All three of them are together now. Both Rakuri and Kurira came back to her life with a plan to restore their lives back to normal, and that is of course… through gaming. They have purchased two consoles of their own, each costing no less than 10 million dollars each. Siola of course, not questioned where they got it from. If they don"t talk about it, then there is no need for her to ask because she knows that both of them don"t want to talk about it.
"Goodness, I can"t believe you convinced that cunning old man." said Siola.
Kurira went smug all of a sudden, "Hehe, all thanks to Rakuri here."
It is actually through shady tactics, finding all kinds of dirt about the Mithra family. Of course, both of them tried to be vague when it comes to explaining it to Siola. They don"t want her to feel bad about her family, even if they are not in good terms with each other.
However, quite surprisingly, all of that dirt is not actually necessary since Hajaran was planning for them to stay all this time. He wants them to educate Siola even more than their planned schedule. This is an opportunity that comes rarely, so Rakuri took this chance and grasped all the profits she can get her hands on.
Which results in these two consoles.
Each of their consoles is being tied up to each other so that they can share their resources to decrease load time. Walking around them, "Haa… this is so nostalgic. We used to do 24/7 in this thing. Years have gone by, I wonder what changed." Said Kurira.
"Well, aside from the realism mode… nothing much really. Are we going in now?"
Shrugging as she says it, "Yeah, sure. What are we waiting for?"
Shortly they went inside the capsule with a completely tense beating heart. Not knowing what to expect, they are afraid that it"s not going to work out, yet at the same time, they"re curious how it"s going to play out.
As they went through the slope of the blue and gray, once they opened their eyes, they are seeing an image of a woman stood there in front of them.
"Oh ya? You bring your friends here with you?"
Siola"s eyes quickly widened, "Lady K???"
"Huh?" Rakuri looked around and noticed that instead of arriving at the Menu screen, they arrived at an empty white void which only filled with one desk and a large building. "Dola, what is this? Where are we?"
"Err…"
Konig palmed her face.
After giving a stern scolding to Siola, she went to explain everything to her companions. Just like Siola, they quick to catch up. Unlike the rest, Rakuri is the closest in terms of knowledge when it comes to Konig since she used to worship her back in the day.
"I still can"t believe this. It"s like the lore being shattered and tore around in pieces. Another world aside, how do we get in the game?" Rakuri truly doesn"t care whether it"s a different world or not. All she cares about whether the three of them are safe... or not.
"…" Konig lifted her fingers and then snapped it.
*Bwooomph*
A portal quickly appeared along with two naked clones of their body. "Inject yourself in there and go inside that portal, everything from that point onward will lead you to the… game you mentioned" pausing for a moment, "Don"t die too much, okay?"
*Pffft*
Kurira burst out to laughter, "Bwahaha, dying, huh. I"d like to have a taste with that."
"Don"t talk like that, it"s rude" said her pair, "Please don"t mind her, Lady K. She"s always like this." Konig didn"t pay her any mind in the first place, but she"s glad to know that Kurira isn"t really meant to be rude. "Have a safe journey then."
The three of them nodded, and by using an Ancestral link created by Siola. They went inside the minds of their clones, and went inside the portal.
Once again, they flew through the slope of 101, reaching into the character creation menu. Oddly enough, they can see each other from there. Unlike before, they noticed that… there is no system girl around. There might be changes happening in the game so they don"t a.s.sume too much.
"Ohh, this… is cool. So, which cla.s.s you guys gonna do?" asked Kurira.
Rakuri pondered for a moment. Glancing left, "Dola, which one are you taking?"
"…" holding her chin as she configures the appearance of her character. Nothing much has been changed, well, one can say that there is nothing of her appearance has changed. "Maybe… Necromancer."
Rakuri"s brows tilted, "A Pinnacle? Don"t you think it"s too risky?"
"Well, we haven"t tried it out. I mean, if we played around with something we always do, isn"t that boring?"
"We"ve been doing it for years, but you"re right. What about you, Kurira?"
"…" many cla.s.s that the menu offers piqued her interest. Back in the days, she used to play as a multicla.s.s. Picking all kinds that can give her the most benefits while covering all of her weaknesses until she settled down on one thing, which is the Wizard cla.s.s.
"A Templar, I guess."
"What, preposterous! You would just run around in a bikini, why would you pick something so holy?" Kurira burst out to laughter when her pair says that, she only glanced, but didn"t respond.
Having one as a Pinnacle and then the other as an Advanced cla.s.s, Rakuri wants to balance it out and play as the Base cla.s.s.
"All right. I guess the Mage it is then."
None of them actually configure their appearance, leaving them as default which is mimicking their real life"s appearance. Rakuri went as Rakuri, Kurira went as Kurira, but for Siola… she went as Dola.
Her hands trembles, with a smile on her face, she turned to face the others and then hit the start on the menu. The system girl has gone, the Realism Mode is no more.
Most of the menu settings have been changed to be something so simplistic, they wondered what happened.
Soon after, as light pa.s.ses through their eyes. They emerged from the ground, inside the cell in a cage of the Prison Realm.
…
One thing they quickly noticed when they opened their eyes is that… inside the cell, the group of old men is gone. Dola frowned as she walked around, "I"ve saved them before. Of course, they won"t be here anymore." She hasn"t confirmed their safety, and because of it, she was saddened a little. It was only for a short time, but the group of old men, especially Baldy, was very "kind" to her.
"..." Wearing only tattered clothing, all three of them going around in the room searching for something. Looking for a way out. Kurira noticed that there is a mild ringing tone in her head, "Hey, how do I open the status again?"
"Well, we need a mirror, of course?" said Dola.
"Not that, you idiot. I still remember we used to open the status without that annoying mirror."
Being faced by a sudden insult, Dola quickly went to shut her mouth. Rakuri"s eyes light up instead, "Eyes… we use our eyes back then."
"Ah!" both Dola and Kurira pound their palms. Soon after, they both walked towards each other and looked at each other"s eyes.
"…"
Mumbling seductively, "Your eyes are beautiful, Dola." Her cheeks redden a bit, "Shut it. Just do it quickly."
Focusing her eyes straight to the reflection of the brown color, Kurira managed to open up her status. There is a notification in the inbox.
She quickly opened it right away, and it instantly enlarged out of her eyes.
Many lists of changes are active. However, most of them actually mean nothing to them. Except is that now, the Realism mode has been integrated into the Normal mode. This is game-changing. Not only that there is no more Pain Reduction slider, all the survival mechanics are active. Snowy mountains will freeze you to death if you"re not using a mantle or cloak, fire spells will burn the environment, and a lot more.
"This is quite messed up, so all players are now in Realism Mode, huh. They compensated by giving them 14 days boosters to all EXP and Loot gain."
"We received ours?" asked Dola.
"Yep. Guess we better hurry and get the f.u.c.k out of here before it died down."
"Wait, is it like, 14 days here or in real life?"
"Real life, baby. Come on, we should go. There are some weapons there behind that coffin, go carry it for us."
"Eh? Since when I"m your porter?"
"Well, "cause you"re a Necromancer, duh. What can you do in this early game? Guess what, Nothing! Now, be a good dog and fetch those weapons!"
"Hngrr…" gritting her teeth knowing that it"s the truth, Dola can only swallow it and just do what she says.
Continuing on, she took the weapons and distribute them to her companions. Rakuri was being given a staff, Kurira took the wooden club and a plank shield while Dola holds the leftover weapons, putting them in her inventory, and she also uses a staff.
As soon as they holds them…
*BAM*
A ball of flame blasted the cell"s door, a man appeared, "Hey, you! Lost ones! You wanna get out of here? Come help us."
The three tilted their brows. With Kurira on the front, they decided to go along with it. Curious about what the man"s plans are. "Heeh, lead on, my man."
