Refining the Mountains and Rivers

Chapter 1809 – Arriving in the Mutant World

Chapter 1809 – Arriving in the Mutant World

The nine areas of the Great Desolate were an island!

It was just that it was so big and complex to the point that many of the creatures living in it did not realize this.

But this was the truth.

Qin Yu stood on the westmost point of the Western Barbarian Land and a huge sea stretched before his eyes. No end lay in sight.

This was the Eternal Sea!

By right, with a True King cultivation level, he should be able to teleport. But standing by the sea, Qin Yu realized that this was not the case. This caused him to feel fear. He felt that if he used any True King skills in the Eternal Sea, he would be in huge danger.

Thinking of what Fire Shaman said, Qin Yu looked solemn. He was silent before he said, “White Feifei!”

A few moments later, the air trembled and she walked out.

“My Lord, you called for me.”

Qin Yu said, “I will be entering the Eternal Sea to go to the other side. Go and appear once at Xianyang; let Emperor Qin feel your aura.”

He looked calm, “Do you understand what I mean?”

White Feifei said, “Yes, you want Emperor Qin to feel scared and not dare to enter the battle between the barbarians and desolate people.” She looked slightly worried, “My Lord, the Eternal Sea is everlasting. You can cross it in a step but you can also fall into it for eternity. You must be careful.”

Qin Yu nodded, “I know.”

White Feifei bowed before disappearing. She immediately headed to Xianyang to complete what Qin Yu asked of her.

Looking at the Eternal Sea, Qin Yu reached out and the Mountains and Rivers Sword appeared.

He threw it forward and the Mountains and Rivers Sword expanded to be as big as a door. Qin Yu jumped up and sat on the hilt of the sword.

Buzz –

There was a buzzing sound as the sword flew low across the sea. It tore through the waves, creating a white streak of sea foam. He flew off!

Offsh.o.r.e, Qin Yu could see huge s.h.i.+ps belonging to the human cultivators as well as the barbarians fighting them. This was the first time that he witnessed the fight between the two. It was cold and brutal.

In their eyes, there was only hatred that seemed to last forever. It was formed from all the blood that had been lost on both sides.

Compared to the battle with the Desolate people, the battle with the human cultivators was a lot more b.l.o.o.d.y!

Qin Yu did not interfere. The Mountains and Rivers Sword rushed into the sea, avoiding anyone’s gazes, it continued to fly deep into the Eternal Sea.

Very soon, the battle sounds disappeared and all that was left was the single line where the sky met the sea.

Above him, nine suns hung high in the sky and shone brightly.

But now, Qin Yu found it hard to feel any warmth from this light.

It felt like the nine suns were just a reflection.

He looked up at the sky and then looked at the endless sea thoughtfully. The good thing was that until now everything seemed to be calm and there had been no trouble.

The Eternal Sea was extremely silent, like an amicable old man silently watching Qin Yu.

Night fell!

Qin Yu, who was sitting cross-legged on the Mountains and Rivers Sword, felt his heart clench as he became slightly apprehensive.

Woosh –

Opening his eyes, there was a moon above him. However, the moonlight that shone down seemed to be swallowed as it neared the Eternal Sea.

Darkness covered the Eternal Sea. Though this did not affect Qin Yu, he looked more solemn.

Rumble rumble –

The waters started to churn. The calm Eternal Sea in the day was like a nice old man who removed his mask in the night and showed his true brutality.

The violent waves brought with them a horrifying energy that rushed from all directions, threatening to destroy everything. However, these waves could not affect Qin Yu. When they were about a hundred feet from him, they would calm down and disappear.

So amidst the dark sea and the violent waves, there was another seemingly peaceful area. Looking carefully, around this ‘peaceful’ area, the water was parting constantly.

It was the sword aura of the Mountains and Rivers Sword that had split into numerous parts to cut through the waves that were surging inwards. It negated the energy in the waters and that was how the area looked peaceful.

The waves grew stronger and the Eternal Sea became even more chaotic. There was a soft sound from Mountains and Rivers Sword. The sound was still extremely clear amidst the roars from the sea.

Qin Yu frowned slightly but it was not because of the raging Eternal Sea. He had sensed a dangerous aura, a truly dangerous one. However, it did not arrive.

It was as if the other party was near and they were already facing each other, but there was still a window pane that separated them.

They were extremely close but it also felt like they were separated in two different worlds. Unless either one of them took a step out, they would be forever separated without ever meeting.

The darkness started to fade and light appeared at the edge of the sky. The nine suns began to rise again and pushed away the darkness. The violent Eternal Sea started to return to its model state.

There was a soft breeze that followed the light and the seawater became docile like a child again. Only a cheeky light remained flickering, making one wonder if everything that had just happened was just an imagination.

Qin Yu frowned harder, not relaxing just because of the calm now.

The day pa.s.sed and night fell again.

The Eternal Sea grew violent again!

Qin Yu sat cross-legged on his Mountains and Rivers Sword like a bystander silently watching the Eternal Sea roar. It looked extremely scary but it could not hurt Qin Yu at all.

Another night pa.s.sed and day arrived again. It was a repeat of the previous day.

The day was extremely smooth and calm while the night was very violent.

The Eternal Sea was playing a game of changing faces with Qin Yu. Very soon, half a month pa.s.sed. In this period, via observing the nine suns and the position of the moon at night, Qin Yu confirmed one thing.

The Eternal Sea could be small but it could also be endlessly big. Qin Yu finally understood what this meant. Now, he was probably in the endlessly big Eternal Sea.

If he did not do something to change it, he may be trapped in the Eternal Sea forever and go through its peaceful days and violent nights in a neverending cycle.

Letting out a breath, Qin Yu stood up. There was hesitation in his eyes but he quickly pushed it down.

Since he had no choice, then he might as well do it now.

He had already wasted half a month in the Eternal Sea.

Lifting his hand, Qin Yu stored the Mountains and Rivers Sword. The huge waves instantly lost their restriction and rushed over like claws.

Facing the huge waves, Qin Yu was calm as he took a step out.

With the powers of a True King, he could teleport anywhere with a single step…but this step was not the same.

As he landed, he crossed a layer of division that was not tangible but definitely existed. He entered the true Eternal Sea. Or rather, he entered the hidden world in the Eternal Sea.

In front of him, there were a few hundred thousand huge mountains that seemed to rise from the ground. They were all a few million feet tall and their peaks disappeared into the clouds.

Ancient trees that were astoundingly thick covered the view of the sky. Each of their trunks would require a few thousand people in order to cover its circ.u.mference. Any leaf that fell could easily kill a muscular man.

Swish swish –

There was the sound of fast moment as well as leaves falling. Qin Yu turned only to see a giant ant, whose body was about four or five feet, rus.h.i.+ng towards him. Its eyes were glimmering like a predator hunting its prey.

This was not unfamiliar to Qin Yu. There was a complicated look on Qin Yu’s face as he waved his hand and the ant was thrown back.

‘Bam’, the ant fell hard on the ground and broke a few branches and leaves. The ground trembled and shook. Of course, this was what Qin Yu felt. The ancient trees’ leaves didn’t even shake from the movement.

Struggling to flip itself over, horror filled the ant’s eyes as it did not hesitate to turn and run. But just when it moved, a blood red tongue wrapped around the ant like lightning and swallowed it.

The sky darkened as a huge shadow covered it. It was a huge pangolin with s.h.i.+ning scales covering its entire body. It swallowed the ant and its icy gaze landed on Qin Yu.

Maybe it was because Qin Yu was too small. Or maybe it was because of how easily Qin Yu had flipped the ant. The pangolin felt threatened and did not attack Qin Yu. ‘Boom boom boom’, it disappeared into the forest.

If he was not wrong, he had seen this place before when he was trying to make the Cosmic Seacross Bell recognize its master. His divine sense had come to this place where everything was enlarged and where demons lay!

Now, his entire being was here.

Cosmic Seacross Bell…Seacross?

Qin Yu’s eyes lit up and in his soul s.p.a.ce, the Cosmic Seacross Bell rang as if being called.

The bell rang without any sound.

Around him, it was quiet as if nothing had changed. Qin Yu frowned, was he wrong?

Just when Qin Yu touched the Cosmic Seacross Bell, the sea that was far away from here started to grow violent once more.

A huge pair of eyes rose from the sea and stared at where Qin Yu was. It looked shocked and delighted.

Roar –

With a roar, a huge purple dragon rose up into the sky and dashed towards him.

The purple dragon’s actions was like throwing a flaming torch amidst the dry gra.s.s in winter. In an instant, fire raged and spread all over.

The mountain peak shattered from the roar and a beast that had waited for many years appeared with its mouth full of sharp teeth. It flaunted its claws and there was a piercing noise in the air. It jumped at the purple dragon, wanting to tear out a piece of its meat.

Boom –

There was a deafening sound as the purple dragon flicked its tail and whacked the beast, causing it to fly and tumble. It caused several huge mountains and ancient trees to break. Numerous creatures were also flattened because of this and died miserably.

But this attack did not hurt the beast much. Its defense was astounding. It got up and chased after the purple dragon. One was flying in the air while the other was running on the ground. It jumped over mountains and rivers in one leap and caused the entire world to shake.

This was only the beginning.

The purple dragon that was in the sky suddenly roared angrily, with flames sputtering out of its mouth causing the cloud in front of it to evaporate.

An Oriental Giant Bird suddenly appeared. It spread its wings and they seemed to cover the sky. It was extremely ma.s.sive and its feathers truly covered the world!

Its golden eyes stared at the purple dragon, looking heated and greedy. With a shriek, the sonic sound caused the air to tremble and form several transparent wind swords. Each sword was a few thousand feet long and they covered the entire area.

The Oriental Giant Bird flapped its wings and the wind swords flew straight towards the purple dragon. They were about to slice and dice it into a huge meal.

Roar –

The purple dragon roared and the numerous spirits that formed its body all glowed in this instant. The glow gathered to look like a rising sun. It was extremely dazzling and bright, covering the entire purple dragon and making it look as if it was wearing light armor.

It did not avoid and allowed the wind swords to cut its body, defending with its thick armor. It barged through the attack of the wind swords.

There was a solemn look in the Oriental Giant Bird’s eyes. It discovered the strange behavior of the purple dragon; it was very impatient as if rus.h.i.+ng somewhere.

What did it want to do?

While the Oriental Giant Bird was thinking, another giant beast arrived. It was an extremely ma.s.sive and tall three-headed beast. It was so tall that it cut through the clouds and its breathing sounded like thunder.

At this moment, it was running on the ground. It then jumped from the top of a mountain peak, crus.h.i.+ng it to bits. The three-headed beast shot to the sky and through the light; its arms spread opened as it grabbed and held onto the purple dragon.

The mouths of all three heads opened simultaneously, showing thousands of sharp teeth. If the purple dragon got bitten by it, its body would be torn into pieces.

But at this moment, there was an angry cry. The six eyes of the three-headed beast were filled with anger. It suddenly moved to the side but two feathers still pierced its body and knocked it to the ground. It cried out in pain.

The one that attacked was the Oriental Giant Bird. Under its wings, eternal night seem to fall as the entire ground was shrouded in darkness.

It was also because of this that the purple dragon looked even more dazzling.

But now, the three-headed beast was knocked to the ground.

Roar –

Roar –

There were angry roars coming from all directions. Towering figures appeared in sight.

It was as if the sleeping beasts in this demonic world had awakened because of the lure of the purple dragon. They were all staring at the purple dragon and roaring angrily!

It was not yet time to hunt and the purple dragon’s appearance was a surprise to them. But now, the Oriental Giant Bird was actually protecting the purple dragon, not allowing the beasts to hunt and kill. It very quickly became the target of the beasts.

The Oriental Giant Bird with ma.s.sive wings was not scared. Its golden eyes were cold and its cries were even more piercing! An intense will was sent from it to all the beasts. They gradually fell silent. Though they looked angry and heated, they did not dare to disobey.

Because this Oriental Giant Bird in the sky was the most powerful one amongst the beasts, and no beast dared to become enemies with it.

In the light armor, a flash of hesitation appeared in the purple dragon’s eyes as it realized what the Oriental Giant Bird meant. But soon the hesitation disappeared. After it flew out of the sea, it had no choice. It either found the person it had been waiting for or died from the beasts.

The purple dragon no longer wanted to keep experiencing being hunted and eaten by the beasts. It wanted to truly live!

Roar –

With a roar, the purple dragon moved even faster.

In the icy gaze of the Oriental Giant Bird in the sky, there was some delight. It flapped its wings and followed behind the giant dragon. At the same time, it threatened the beasts that were looking at the dragon till they did not dare to attack.

Boom boom boom –

The entire ground was shaking!

The beasts chased wildly behind, waiting for their chance.

This entire Mutant World was thrown into a riot. Thankfully, the world that had been destroyed because of them quickly healed. If not, this entire majestic Mutant World would easily be destroyed by the beast, no matter how huge it was!
