Lu Pharmaceutical Company."Girl, Why didn"t you tell me you doubted Roth?" Dad complained.
"Look at your face, you wear your emotions on your face loud and clear. I was searching for a spy. The whole company would have known about it, just looking at your face. Making them cautious." Ira refuted.
Ira didn"t let her dad know about it. It wasn"t that her dad would not trust her word against James but rather with her dad"s temper, he would confront James directly. With no evidence in her hand, James would leave unscathed.
"Anyway, You did well this time." Dad praised her.
"Where did the funds for the factory come from?" he asked.
"I got them from Vivian," she said.
"Girl, open my locker and take the money you invested in a factory back.
You shouldn"t just use your money for the company." he commanded.
Ira agreed she had just borrowed the money.
Ira pressing the keys said "Dad you should change your locker pa.s.sword.
You simply went for my birthdate!
I know you did so as to not forget the locker pa.s.sword" she smiled.
"Girl! I will forget your birthdate at a time but would never forget my locker pa.s.sword. By the way, I kept it
so that I would remember your birthday not the other way round."
"And you father, I am too young to forget about things. I just dyed..."
"dyed a few hairs white" Ira completed his words.
Many things were back on track. Her relations.h.i.+p improved with her mom, dad and mother in law as well.
The Company was out of danger.
She just kept an eye on James and Ryan. Her pregnancy was good pa.s.sing the first three month critical period.
Things were good, for now. Ira and Viv"s relations.h.i.+p was going well too.
Viv was the sweetest husband.
Still, something was missing.
Ira felt guilty when facing Viv"s tender love and care.
Though uncomfortable it was the truth that she had fooled him for a year and a half at least here this lifetime. They were trying for a child conducted tests and even took medications for fertility. But she didn"t think of him, his feelings, his emotions then.
She needed to confront the truth.
Fortunately, the list of her wrongdoings wasn"t as long as past life, with little hope of forgiveness.
At night, Viv, who came home, to an unlit house. Opening the door saw his wife Ira on the bed, staring him with clouded eyes.
"Ira, Is something wrong?" he seemed worried.
"Viv I need to tell you something." Ira cried.
She hugged him tightly not daring to look at his face.
"Viv I am Sorry. I was wrong. When we started planning for the child I was already on contraception pills.
I hid this from you...Sorry...."
She cried seeking his forgiveness.
Viv said "I know"
Lost in her senses she continued "Sorry... Sorry..."
Viv pressed her to him, stroking her head repeated: "I know."
