Chapter 224: Dissing the Reporter (1)
“This friend from the media, you must have graduated many years ago. The procedures then were very different from now. If you have any doubts about my results, I think you should go and find out how college entrance exams are held nowadays. Also, as for how I went from the bottom of the barrel to the top of the cla.s.s, I think you must not have done your research before you interviewed me. That is why you do not know that I was from the top science cla.s.s at Jiameng High School. If you have any doubts concerning my college entrance exam scores, you are welcome to complain to the Ministry of Education.”
Ye Tianxin’s words made the reporter blush, and he asked a different question.
“You are good at studying. Does that mean you are good at acting? You are the female lead in a movie by a famous director for your first film. Did you win this role through an audition?”
Ye Tianxin was amused by the reporter. She understood that he wanted to generate more hits for the article he would be writing.
However, she did not like what he had just said.
“The scriptwriter was the one who chose me to be the female lead. Are you satisfied with this answer?”
The reporter had never seen such an arrogant newbie.
The scriptwriter had picked the female lead? What a joke!
Everyone knew that the scriptwriter usually did not have much say in the production of a movie, much less a ridiculous thing like picking the female lead.
Did she think that this was H Country’s entertainment industry?
“Miss Ye Tianxin, do you know that your college entrance exam score is the highest score throughout the nation? Are you going to give up university to enter the entertainment industry?”
Honestly, if her grandmother had not fallen ill and if she had not needed money, she would not have entered the entertainment industry.
“No, I like acting, but this is just a hobby of mine. It is not my dream.”
A few other reporters also asked a couple of questions in different areas which Ye Tianxin all answered.
Just when Ye Tianxin had thought that the press conference was going to end satisfactorily, the reporter Ye Tianxin had dissed earlier stood up with a microphone in his hand.
“Miss Ye Tianxin, I just received news that you forced your cousin to the detention center. You even dated a cla.s.smate of yours in high school. Everyone in the town of Jiameng knows that you are a problem child. Is this true?”
The reporter’s words turned the harmonious atmosphere in the press conference frigid.
Ye Tianxin continued smiling. She looked at the reporter and then told Guan Chenxi, “Elder Sister Chenxi, can you check the ident.i.ty of this reporter?”
The reporter thought that he had managed to find Ye Tianxin’s sore spot. He took out his ID arrogantly and handed it to Guan Chenxi.
Guan Chenxi looked at the man’s workplace and his name. “He is Reporter Yang Shaopeng from Strawberry Daily.”
Strawberry Daily?
Wasn’t that a tabloid that published lies? The tabloid that many people had sued?
That trashy newspaper never learned from their mistakes!
“Reporter Yang, Please listen carefully to what I am about to say. I hope that you will not take things out of context when you write this report when you go back and conduct yourself professionally and uphold the ethics that a reporter should have. You should just report the facts as they are. First, as for why my cousin Ye Youran ended up in the detention center, you should call the police station and ask them about it. The police station has transcribed interviews and reports about what happened.
“Second, I did not date in high school. Third, I am a problem child, but I am also a high school student. No one set a rule that a problem child cannot be a high school student. Everyone has gone through a rebellious phase in their youth. Fourth, if I find out that you have intentionally taken things out of context in your article, I will sue Strawberry Daily. Fifth, from now on, I, Ye Tianxin, will not take any interviews from reporters of Strawberry Daily.”
