Chapter 1653: Chase Them Out
Yun Bilu was elated to see her sister, and she chatted happily. Like a happy pill, the atmosphere at home turned for the better because of her presence.
However, not being able to see Elder Sister Yaoyao made Yun Bilu feel a little empty inside.
But right from the start, Old Master Duan had already stated that Duan Yanhao and Bai Yaoyao went out to settle some things, so she could only wait for them to come back.
From the moment they got down from the plane, they rushed to their house. Naturally, they didn’t have the time to look at the current affairs of Country X and did not know about Bai Yaoyao’s predicament with the rumors.
Not long after they finished their meals, a commotion began outside their doors.
Yun Bixue frowned, and her grip on the book she was reading tightened. Her face was filled with worry as she raised her head to look out. “Is someone outside?”
Xie Limo comforted her by taking her hand. “Don’t worry. I will go and take a look.”
Yun Bilu quickly stood up. “I will go out and see what’s happening.”
Huang Yize stopped her and said lightly, “If there’s anything, the security guards will inform us.”
Old Master Duan held onto his walking cane as he walked out from the washroom. Hearing the commotion outside, he said, “Is my second and fifth son outside?”
After all the speculations from yesterday, followed by this commotion early in the morning, Old Master Duan had an inkling as to who it was.
And at that moment, the security guard entered.
Old Master Duan asked sternly, “What’s going on outside?”
“To answer Old Master’s question, the Second and Fifth Young Master have returned. Master Chi is with them, and they are saying that they want to meet Old Master and Little Young Master!” The guard was still used to calling Duan Yanhao as Little Young Master on Duan family’s premises.
Old Master Duan slammed his walking cane on the ground several times as his expression s.h.i.+fted. “They still have the cheek to come. Chase them away. All of them!”
Old Master Duan’s tone was rough. It was obvious that he was furious.
“Understood!” The guard answered immediately upon receiving his orders.
When the Second and Fifth Young Master heard the words from the guard, their expressions paled. “We are here for our nephew. We are just looking out for him, and yet Old Master Duan is not allowing us to see him? That’s too biased.”
“I know right. Old Master Duan has always been biased. This villa is also our house, so on what grounds can he stop us from going in?”
Master Chi was shocked too. “Did you mention to Old Master Duan that I was here as well?”
“I did.”
“And he still instructed you to chase us out?” Master Chi found it unbelievable. Although his family was not one of the top n.o.ble families in Country X, the Duan family has always given him face because of his deceased daughter, Chi Jiaojiao. This was the first time he was treated in this manner—being chased out!
Which was why he found it unbelievable.
The guard replied expressionlessly, “I’m just here to convey Old Master’s wishes. That’s the only thing he said. Please don’t make things difficult for me. I hope that you sirs can leave quickly!”
Master Chi did not know how to react. It was obvious that he couldn’t accept such treatment from them.
Meanwhile, the Second and Fifth Young Master refused to give up. They continued to yell outside, looking like they wouldn’t stop unless they were allowed in.
Old Master Duan became irritated by the commotion outside. At this crucial moment, their gates would be swamped by reporters who would report carelessly. He had no choice but to let them in for the time being.
The moment they entered, Old Master Duan huffed angrily, “The two of you still have the cheek to enter. I made you leave so what objections do you have?”
“Father, don’t be like this. You’ve always been biased and gave everything good to your grandson. I’ve never seen you treat your sons this well. We should have a share of this power as well. We did not comment much about you letting him become the president, but you actually let him marry such a woman…”
