Chapter 1390: Tianxin, You’ve Turned Naughty! (2)
He said softly, “My little sweetheart, would you still love me even if my face is disfigured?”
“Of course I’ll want you. No matter how you turn out, you’ll still be my Qingcang.”
Li Qingcang lifted his right hand to the side of his mask and gently lifted off the mask. After letting Ye Tianxin get a glimpse of his face, he quickly put the mask back on his face.
He wrapped his arms around Ye Tianxin’s waist and let her sit on his lap. He said softly, “Tianxin, this was what actually happened. You know the circ.u.mstances back then. I’ve already contacted s.h.i.+ Han, and the situation was very urgent when I left Capital University. Furthermore, I found some other clues before the explosion happened. That’s why I left in such a hurry. Tianxin, don’t worry, I’ll be fine. When I’m done dealing with the issue at hand, I’ll be back. When that happens, I’ll hold a fairytale-like wedding ceremony, and you’ll truly become my wife.”
Just as Ye Tianxin and Li Qingcang were engrossed in their lovey-dovey conversation, Jing Zhichen had already reached their room and was standing outside the door. He knocked on the door forcefully.
He sounded very anxious and worried as he asked, “Tianxin, are you inside?”
Ye Tianxin felt rather helpless. She looked at Li Qingcang. She knew that Li Qingcang didn’t want other people to know that he was still alive.
“What do I do now?”
Li Qingcang pointed at the bathroom and said, “I’ll go in there.”
Jing Zhichen stood outside the door and yelled, “Tianxin, are you inside the room? Open the door now! I’ll count to three. If you don’t open the door by then, I’ll ram it open!”
“One, two, three…”
Ye Tianxin opened the door after counting to three.
Jing Zhichen looked at Ye Tianxin who seemed completely unscathed. He seemed rather surprised as he asked, “Tianxin, what’s going on? What happened just now?”
“Nothing happened.”
Ye Tianxin looked at Jing Zhichen. He was panting after sprinting to her room. Feeling a little embarra.s.sed, she said, “Just now, I accidentally stubbed my toe on a chair while calling you.”
“Are you alright?” Jing Zhichen sounded rather concerned.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Oh, by the way, since you’re here, I have a doc.u.ment here to show you.”
Ye Tianxin took out the doc.u.ment that ratified the transfer of the cultural relics from Wales to Ye Tianxin as a gift. Jing Zhichen glanced at the doc.u.ment and immediately exclaimed uncontrollably, “Wow, Wales is pretty darn generous.”
“Yeah, I feel that he’s pretty generous too,” Ye Tianxin looked at the photos of the relics on the doc.u.ment and said, “Actually I still feel quite upset about this. They were the invaders who pillaged us and robbed these relics from us. We have to buy them back at exorbitant prices.”
Jing Zhichen laughed heartily after hearing Ye Tianxin’s comment.
“Tianxin, I’ll arrange for a security company to help us s.h.i.+p these two relics back to our country.”
Ye Tianxin nodded.
“After we s.h.i.+p it back home, I’d like to donate them directly to the Forbidden City.”
Jing Zhichen nodded and said, “Of course, we can donate them. Before we do that, I need to do some publicity for you. Although we’re not short on money, that doesn’t mean we can donate such precious items without anything in return, isn’t it? I’ll tell the planning department of the company to come up with a proper plan for this.”
Jing Zhichen felt that in his company, Ye Tianxin was indubitably the number one celebrity.
All of the best resources that the company had access to were channeled to her.
Ye Tianxin didn’t need money right now, but she needed publicity and recognition.
He had to garner a huge crowd of fans for Ye Tianxin. Who knows if these fans might come in handy in the future?
Ye Tianxin found something new for Jing Zhichen to do, so he happily went on to work on his new task.
Ye Tianxin yawned, she was feeling a little sleepy. She went into the bedroom.
Inside the bedroom, Li Qingcang was leaning against the headboard of the bed. He looked at Ye Tianxin the moment she walked in. There was no mask on his face. He had taken off the silver-white mask and placed it on the bedside table.
