"What do we have against, Rolfe?" Anna asked.
It took the twins days to gather every bit of information about Rolfe Lance, and today is the day they are gonna plan on how to deal with Rolfe Lance.
"Our claim that Rebecca"s father is getting his money from Rolfe Lance is true." Aaron started. He also mentioned that the kidnapping case from months ago is not Rolfe"s doing, it was his subordinate who initiated that move, and that move was suggested by their very own uncle.
The twins only scoffed. They are not surprised if their uncle has an idea like that just to get rid of them. Ever since knowing his plan on wanting to take over the family business, Anna and Aaron expected no less from their uncle James.
"As for Juan, Rolfe recruited Juan years ago to use against us," Aaron added. Everything else made sense except for one thing: why is Rolfe going against them? What is his reason for wanting to take down the Coleman family? Those two questions are running inside the twins" minds.
They also got the feeling that there is someone bigger than Rolfe. Someone who is backing Rolfe. They go over the files over and over again, however, it doesn"t say anything.
"If Rolfe truly has a backer, then we must be careful, brother. Our efforts will turn into waste if we are not careful enough." Aaron nodded his head in acknowledgment of his sister"s statement. All they know is Rolfe"s small organization, and if Rolfe has a back, then they should be careful regardless of the information that is in their hands. "Should we tell this to mom?" Anna asked.
"No," Aaron replied immediately. He did not even think about it for a second. "Mom is very resourceful, and I"m pretty sure that she already knows who is the boss of that subordinate." Knowing the skills of his mother"s friends, Aaron is sure that they already know it was Rolfe Lance"s subordinate who initiated that kidnapping case.
Only one thing he could not understand, why are they not making any moves against Rolfe? What are they waiting for? Or are they planning something bigger that could scar Rolfe for life?
"If you don"t want mom to know what we are about to do, we should at least tell mom that we are going on a mission." Just in case they come home heavily injured, their mother and grandfather should know that they went on a mission, so that they won"t make too much fuss on what they did.
"I already got that covered, dear sister," Aaron said with a rea.s.suring smile on his face.
Looking at the time on her phone, Anna stood up and told her brother that she is going to bed. "It"s already late, brother. Nathalia is already sleeping in my room, and I have to wake up early tomorrow."
"Tomorrow? Where are you going?" Since their school gave students a week off, there is no need for his sister to wake up early. It makes him wonder what is his sister is up to for tomorrow.
With a light blush on her cheeks, Anna replied in a shy tone, "Kyle invited me to go with him somewhere, and he said that I should wake up early because the place where we are going is far."
Hearing that, Aaron just stared at his sister like she"s an idiot. "You two are not even officially together, and yet, you guys keep on going on a date?" These past few days, Aaron felt like his sister is going out almost every day not. When he says something about it, his mother and grandfather will only say that he should let Anna do what she wants to do.
"I"m getting to know him better this way." Anna knows that fact and she is not in the rush to be in a relations.h.i.+p either. She is young and so is Kyle, they should take their time and get to know each other better.
Rus.h.i.+ng things will not make things better for them both. What if they really are not compatible with each other? What if they are the total opposite of each other? Or what if their feelings for each are only temporary?
Those what-ifs are messing with Anna"s mind, and the only way she could think of to clear her what-ifs is to be with Kyle as much as possible. To make herself see that she is only thinking too much and nothing else.
"Tsk. You guys do whatever you want." Aaron gives up. He does not want to comment any further. His sister and Kyle are taking to much time, and it is somehow getting on his nerves. "Why can"t they just stop acting like that?" He asked inwardly.
"I"ve been wondering on how should I pay this b.a.s.t.a.r.d for what he has done to my daughter, thankfully, we are going on a mission to save that old man," Leonardo said in a menacing tone.
"What do you mean by that?" Arion asked. He has no idea of what Leonardo is talking about.
Disappointment glistened in Leonardo"s eyes. He wanted to punch Arion in the face again, but he decided not to. After sighing deeply, Leonardo told everything to Arion about the kidnapping case of the kids.
After listening to everything, Arion spoke, "Well, I guess Rolfe deserves more than just death, don"t you think so?" Arion is angry at Rolfe, but he is angrier at himself for not knowing what happened to his twins months ago.
He promised to himself that he will be a good father to his twins, but it looks like he broke that promise. He has never been the good father he expected himself to be. He is more like a big disappointment in everyone"s eyes and even he thinks of himself like that.
"Of course. Killing him is just way too easy." Leonardo replied. Leonardo and the others have been planning on what they should do about Rolfe Lance, however, they have been to busy to pay too much attention to Rolfe.
For them, Rolfe is just an easy target, they can kill him whenever they want to. But they never would have thought that Rolfe has a strong backer. If they have that information from the very beginning, they would be burying themselves trying to get rid of Rolfe and those shameless b.a.s.t.a.r.ds.
"Looks like we"ve become so careless, Mary." Leonardo inwardly stated.
"I have to remind you, kids, that it is not just only Rolfe and Mary"s parents we are up against here. Johan is also somewhat a.s.sociated with Rolfe. His skill has improved, and you two should be careful around him." Just thinking about Johan is making Claire feel pain in her heart.
Mary is not the only one she and her husband treated as their own, there was also Johan. When she heard that Johan killed her husband, it broke her heart into tiny pieces.
She did not know what went wrong that made Johan go against them, but somehow, Claire blames herself for it.
