Chapter 614: I Would Recognize You Even If You Turned to Ash
Ling Chuxi had no choice in the matter. Since she had already determined the devilish man’s fighting tactic earlier on to be shrew-like, she dealt with it accordingly and sent him flying with another slap in a simple yet violent move.
Just as the devilish man was about to smash into the ground, two figures appeared in a flash and caught him.
Of these two people, the one taking the lead was a young man that looked about seventeen or eighteen years old. He had a head full of fiery red hair and his eyes were pitch black like gemstones with an oddly wicked charm in their depths, yet he gave off a different kind of majesty.
“Young Master, she hit me. She slapped me across the face. Look, my face is already swelling up because she slapped me,” howled the devilish man, crying so heartbrokenly that his tears resembled pear blossom flowers shedding from a beautiful tree. While he cried, he even gestured once again with his palm facing upwards and his fingers pinched together as he put looked into his mirror and put a hand to his face.
Urgh… Ling Chuxi regretted this badly. She had taken action too lightly. She should have just beaten him up until he was unable to speak. Or perhaps, she should have gone so far as to dislodge his lower jaw.
“Xiao Rou, stop crying,” commanded the lead young man, glaring disdainfully.
Xiao Rou… Ling Chuxi was stunned, and her thoughts turned sluggish. There was yet another Xiao Rou here. Jiang Wuhen’s fiancée’s heroic stance appeared in her mind. Honestly speaking, this Xiao Rou was even gentler than the other Xiao Rou, even though he was a man.
‘Luckily, I am not called Ling Churou!’ Ling Chuxi secretly rejoiced to herself. Otherwise, she would really want to knock herself to death.
“It really hurts though,” replied Xiao Rou coquettishly.
“Then do you want me to help you blow on it?” asked a tanned and large-faced young man who was standing to the side. His mouth was cracked open in a wide silly grin.
“No thanks. Even if I wanted someone to do that, I would pick young master to do so instead,” continued Xiao Rou as he kept acting coquettishly and even a little shy.
Urgh, argh, urgh! Aside from the tanned man and Xiao Rou, everyone was vomiting!
“He has the blood of a demon emperor. It is a pity that it has yet to be awakened,” said Huangfu Qingjue as he looked at Xiao Rou and shook his head. If a demon emperor had been awakened, the cooperative strength of the two of them should be able to temporarily open the core of the array. However, this young man before him obviously did not have such an ability just yet.
“Who are you to actually dare come to Little Silver Ancient Mountain anyway?” asked the young man with fiery hair when he suddenly took a good look at Ling Chuxi and then pointed at her as if he had seen a ghost. “You… Is it actually you?!”
“Do you know me?” asked Ling Chuxi as she looked at the young man with fiery hair in surprise. This was her first time to Little Silver Ancient Mountain, and naturally this was a place that she could not come to even if she wanted to. Furthermore, she had never even seen him before.
Hearing Huangfu Qingjue commenting softly about this young man with fiery hair being a demon king descendent, Ling Chuxi did not dare to be careless. Ten thousand years ago, the demon king was one that even the coordinative efforts of all the top-notch sect experts were unable to control. Even if the fellow standing before her had yet to awaken to his powers, he could be at any time. How strong would he be then? Ling Chuxi was not afraid of trouble when it happened, but she wouldn’t purposely go seeking trouble for herself out of boredom.
“Not only do I know you, but I know you well,” the young man with fiery hair said through gritted teeth.
“Perhaps you are mistaking me for someone else?” Ling Chuxi could see the hatred in the eyes of the young man with fiery hair and her mind took a turn. Besides the young man’s fiery red hair which did seem a little familiar, there was really no other impression of him in her memory.
“Even if you were turned to ashes, I would still recognize you!” the young man with fiery hair said hatefully. ‘You wanted to eat me. Daring to even touch me inappropriately, take advantage of me and pinch my b.u.t.t. How dare you say I could have recognized the wrong person!’
“You must have gotten the wrong person because I have never seen you before,” said Ling Chuxi affirmatively after she thought about it.
“You have done such things and yet you actually dare to say that you don’t recognize me. How dare you!” The young man with fiery hair became angrier the more he thought about it, and the more he thought about it, the more aggrieved he felt. Though he spoke aggressively while pointing accusingly at Ling Chuxi, these matters were still too embarra.s.sing to say aloud.
A descendent of the dignified bloodline of a demon king and the future emperor of all the various monster beast clans had actually been a.s.saulted so unjustly by a human. How could such a thing be spoken about aloud without some embarra.s.sment?
