Chapter 394: Genius? Talent? Prodigy?
However, with Ling Chuxi’s next move, Xiao Tianying was no longer just surprised – he was completely shaken.
Ling Chuxi moved her fingers slightly, forming a gesture. The spiralling Qi which was flying around the sword surprisingly overlapped each other, becoming stronger and stronger.
“Turning Cloud Gesture!” This time, Xiao Tianying no longer doubted it. Ling Chuxi’s finger gesture was too similar, and as he looked at the overlapping Battle Qi, he would not be wrong in guessing that it was the Turning Cloud Gesture of the Xiao Family.
Her figure gesture was not entirely accurate though; Xiao Tianying could see that there were hundreds of mistakes and it was definitely learnt in secret without guidance, but it was this imperfect version of the skill that was condensed to a point and flew out into a spiral that created a strength that even Xiao Tianying found hard to imagine. This Turning Cloud Gesture that had been learnt in secret by Ling Chuxi was already much stronger than the Turning Cloud Gesture of the Xiao Family. Even if Old Master Xiao who had been learning and perfecting the Turning Cloud Gesture for a lifetime was present, he would not dare say that this was the Turning Cloud Gesture of the Xiao Family.
Was she a genius, a talent, or a prodigy? Xiao Tianying had mixed feelings in his heart. The Battle Qi outside his body still had a majestic aura, but his arrogance had dimmed into a deep sense of loss.
The Luo Chen Sword emitted a joyous cry as countless spirals of Qi overlapped each other and spiraled even faster. The surrounding air distorted and created an enormous whirlpool. Even Xiao Tianying’s sand storm swayed unsteadily at the huge gravitational pull of the whirlpool.
“This is…” The old men who were at the highest part of the watching platform stood up again, looking shocked and amazed. This was also the power of the Pinnacle of Great Fulfilment, but it seemed to have exceeded the boundaries of the Great Fulfilment and arrived at another realm. A strong sense of uneasiness surged in their hearts as they thought about it.
Even the old man who had remained composed earlier now looked surprised.
On the watching platform, all the spectators felt an enormous sense of fear. They could not help but step backwards. They dared not even breathe too heavily as they squeezed to the sides of the watching platform.
Finally, Xiao Tianying struck. He waved his sword and created a sword shadow which was like ten thousand horses galloping forward. It left a deep hole in the ring wherever it touched it.
“Break!” Ling Chuxi shouted fearlessly, and the spiral of Qi which was like a whirlpool surged out of the sword.
Boom! There was a thunderous explosion that shocked the heavens and shook the earth, and everyone saw a figure being blown away from the fighting ring. After that, a ball of qi which looked like shooting stars shot to the sky, making the compet.i.tion arena tremble and crack. It flew towards the mountains not far away, towards a popular scenic spot of Ding Lin Country called Watching Sunrise Peak.
There was another ma.s.sive explosion, and the peak of the mountains which could be seen earlier now looked like they had been bitten off by a giant monster. A deep pit was now present at its center, and stones which had been blasted into pieces were rolling down the mountain slope.
An endless buzzing resounded in their ears. Everyone stared at Watching Sunrise Peak with wide eyes. They dared not imagine what the consequences would have been if the ball of qi earlier had exploded in the compet.i.tion arena. Not even a single person might have survived.
He Bufan and Liu Yucheng from Nan Xia Country finally realized something as terror seized their hearts. This was why Xiao Tianying had asked them to forfeit – he knew that even if they had not been defeated by Ling Yichen, they did not even have the slightest chance against Ling Chuxi. They would definitely have died a very pitiful death!
The crowd only regained their senses after a while and looked at the fighting ring hesitantly.
The fighting ring was already split into half at its center. There was only a delicate and beautiful young lady standing in the fighting ring, her sleeves moving with the wind.
