Yee Len gasped at the scene happening in front of him.Mua Kong"s eyes widened, he rushed forward and swept the little boy off the floor into his arms. How in the world did his little man made his way back to him? Mua Kong"s eyes searched around before getting up and asked, "You said there was a new cook in the kitchen?"
"Mm." Yee Len answered.
Mua Kong carried the little boy out of his room and rushed to the kitchen. All the maids and servants were startled when they saw their Lord"s sudden visit to the kitchen. They all stopped what they were doing and bowed their respect to their Lord. "What brings My Lord here this evening? May we be of a.s.sist?" Elder Mae asked.
"Where is the new cook you just hired?" Mua Kong asked.
"Ah, he said he"s going to look for his younger brother." Elder Mae fixated her eyes on the little boy in Mua Kong"s arms... "Which is the one you"re carrying." Elder Mae replied wanting to asked more questions. "My Lord, he looked quite like you when you were that age." She smiled.
Elder Mae has been serving the Queen way before Mua Kong was born and had been around to take care of Mua Kong all his life and now she is taking care of the estate for him. She had a hunch that the little boy might be their young master in the future.
"Mm.." Mua Kong nodded and turned around to head out. Before he reached the door, he stopped and turned around, "Elder Mae, can you make something that is easy for children to eat and bring it over when you"re done?"
"Of course, I was going to do it even if you did not ask." Elder Mae replied happily.
"Mm.." Mua Kong turned around and left carrying his boy. All the maids whispered among themselves behind Elder Mae about how their Lord seemed friendly liked children. Many of them wasn"t around when Mua Kong was a baby so they did not know, but Elder Mae knew.
Mua Kong carried the little boy back into his study chamber and ordered Yee Len to find the young boy who made the food. Mua Kong knew in his heart, the little man is without a doubt, Hli Ja and his baby.
In the study room, Mua Kong walked to the shelf and took out an ointment bottle before sitting down on the chair. Once he sat down on the chair, he let his little boy sit on his laps as he unscrewed the bottle and gently applied ointment on his boy"s forehead.
After he applied ointment on his boy"s forehead, Mua Kong checked underneath the clothes for additional bruises. When he lifted the shirt up, he saw the pendant he had given to Hli Ja way back after their first encounter in the mountain. His heart shook at the apparent evidence and pulled his son closer for a hug. The appearance of his son is evidence that Hli Ja is still alive. For what reasons she refused to come back, he was not sure of. After a moment, he rolled up the pants to see if there is any more bruises.
The knee was bruised, the right knee has a bigger bruise than the left knee. Mua Kong apply ointment gently on his boy"s knee. He looked at his boy"s face who tried to put on a tough expression, even though the bruises hurts, he does not whine or cry. His eyes teary and he tried to close his lips shut together. Mua Kong chuckled at the cute tough expression of his boy.
Soon, the door swung open and the kitchen boy rushed in with a panicky expression yelling, "Little Superglue!"
Mua Kong and Yee Len was dumbfounded at the nickname. They could not help but chuckled at the odd nickname.
When he heard his uncle called, the little boy sitting on Mua Kong"s laps turned his head to look at his uncle. He put on a big smile and tried to get down from Mua Kong"s laps.
Mua Kong help lifted him down. When both his legs landed on the ground, with his short legs, he ran towards his uncle with a big grin on his face. "Pao Pao, Houa Houa didn"t cried at all." He pointed to his forehead and knees, "See, see, hurt, hurt. Houa Houa didn"t cry. Will mommy come back?" Pao Hua was lost for an answer. He reached down and hugged his little nephew tightly, not sure how to answer that question. He, himself, also want sister to come back too.
Pao Hua looked at the man sitting on the chair, his pupils dilated and shocked. He was surprised to see Yee Len but when he saw Mua Kong, he was even more startled. Mua Kong was the man with the poor complexion that he had given medicine too.
Seeing that the kitchen staff was the boy who had given him medicine almost four months ago, Mua Kong furrowed his eyes at the boy. So sister and the son, could his sister be Hli Ja and the 2 years old son at the time was his son? Why didn"t he probed for more information then? Wasn"t his purpose of roaming around the country was to find information about her? However, he ended up like a living corpse and have no interest in human affairs.
Mua Kong asked, "Where is your sister?"
