The weekend was over and it was back to watching the Genin, but Jiro had already decided who was best paired with who. As the Genin walked over the academy training area, Jiro decided that he had no idea on what to teach them. As usual, some ninja were watching from the shadows and Jiro also noticed that the red haired girl who threw a rock at him was gone. After drawing a ninja out by gesturing with his fingers, Jiro let the news out.
"I already know which Genins are best paired with the other. What now?"
"I"ll let the people who decide know. Please give them some live training that has a higher bar set for them."
As soon as the ninja left, Jiro divided the Genin into the pairs who fought best together. He grinned at the thought of beating up the Genin, but he realized that he would have to really control himself or else they could get seriously hurt. A shadow clone of Jiro appeared. The Genin were all focusing on Jiro as they were expecting some sort of direction, but the clone just charged at the students.
Some prepared themselves for a battle while others were just relaxed and not expecting a real fight. It was certainly not a fight. It was a ma.s.sacre. Jiro just watched as the clone tore through the students with ease. By the time most of them were actually ready to fight, more than half the students had been temporarily put out of condition for battle.
The clone waited for the other Genin to surround it before the harsh teaching lesson began again. This time, Jiro noticed with approval that the kids charged with their decided partners. However, a quick stomp on the ground along with a minor wind jutsu launched a bunch of sand and dust into the air making it impossible for the kids to observe any thing through their eyes.
Instead of making the irritant temporary, Jiro continued by flipping through a couple of hand seals casually before making a funnel of wind form surrounding the Genin in a sandstorm. With the clone"s glowing red eyes, the Chakra outlines of the Genin could be spotted and by continuing the mini sandstorm, most of the pairs were separated by themselves. Some Genin tried to run out by themselves, but the clone easily dispatched them before throwing them out.
Other Genin wandered with their partner to meet other groups. However, the shadow clone stepped in and forcefully separated the kids once more. Jiro wanted to know how much importance was attached to the concept of working in groups. If he was in there with the same resources as those Genin, Jiro would have tried to work solo.
Except for a small select amount, the remaining Genin kept on trying to find some sort of partner. The clone noticed with approval that the remaining Genin had already wrapped their heads around with some cloth to protect their faces. Some of the clothes were damp thanks to water jutsu that some kids knew. However, Jiro didn"t notice any attempts to counterattack or set up some trap. He couldn"t tell if it was because they were confident that he wouldn"t hurt them, but he kept pushing slightly further.
The intensity of the sandstorm died down and the Genin on the outside could see their fellow shin.o.bi inside the dust storm. Jiro continued to carefully look at the Genin when he activated his Genjutsu on the kids. In the Genjutsu, Jiro would actually attack the kids and even perhaps kill some of their cla.s.smates. The Genjutsu was applied to both the kids inside and the kids outside.
The expressions on the kids outside changed when they heard the screams of their cla.s.smates. They instantly turned to Jiro, but his neutral expression along with what they had heard deterred them from taking action. As the screams of the kids inside continued to sound, some of the kids began to get up and begin to walk towards him.
"You should stop this. Our cla.s.smates sound like they are being tortured."
The lack of expression on Jiro"s face along with the lack of empathy was somewhat shocking for the Genin. They had never experienced something like this, but the screams continued to get louder and louder while some of the kids in the dust storm fell silent. At this point, the Genin outside of the dust storm under Jiro"s Genjutsu finally attacked him. Right when they lunged at him, the Genjutsu ended and the kids were right back at where they were earlier.
Flabbergasted, the kids exchanged glances trying to figure out what had happened. During the time that the kids outside were under a Genjutsu, the Genin inside the dust storm were also under a Genjutsu. They had seen Jiro begin to kill their comrades so they also began to attack, but the Genjutsu also ended at that point.
The group of completely shocked kids just stared at one another as some started to cry upon seeing their alive comrades. Others embraced each other joyously. As hugs and cries of joy were filling the field, the ninja in charge of observing Jiro were obviously angry at him as he wasn"t supposed to do something that traumatic to the Genin, but they were also made extra wary.
Genjutsu was a skill that was supposed to usually affect one person, not a whole group. The Chakra drain for such a stunt should have been very high, yet Jiro looked fine. He didn"t look like he had to put a group of people under a ma.s.s Genjutsu.
"Take a rest. You all probably need it."
Jiro began to walk off after dismissing the kids. Usually, he would train the kids until later in the afternoon, but it was still morning and Jiro was still kind of hungry. He stopped in front of a restaurant to enjoy a meal before going back to digesting the information he learned about sealing.
-------------------------------
A group of people dressed in dark brown robes were gathered in a forest nearby Uzushiogakure. The brown robes were waving around from the wind blowing and a colorful robe with many detailed lines on it was revealed under the brown robe. They were meeting with a group of shin.o.bi who all had white masks with small slits for the eyes and a triangular black area where the mouth would be. Etched into the mask were four wavy lines with two stacked on top of another.
Under the dark sky with no moon present to illuminate the area, the people dressed in brown robes were handing over papers to the shin.o.bi dressed in white masks. Soon the masked shin.o.bi disappeared, but another group of shin.o.bi then arrived. They too were dressed in uniform dark grey and black equipment, but their masks were decorated to look like animals.
The same papers were handed over and as the Anbu of Konoha disappeared, one of the brown robed people sighed. The man pulled down his hood to reveal that it was the man who Jiro had threatened recently. With the sea breeze tickling his nose, the man could only ask the question which haunted him since he started doing this.
"Why can"t we share all that has to do with sealing openly?"
Another person pulled down their hood as well revealing another young face and as more and more of the seal masters pulled down their hoods, a plethora of relatively youthful faces were revealed. No one answered the man"s rhetorical question and everyone pulled their hoods up again. They quickly advanced to the pillars and man who had been robbed by Jiro waved his hand before the pillar allowing all the seal masters to pa.s.s through the barrier.

The next morning, Jiro got up from mediating on the bed and he was frowning. The knowledge was starting slowly get digested, but what he was learning was not what he wanted to learn about. He was learning all about how to use sealing in order to store materials and the various alterations that could be done to a seal in order to make it hold materials with more or less strokes of ink.
Jiro was also learning about other uses of sealing, but none of what he was learning seemed to be pertaining towards using sealing in an offensive way. It was all supportive or auxiliary functions which was not going to serve his purpose. Thoroughly disappointed for now, Jiro prepared himself to be learning more functions that he would not find useful in sealing.
Thinking of that Uzumaki girl, Jiro began to wonder if he could perhaps try to learn about sealing from her or her family. He knew that there were many guards that were around her so she was a very important person to the Uzumaki. If he were to become a guard or personal mentor for her, Jiro figured that he could learn more about the offensive purposes of sealing. With a new plan in mind, Jiro exited his house, but he was also secretly hoping that the knowledge he was still absorbing would yield some sort of favorable information that he could use.
