.

"I want an ident.i.ty similar to this person." Abium quickly took out his own record and gave it to that apprentice mage.

"Why not use this?" Isemay knitted her eyebrows and soon started taking out a few other doc.u.ments then placed on the table near to him.

Abium glancing at those doc.u.ments one by one and checked those pieces of information,

"Hmm, Benson, hair color- long black hair, Skin color- olive, height- 175 cm, weight- 59 kg, Born in Pale village, Age- 19 years. Status- unknown."

"Jeeves, hair color- short black hair, skin color- fair, height- 180cm, weight -64 kg, Born in Elm village, Age- 21 years. Status- suspected to be killed by monsters."

"Olin, hair color- Short deep blue hair, skin color- olive, height- 172cm, weight- 60 kg, born in Summer village, age- 16 years, status- Kidnapped by slave traders and suspected to be killed by them."

Abium glanced at those lists and found out all these persons" ident.i.ties were from rural villages.

"I chose this Jeeves"s ident.i.ty. His height and mine are almost the same." He quickly picked up that doc.u.ment and spoke.

"Okay. I will inform this name to the administrative office and remove the status from being killed by the monsters to alive." Red-haired apprentice mage Isemay nodded with the same emotionless face and continued to speak about payment.

"5 white gold for a single ident.i.ty. You can give me 50 normal gold or five white gold coin."

"Okay." Without any refusal, Abium took out five white gold coins and gave it to her. Then, both Abium and Darby walked out of that house and moved towards another area.

After a few minutes, Darby brought him to a remote area near to the city wall and shown him a small brick house. That house was right beneath the city wall and appeared to be isolated.

"Sir, in our entire Pine street, this area is the more secure one, and no one while come here to make a problem for you. The only problem is you have to walk two miles from here to reach the entrance of Slum Borough"s exit." Darby said while rubbing his hand.

Abium simply nodded his head and tossed another white gold coin to him.

"You can go back now." Abium said but suddenly paused for a moment and continued, "If you provide me any unusual information, I may give you one or two normal gold coins."

Darby"s eyes instantly lit up once he heard those words and replied hurriedly.

"Few peoples are coming to our Slum Borough in the past few weeks, Sir Jeeves. I don"t know what their purpose is, but they didn"t cause any trouble and simply secluded themselves in different streets."

"Oh? I didn"t expect there would really be a few peoples arrived here beforehand. That means they will also be soon aware of my existence through these gang members. But they won"t be able to find my ident.i.ty easily." Abium instantly nodded his head and quickly spoke.

"Just observe them and tell me about their facial features. If there is someone good at drawing, ask them to draw me rough faces of those peoples. If you complete this task, I will give you a white gold coin. How is it?" Abium asked with a serious tone.

"Yes, sir Jeeves." Darby nodded sincerely and walked off from there towards the Pine street. Meanwhile, Abium stood in front of the small brick house and fell into deep thoughts.

"I finally got a fake ident.i.ty. If somehow I left clues behind during searching about those necromancers, they will only trace back to this place. Also, I want to keep this ident.i.ty as an ordinary fourth-tier warrior who got lucky and entered slum with some hidden motive. A few ruffians will continuously monitor this house for the next few days and try to figure out some information about me. But they are not a problem."

"Even if there is a guy who has ties with the administrative department started to search for me, he will only find out my name is Jeeves or I"m the original servant Abium from Viscount Gauvain"s mansion. No one would suspect a n.o.ble elven mage would be using a fake ident.i.ty and hiding here in the slums. Abium nodded with a satisfactory smile on his face and quickly entered that single storied brick house.

As he entered the house, he noticed there were only two rooms and an attached bathroom at the back of that house. He also noticed there were few holes up in the ceiling and sighed.

"Rainwater will directly fall on to the bed if there is rain. Ha, I have to adjust to this house. While comparing to other huts, mine is way better." He walked over and sat on the wooden bed with an exhausted face.

"It appears this house is Darby"s. Did he give it to me after he sensed there are no ill intentions against him? Hmm, he knew I have gold coins and thought of appeasing me." He chuckled as he gazed at the portrait of Darby on the back of the wooden door.

"I forgot to absorb spirit power. Hmm, after absorbing spirit power from the divine fragment, I also have to start creating a few spell scrolls." He muttered to himself and quickly sat in a meditative pose to absorb those spiritual powers.

Next day morning. March 11th, early morning around 5 "o"clock. Pine Street, Slum Borough,

Abium woke up due to few noises from nearby huts and soon frowned.

"Are these guys are going out for daily works? Tsk, Most of them will only involve in thieving and scamming. I should also act as a skilled thief on the outside. Although I don"t have to steal anything, I just have to act as a fourth-tier warrior with stealing skills." With a nod, Abium also got up and began to get ready for his work.

After a few minutes, Abium walked out of his house and soon arrived at the Slum gate.

Around 6 A.M, the gate began to open from the other side, and multiple royal guards stood with a firm expression on their faces. The unusual thing about now was, they only let them out after checking they hold any identification papers.

Abium also gave his fake ident.i.ty papers and walked out without any problems.

"It seems that guard Palmer is not here." He glanced around his surroundings and soon moved towards n.o.bles Borough. On the way, Abium booked a room in a random Inn and changed into a new fine linen shirt and pants. He also changed his ugly leather boots to the new black one and soon walked out of that Inn.

Following that, he entered into a real estate company named Split"s craftsmen. This real estate company involved in three types of real estate like primary housing facilities, business venues, and land plots with or without edifices.

Split"s Craftsmen traded mostly with houses. Abium didn"t spend much time inside that real estate building and brought a single storied home near to n.o.bles" Borough wall in Commoners" Black street using Jeeves"s ident.i.ty. It cost him almost 200 white gold coins! There were only three rooms inside that house; one side was a kitchen, then a large hall at the center and the other side was a bedroom with an attached bathroom.

"While comparing to the amount I spent on those second-tier spell scrolls, this house is way cheaper."

He brought this house specifically to infiltrate into the n.o.bles" Borough and for staying outside the Slum Borough during searching work. If it was another town, he could have use blink spell and easily sneak into another side. But now he is staying in the capital, and at least one or two second-tier mages always would be on the watch. A slight unusual elemental fluctuation would attract their attention.

"Although, using zero tier spell in commoner"s Borough won"t attract those mages" attention, but I"m not sure about the merchant"s and n.o.bles" Borough. I still remembered teacher Zivior found out about me only after I used the red orb spell in the merchants" Borough. Wait a minute! They should already be aware of me. After all, I used disguise magic spell many times after entering. But it seems they didn"t pay much attention to me after I met with lady Tabitha." He nodded in thought and quickly arrived at 16 Black street where that new single storied house was located. Following that, he started to purchase a few things like quilt, bedspread, a few normal dresses and arranged everything for the new house.
