d.a.m.n, that fight was way too risky. How did that d.a.m.n centipede even notice me? Even now I can"t figure it out. I"m a worm, I wiggle. I can"t speak, can"t make noise, the only real noise is generated by my setae. Did that f.u.c.ker have something like my heat sense? It"s very possible. After all, heat sense allows me to see everything omnidirectionally, I just subconsciously limit my perception to a more human-like perspective. Oh well, he"s dead anyway, I just don"t like the price I had to pay for that victory. Even now, my body still itches painfully where the wound used to be. It closed up remarkably quickly, but it hurt really terribly. If I didn"t have to end the battle quickly, I probably would"ve never done that.
Moving on, we"re back at home base, so it"s time to spend that life matter! After all, my life matters! Okay, I"ll see myself out. Hehe. I keep trying to put this off but I guess I will get it over with. Pain comes along the path of power! So I have five Life Matter, and three more body parts need to be upgraded beyond the basic level. So should I upgrade them or focus on one part for now? This question is definitely worth pondering, but I simply don"t have time. It"s either get stronger or die.
Ok, so here"s the game plan. I need to up my defense badly, but I also want to upgrade my digestive system since I think it might hold the key to longer periods of time between eating. Even now I fear the hunger pangs I experienced a little while ago. Truly a terrible feeling. Ok, upgrade body by one and digestive system by two. I won"t have any life matter left but oh well.
[Upgrade Body II to Body III]
[Upgrade Digestive System to Digestive system III]
[Confirm?]
Let"s do this!

Hm? I seem to have pa.s.sed out from the pain? Was it that bad? Yes, yes it was. All I even remember was a huge wave of pain roaring through my entire being before I gave in to the pressure. Nothing could even be done, it was that bad.
Ok, that over with, I can now inspect the changes to myself. A few are quickly apparent, like my body feeling much st.u.r.dier, and my digestive system having already devoured the remains of the centipede that should"ve still been there. Some, however, are less apparent. My digestive system, for example, seems to be able to gain much more nutrition from the same amount of ma.s.s. This should go a long way in improving my ability to go without food. Nothing more about my body, though I suspect something should reveal itself whenever I next get a meal. So back to my previous question, can all monsters evolve?
The short answer is yes. It will require further study, but it"s safe to a.s.sume that though all of the acid centipedes I"ve encountered belong to the same species, they are definitely of varying levels. The first two I saw seem to be around level two or three, based on the level of the most recent centipede, Mr. Get f.u.c.ked. The third centipede was probably level one, the same as me at the time. It makes sense now that he couldn"t beat me, I don"t think many creatures have such high cunning or will. That would be scary.
Alright, I"m done with all of this a.n.a.lyzing, it hurts my brain. I"m kind of in the mood to explore, see if I can stalk one of those other creatures by the cold-a.s.s lake or something. For now though I"ll delve into the origins of my species. Dirt food! It may be disgusting but it"s also very calming and peaceful. I"ll make tunnel level five before the end of the day! Or is it night... Oh well, let"s get started.
