Haruka thought as she glanced up at Eureka who, of course, is still wearing her blindfold. After a few minutes everything she had cooked were finished. Haruka didn"t eat that much, she knows that but was she too focused on eating that she didn"t notice that she ate a lot? Or did Eureka ate most of it?
"Do you plan on going somewhere?" she asked respectfully.
"No, I plan on staying here today. I saw a room full of books, is it possible that, that was your library or were those books confidential matters? Am I allowed to be there?"
"Yes, that is indeed the library. And yes, you are allowed to be there."
"Then I shall really be staying home for today, you can do whatever you want as well. You don"t have to worry about my safety," Haruka clapped her hands and stood up, she started fixing the dishes.
Eureka stood up ready to help her in fixing.
"No, it"s alright. You should go and continue your work. You"re quite besy right? I apologize but I woke up in the middle of the night and noticed that your lights were still on. I took a peek and saw that you are busy doing something on your table. So don"t mind this, I am living in your home and I am being protected by you. This is all I can do right now."
"..."
"I"m really sorry, I shouldn"t have peeked. I really didn"t mean to," Haruka became fl.u.s.tered when Eureka didn"t reply.
"Please don"t be fl.u.s.tered your highness. If I didn"t anyone to see what I am doing in my room then I should have locked it myself. I went out last night to get a drink and decided not to close it. At the same time I know that you were there, I have strong sense after all. So please don"t apologize to something you did that is not wrong at all. All of us are curious plus you didn"t stay for too long, you took a peek and then left," Eureka replied after hearing her fl.u.s.tered voice.
"Y-Your highness?" Haruka, this time, became fl.u.s.tered because of a different reason.
"Part od the reason why I was silent was because I was thinking how I should address you. Calling you lady is still too improper. While calling you lady Kara is too much of a ha.s.sle especially since that is not your real name. The king obviously will be marrying you so calling you your highness is just the right thing. It may not be soon but I"m very sure that you are the only one who he will marry in this life of his."
"You... really..." Haruka don"t have any words for what she had said.
"Also," Eureka then added.
Haruka looked up at her once again.
"I was also thinking how I should compliment your cooking, but "it"s really delicious" is the only thing that comes to mind. That"s why. Thank you for the food, it"s really delicious and I enjoyed it a lot. I will be staying in my room for the rest of the day, if you need anything else please just call for me."
Eureka bowed down before going back to her room.
"What should I do? I"m very very happy with her compliment," Haruka happily said as she looked at where Eureka walked to.
After doing all the dishes and the other houseworks that somehow she was actually acquainted with, she went up to the library. After entering and closing the door, she removed her veil and she heaved a sigh of relief.
"Covering my face all the time is truly too much of a ha.s.sle. It"s a good thing that this place has all its curtains closed and the lights were made not to distract the readers but to actually help them concentrate more on their reading," she then went ahead and searched the dozen bookshelves for something to read.

"What is the meaning of this, your highness?!?!?" Jin complained early that morning.
"I wonder what you are complaining about right now?" Akihiro asked calmly behind his desk.
"You have promised us that you will be thinking deeply about the marriage but you actually didn"t want to think cause you"ve already decided. You really brought that northern woman back here to marry her," Jin answered back.
"I must say general, you"re actually quite bold. Are you questioning the decisions of your king now?"
"That"s not it your highness, but my daughter came back home last night saying that you have chosen the northern girl."
"Kara."
Jin looked at him confused.
"She is not that northern girl, she has her name. And she is also a high ranking official in there, you must not disrespect her in such a way. And..."
Akihiro looked at Jin seriously, "Do you really want to take the throne that much?"
"That is not something I want, your highness. But as a father I just want to see my daughter be happy."
"I see, then your wife must not have wanted to see her daughter be happy. I haven"t seen her in awhile despite your daughter trying to marry herself."
"M-My wife is currently on vacation, your highness."
"Hmmm, then you must have sent her a letter already about your daughter"s marriage."
"I have, your highness. But the place she"s at is quite far from here so it might take sometime before she comes back."
"Jin, I am still the king. My decisions could be over written by half of the officials, is that the reason why you have the guts to confront me right now?"
Jin was about to reply when Akihiro continued speaking, "But allow me to promise this to you, I am doing everything I can to ease all your worries. Just wait a little bit more."
He finished with his sentence full of meaning.

"HARUKA!!"
The book that Haruka was reading flew to the other side when she was startled by the sudden shout. She looked at the door and saw Mutsumi"s shocked face and behind her was Eureka who could only shake her head.
Eureka didn"t expect that Haruka would remove her veil. That"s why when Mutsumi came she just brought her to the library.
"Wh- You-" Mutsumi couldn"t find her words before she fainted.
Eureka was able to catch her, Haruka then rushed up to help her.

"She just fainted due to the shock. Let"s bring her to the sofa for her to rest properly," Eureka said after checking her breathing.
Both of them sat down at the floor after putting Mutsumi in the sofa of the room.
"Have I done something terrible?" Haruka asked as she looked at Mutsumi"s face.
"Please don"t blame yourself for anything. I was careless too, I should have just let her wait at the living room instead of bringing her up here. And they"ll find out about it sooner or later, you don"t have to worry about her knowing it. You may not have wanted to compare the current you to the past you, but she will always be one of your most trusted and closest friends, even without your memory."
"Don"t worry, I can feel that."
"I"ll be informing king Akihiro and sir Yukimura. We shall be heading to the palace once lady Mutsumi wakes up. It"s a good thing that we have a carriage. Please wait for a bit," Eureka said before leaving the room.
She had sent a bird to the palace. It would be faster that way, adding to the fact that she must not leave Haruka alone. Despite the house being in the edge most part of the city, those traitors might still come and harm her.
"I"m sorry. I"m truly sorry," Haruka muttered as she touch Mutsumi"s face.
"Hmmm," just as Eureka returned Mutsumi started waking up.
"Mutsumi?" Haruka asked.
Mutsumi was still disoriented but upon waking up and seeing Haruka"s face she abruptly sat up.
"Please, if you have any questions. Can we have those at the palace? I have sent king Akihiro and sir Yukimura a notice already," Eureka said respectfully before Mutsumi could ask anything.
Mutsumi understanding the reason why stood up and, "Shall we go then."
She then walked out of the room without looking back.
Haruka could only look at Eureka.
"Lady Mutsumi didn"t know that you have lost your memory. So right now she felt betrayed. We can only wait until everything is explained to her, everything will be alright," Eureka a.s.sured her.
