Chapter 439: Come Again? Best To Never Come Again
“No way. You told us that we can feel free to ask you for advice and that there’s no need to be courteous. No matter what, you are also a senior and expert. How can you go back on your words?” Ling Chuxi did not care too much and pinned a high hat on him. The opportunity to spar with such an expert without any danger was a wonderful thing that many people dreamed of. How could this opportunity be missed?
Without waiting for Mo Kongyuan to reject her again, Ling Chuxi formed the Turning Cloud Gesture once more and waved her sword toward Mo Kongyuan. Ling Yichen and Baili Han were naturally not courteous too and each attacked Mo Kongyuan with all their might.
A waterspout rushed up to the skies in the midst of a m.u.f.fled rumble. After that, only half of a stone bridge which had collapsed could be seen. And a little later on, it was the persevering figures of Ling Chuxi and the few of them.
As their figures drifted past, there was another m.u.f.fled rumbling sound behind them and a heap of rubble was left behind.
Mo Kongyuan really felt like crying now. These few fellows were practically being reckless with their lives. They looked like they had even exerted all of their strength. If they continued fighting like this, he would still be fine, it was just that he was afraid that this garden would be utterly sc.r.a.pped.
“No more fighting. No more fighting.” As he saw the few of them who still wanted to step forward, Mo Kongyuan waved his hands and howled at them with an expression of a broken heart and aching head.
“Many thanks senior for enlightening us!” Ling Chuxi knew that Mo Kongyuan would have wanted to kill himself if they continued on like this. As such, she stopped. One should not go too far, and should know when to advance or retreat. That was if this was not considered going too far.
“Hmph.” Mo Kongyuan glared at Ling Chuxi with anger. He would not have brought her here if he had known earlier. He never would have thought that he had accidentally brought a “disaster” back home. This was practically a little star of misfortune!
“Senior, if there is nothing else, we will take our leave first.” Ling Chuxi saw that Mo Kongyuan’s expression was depressed. She hinted to Ling Yichen and the few of them to bid farewell and slip away.
Although they did not exchange blows for long, he was a strong cultivator from another realm after all and could not be mentioned in the same breath as the Great Fulfilment. The few of them had benefited a lot and had a deeper enlightenment regarding the realm of Great Fulfilment too.
“Just leave.” Mo Kongyuan swung his sleeves and he appeared to be in a bad mood. Of course even if it was anybody else, their mood would not be any better either.
“Then we shall leave first. We will come another day to visit, Senior.” Ling Chuxi’s mood was however, very good and said with a happy smile.
The corners of Mo Kongyuan’s lips twitched again. ‘Come again? Best to never come again.’ Mo Kongyuan thought to himself, and he later instructed his servants to say that he was not at home if they were to see Ling Chuxi, this little star of misfortune, coming here again. His house would be completely dismantled by her if he allowed her to come a few more times.
Mo Kongyuan sent Ling Chuxi and the rest of them to the door with much hospitality. His servants who saw this were extremely shocked. When had they ever seen their master treating other people with such warmth? Was this Miss Ling Chuxi so favored by Master? Little did they know that Mo Kongyuan was itching to kick Ling Chuxi out of his doors with his leg. Now that Ling Chuxi was leaving, of course he would eagerly send her off.
They made small talk at the door. Just as Ling Chuxi and the rest were leaving, Mo Kongyuan’s voice sounded again. “Oh right. There’s one more thing. If I’m not mistaken, the frost poison in the body of that young man with a stoic face has not been resolved till today. If you don’t wish to die, it will be better not to cultivate anymore. Otherwise once you reach the moment of breakthrough, even the fairies who come down from the heavens will not be able to save you.” These words were obviously directed at Fu Chengyu.
Ling Chuxi and the rest of them halted their footsteps at the same time.
“Many thanks to Mister Mo for your reminder.” Fu Chengyu turned his head back and thanked him politely. But the expression on his face did not change in the slightest. It was still so calm and composed.
