The next day, Seo Joon was at Becca"s apartment having breakfast with her. Becca"s phone rang and it showed an unknown number on the screen. She clenched her teeth and set her phone down, not wanting to receive the call. "Are you not answering that?", Seo Joon asked before he wiped his mouth.
"Nah, it"s probably just some spam call."
He got up from his seat and placed the dishes in the sink, "It might be important, you should answer it. I"ll use the toilet."
When Seo Joon left the area, Becca"s phone rang again and it was still from the same unknown number. Gritting her teeth, she picked up her phone and placed it on her ear.
"What took you so long to answer, love?", a man"s voice sounded from the other line.
Becca didn"t say anything and the man sighed, "Why are you not talking? I miss your voice.". He spoke with a low voice, very slowly taking his time.
"What do you want?", Becca answered flatly.
"You know what I want. Come back to my side and let me take care of you.", his voice was lazy as if he wasn"t in a hurry. A bubbling sound of water was heard from his side.
"I"m hanging up.", she said and was about to hang up the call when the man spoke again.
"If I wasn"t injured, I would have already come to you. If I can"t take missing you anymore… I"ll come and see you.", the man announced, his voice sounded dangerous.
"Don"t you dare show your face in front of me and stop calling me.", she spoke before ending the call.
Just then, Seo Joon appeared from the side, "So… who was it?"
Becca was startled but she composed herself right away, "Spam call.", she smiled and stood up from her seat. "Ready to go?", she asked as she wore her bag on her shoulder.
Seo Joon smiled and nodded, letting Becca hook her arm around his.

Spring Grove Hospital - VIP room
"How"s the software project going, Samantha?", Chairman Cho asked as he was being fed with oranges by Mrs. Cho.
She clicked her tongue and retracted her extending arm that was about to feed him another piece. "Stop talking about business! You are here to rest!", she complained.
"What? It"s not like I"m working, I just wanted to know.", Chairman Cho responded.
Samantha giggled at the sight of them, she visited Daniel"s father alone since he was busy at work. "It"s going very well, Uncle. There"s nothing to worry about. My people are very efficient and it"s already on the implementation and first testing phase. I will talk to Daniel about the current progress and if the executives want to see it, we"ll prepare and do a presentation."
"That"s good. That"s good." he nodded. Chairman Cho was impressed with Samantha. He was very glad that his son found a very capable woman.
When he had a heart attack the day before, one of his fears was that he wasn"t ready to leave his family yet. His wife was definitely the person he didn"t want to part with but apart from her, he was very worried that his sons would have a hard time if he dies.
Although Liam is a carefree man, he is a responsible one especially when it came to the Cho Corporation. And though Mr. Cho trusts his eldest son Daniel so much, he thought that he might still be young to handle everything about the business on his own. Mr. Cho wanted to stay as long as he could and now that his health was compromised, he was even more determined to do everything he can for his family.
And knowing that Samantha is with his son, he was satisfied with the thought that Daniel will most definitely have an heir in the future.
With this idea in mind, Mr. Cho turned to Samantha again. "So, when are you going to give me a grandson? I hope it"s soon."
Samantha who was drinking tea choked on it and was sent into a fit. How could he ask that so casually?
"Did he think that I could just lay an egg like a chicken anytime?", Samantha thought
"Oh sweetheart, here… a napkin.", Mrs. Cho handed her a tissue before she raised a brow at her husband, "Honey! You scared her, why would you suddenly ask that? You were just talking about business just now, how did you come to think about a grandchild?", she shook her head in disappointment.
Samantha silently thanked Daniel"s mother for what she said, at least she"s on her side.
Or at least that"s what she thought before Mrs. Cho turned to look at her with a smile on her face.
"But yes, Samantha… when are you going to give us grandchildren? I don"t really need a lot, maybe just two. A boy and a girl would be nice. But I don"t care what the gender is really, 2 boys or 2 girls… doesn"t matter. Oh, how cute it would be if they were twins huh?!", she paused to put a piece of apple in her mouth before she continued, "You know you could start making one right now, and then by mid-year next year you would already pop it out."
Samantha didn"t know whether to laugh or cry, she was already praising Mrs. Cho in her mind but what she just said scared the s.h.i.+t out of her. Chairman Cho was only asking for one child! But she was all energetic and said two children will be nice!
Twins!
And that they should try to conceive now so that she could what? Pop it out next year? Pop what out!?
Even Chairman Cho who was merely asking in curiosity was also stunned by his wife"s excitement.
"Honey, where are you? Please save me from your parents. I don"t think I can come out of here alive.", she feared. She swallowed, wis.h.i.+ng that she could shrink and be eaten by the ground.
Samantha was already tempted to call Daniel at that moment. Disrupting her thoughts, there was a knock on the door before it opened. Dr. Devyn Nam came in with a nurse next to her.
Walking towards the bed, she spoke in a friendly but professional tone, "Good day, Mr. Cho. How are you feeling today?"
