Ok, so muscles now. I"m not going to lie, but I"m kind of pumped to see what happens after this. After all, once I evolve my muscles I"ll be pretty d.a.m.n well equipped. Even against that spider from earlier I was pretty d.a.m.n fine, and that"s without muscles! Alright, no stalling. Upgrade muscles twice![Level limit of Muscles reached, please select evolution]
d.a.m.n, these lists get more and more appetizing. I mean, I don"t know what electromagnetic muscles, would be useful for, but the upgrade sounds pretty cool. I"m still sticking with the basics, so I"ll go for explosive muscles. The new muscles should be able to give me more explosive power, allowing me short bursts of speed or a stronger chomp, at the price of stamina. By the way, Stamina seems to be a hidden stat. I don"t see it in my status, yet I still can feel when I get tired, so it makes some sense. Oh well, upgrade muscles to explosive muscles!
[Confirm?]
Let"s go!
Ack!
Huh. It actually didn"t hurt all that bad this time. 6I suppose that"s because it"s only one evolution, but I"m not complaining. Anyway, got any bonus for me, Jeremy? Any little reward for evolving all of my parts?
[...]
Really? Not even a pat on the back?
[...]
Okay, fine. I get it. No rewards for doing a good job. Hmph. I might not even be motivated to live anymore…
[..]
Fine, fine, I"m just playing. Still, I was hoping for a little bit of a reward, but oh well. I"m kind of bored, but I don"t want to go murder anything, so I guess I should go over what"s happened so far. I remember doing this in my old life, and it really helped me remember everything so it won"t hurt to try it out here.
To start, I woke up here, newly born, with no idea of what was going on. I was then given a worm body and wiggled around in the dirt for a little bit before learning I could upgrade my worm vessel. Then I discovered how painful upgrading is. d.a.m.n, I still shiver when I think of it.
Then, after discovering that dirt couldn"t sate my hunger anymore, I ate the remains of some acid centipedes I had discovered being eaten by a huge monster that I never got to see. After doing that and upgrading again, I went to sleep only to be awoken with hunger. Then my first kill followed. Really the first kill started it all. From then on I would kill and explore, all the while digging, before eventually landing up here! There are a lot of holes in this recall, but oh well. You win some, you lose some.
All right, Let"s dig some more! I know I can"t get any more life matter from digging, but the calm zen of worming my way through the dirt, sometimes not even making a tunnel, is strangely soothing. It must be innate to my worm body. Though to be fair, I should probably stop calling it just a vessel or form. After all, I"ve been here long enough for this body to be just another part of me. If that makes sense. Alright, time for some dig and chill. Too bad this place doesn"t have tv.
---
Hours go by as I mindlessly tunnel, or I guess I should call it terraforming now. My body has actually grown, albeit going unnoticed by me, to almost a meter long. I also just gained yet another level in terraform, only one from several hours of this. Truly a hard skill to level. Which reminds me, my other two skills seem to level way more slowly, no? Is it how I"ve tried to level them up through use? Is there any other way to level up my skills? Truly so many questions with so few answers. Oh well, I"m tired. I"ll head back to base for some rest and prep myself for some monster hunting tomorrow. I"m going to try and level my bite skill!
