Chapter 823: The Battle At The Riverside Part 3
"Well, I guess that is true. But let me ask you this. That sword, can you do that sword slash once more? Even with these other creatures fighting alongside us, the numbers of Chaos beings keeps growing and growing." The human faced fished asked.
" I am not sure. I can try. But you already knew what these were?" Kana did not understand how he knew what the chaos beings were. Even she just learned about them moments ago.
"When the seal guarding the Chaos King was partially lifted, we regained all our memories. All the tribes banded together and are now working as one as guardians of the seal." The human faced fish explained.
"Wait, you said the Chaos King!? I thought he died during the ancient war in the void of oblivion!" The old man"s voice rang out as he landed on the ground.
"You can not truly kill the Chaos King. He is eternal. Something that goes beyond all understanding and only seeks to consume all. If he is released, then we are all doomed no matter which plane of existence you live in. Whether it be your little domain here where you reign as its creator or whether it be the void of oblivion. I also don"t think this is the time to be talking about this. We have a battle fight!" The human faced fish answered as he readied his weapon.
"You are right." The old man said before turning to Kana. "Kana, be careful. If they touch you in any way, they will begin to consume your very existence. It is already amazing enough that you have so many weapons that can fight against them."
Kana looked at the old man and snorted: "Don"t go losing another arm." She was kind of mad at the old man since he was the reason this was happening.
"Hey, I was careless!" If he had not reached out to touch the pillar, this would not have happened. The chaos energy had entered his body through his arm, resulting in him needing to rip off his own arm, but as he was doing that, he was stabbed by a few spears of chaos energy which caused him to be wounded even further. If he did not purge the energy out of him quick enough, he would have given the pillar even more of his divinity. Only after he got far enough away did he teleport to Kana"s location to begin healing.
"Sure, sure! You talk about being all powerful, then you come to me with serious injuries." Kana yelled out as she charged forward.
The old man stood there with his mouth open, wanting to tell her not to underestimate her enemy, but as he saw her cutting a path through the chaos beings with her new sword, he started to question just who the strongest G.o.d truly was. Right now, Kana"s divinity was much higher than before, and her previous powers were still being suppressed. "When she leaves this world, just how powerful will she truly be?"
The old man did not know that Kana had received an orb of divinity so large that it would make his own amount of divinity look tiny. He had created everything in this bubble of multiverses that continued growing with each second. But yet the orb she received from her other me was hundred of times bigger than his own and was from a single being.
Kana"s body twisted and turned as she killed chaos being after chaos being, being careful not to take any of her darklings" prey. She did not wish to take away what they were working hard to get. Those who were under her command would be treated as best as she could. While she could not keep the darklings out all the time due to their sheer numbers and the way they consume everything, she still wanted them to get anything they could when they were out.
But as the battle raged on, Kana"s brow furrowed. She moved towards the old man who was fighting with gusto and asked: "Do you have a way to maybe reseal the seal? More and more keep coming out of the river."
"I might be able to, but I am not sure it will work unless we get more help. We will need to make a path there." The old man looked at the ma.s.s of chaos beings in front of them, which was like a tidal wave rus.h.i.+ng at them, and frowned.
"I will try to cut a path. You follow behind me." Kana never thought there would be a day when she would be taking the lead with this old man and that he would need her help in order to solve an issue. She just wished this issue was not something the old man himself had created.
"Alright, I will follow you in." The old man agreed as he destroyed another chaos being. His way of doing things was a bit different as he had to create a kind of void that could then crush the chaos being into nothingness. Basically, reverting it back to its original state. If he had enough power, he would be able to take millions of them out at the same time, but due to how much power it took to destroy one, he felt very weak.
Kana waved her hand and gave an order to her darklings to push the chaos beings they were fighting to the side before raising her sword and slicing down, creating a large beam of sword qi to shoot forward before she took after it flying forward. They could have just flown up, but Kana wanted to destroy as many chaos beings as possible instead of just skipping over them.
They quickly made their way over to the river where the old man parted the waves revealing the muddy ground underneath, and in the center of it all was a large black ma.s.s formed over a large rock embedded into the bedrock of the river bottom. "That"s where the seal is! We need to somehow disperse the chaos coming out of it to seal it off! Once it is dispersed I can try to place a seal on it to hold it long enough to form a proper seal which I will then need your help with. But the two of us will not be enough. We will need more help to do a proper seal."
