Chapter 334: Moving Away
After they collaborated with Century Group, the project manager, You Bin, drafted the project contract overnight. The two companies immediately signed the contract two days later.
The first East Sea Real Estate project had officially started and was entering the preliminary stage of preparation.
Jian Ai felt relieved after she had relaxed over the past few days. On the weekend, Chen Jin rented a house and planned to move away.
When he came to Jian Ai’s house back then, Chen Jin didn’t bring anything much. Now that he was leaving, he only had an additional backpack.
Jian Ai accompanied him to Haicheng District, where Chen Jin rented a small apartment near the center of Haicheng District.
“Qinghuan asked someone to help me find a house. I initially wanted to stay in Zhonglou District so that the rent would be cheaper. However, Qinghuan insisted that I stay in Haicheng District. She said that it was convenient. I thought about it and agreed.”
On the way, Chen Jin casually said all these.
After interacting with him for these few days, Jian Ai more or less understood Chen Jin. Although his monthly salary was over ten thousand yuan, which was the same as the salary of a company’s middle or senior management, he had cultivated frugal habits since he was young. He naturally saved as much as he could.
However, Qinghuan was right. It was indeed convenient for him to stay in Haicheng District.
“My family’s new house is also in Haicheng District. When the time comes, we can be closer to each other,” Jian Ai answered with a smile. Then, she thought of Starlight Bar in Zhonglou District and couldn’t help but say, “Besides, if you live in Zhonglou District, you might b.u.mp into Liu Yong again someday. What if he finds trouble with you?”
If Jian Ai didn’t say it, Chen Jin would have almost forgotten about this. Hearing this, he couldn’t help but nod repeatedly. “Yes, I forgot about this.”
Liu Yong was a local tyrant in Zhonglou District. He had offended him, abandoned his job, and ran away. If he b.u.mped into him, he would not let him off easily.
The car stopped in front of a high-level neighborhood, and the two of them got out of the vehicle. Jian Ai looked around casually.
The construction of the neighborhood was not bad. One could tell at a glance that it was a new neighborhood established in the past two years. It was adjacent to the center of Haicheng District and had everything around it. It was indeed a good place.
Chen Jin rented an exquisitely renovated single apartment. It was not that huge but was about fifty to sixty square meters. It was on the sixteenth floor, so the view was wide.
Chen Jin only brought along clothes and daily necessities. Although the house he rented had all the appliances, there were no bed sheets, blankets, pots, bowls, ladles, or basins.
Jian Ai accompanied Chen Jin to a nearby supermarket and bought all the necessities he needed. They bought a lot of things.
It took some effort to move everything back to Chen Jin’s residence. The two of them tidied up until around eleven in the morning.
After sending Jian Ai to the entrance of the neighborhood, Chen Jin said to Jian Ai, “I’m in a hurry to go to the production team later, so I’ll cut the civilities. If you have time in a few days, I’ll treat you to a meal.”
Jian Ai smiled and nodded. “Call me if you need anything in the future.”
With that, Jian Ai lowered her head and got into the taxi.
Chen Jin stood on the spot and watched the taxi disappear around the corner before slowly looking away.
Today was the new beginning of his life. He had to work hard to grab this opportunity and gain a stable footing in this prosperous Baiyun City.
For his mother and sister, Xiao Ai, Qinghuan, and himself!
When she returned to South City, the sunny day a second ago had instantly changed. A large dark cloud pressed down as if a storm was coming.
