The dinner continued in a cheerful atmosphere mostly with Sia and Alex talking and Will asking questions to Sia from time to time. Even though Sia looked all cheerful on the outside, she was almost having a mental breakdown on the inside."How do I even bring up the topic of having a boyfriend? And, anyways, is it even necessary? I mean, he isn"t doing anything weird or wrong, is he? I can feel his intense stares but won"t it be weird if I just told him to stop looking at me like he wanted me? What if he just refuses and says that I am imagining the non-existent?"
"It"s actually my first time here in Ribekia, and I am pretty sure Alex"s too. Do you think you could find time to show us around?"
Will asked hopefully, breaking Sia"s panicked train of thoughts.
"How am I supposed to refuse those puppy eyes? G.o.d, Cain is gonna kill me."
"Sure! And I will finally be completely out of debt," Sia answered with a low chuckle.
"What debt?" Alex and Will asked quizzically at the same time.
"The debt of you touring me around in Veturia," Sia said dismissively as if stating a fact.
"So, you wouldn"t show us around if we haven"t done that for you before?" Alex couldn"t help but ask.
"Hmm, who knows?" she answered and then started laughing at Alex"s flabbergasted expression.
"You are quite the businesswoman, aren"t you?" Will asked with a chuckle of his own.
She surely knew how to always answer in her own original ways. Her answers would have sounded weird and even rude if said by others, but coming from her they sounded nothing but childish or funny remarks. Will actually considered himself lucky to be the one to discover the gem in the form of Sia. She was unique in her own way and she had her ways of making the people around her fall for her uniqueness. Deciding to take a step ahead towards their relationship he asked,
"So, when will be convenient for you?"
Sia had to think about her answer. She knew that Cain was coming this weekend, but he hadn"t told her anything about his arrival time however much she had pestered him. It seemed he wasn"t coming today, as he would need to let her know in advance so that she could inform the guards to first let him in the building and then the receptionist to let him come to her door. She was actually really happy with her condominium. When she had bought it, it wasn"t as well secured as it was now, but it was in the process of renovation so it was now a very well-secured place.
"Sia?"
Will asked worriedly, noticing that she took quite the while to think of an answer. Was he pushing her as hard as Alex was claiming him to? But he hadn"t said anything too forceful.
"If it is inconvenient we will find ways to manage, you..."
He didn"t manage to finish when Sia interrupted him,
"No, no, I am so sorry I just drifted off thinking of something," she laughed a bit awkwardly.
"Can you remind me again, how long you guys are staying here?"
Will"s mood dampened when he thought tat she was trying to decline his request. But it was not like he could do much. What he could do though was to act a bit more shameless and find other ways to meet her. After all, in love all the means were justified.
So, with a quiet voice that didn"t do well at hiding his disappointment he answered,
"It depends on how the talks go. But it should be 7 to 10 days."
"Hmm, okay. Let me see: I can"t do tomorrow. I am usually working until 6-8pm depending on how long the surgeries take. So what we could do is to go around the night city on Monday if that works with the two of you?"
Will"s mood improved a lot when thinking of her agreement, but somehow her being busy the whole Sunday didn"t sit well with him. Deciding to ignore the irking feeling, he answered with a smile,
"It works for me," turning to Alex he asked, "What about you?"
Alex, who was quietly observing the interaction between the two all this while, snapped out of his trance once he heard his name.
"Me? What me?" he asked confused, then processing the words he quickly continued, "I mean, yeah, of course that works for me. I don"t have much to do anyways."
He finished and suddenly felt a shiver running through his spine. He turned towards the source to see Will looking darkly at him. He knitted his brows and soundlessly mouthed to Will,
"Not alone time yet."
"Okay perfect then! I will send the details to Alex and then you can leave the touring to me!" Sia said gleefully.
"Now the only thing that remains is to make sure the King is not jealous."
After they were done cleaning the dinner table, she offered them to have some tea, and the two readily agreed.
They sat on the sofas near the coffee table and continued their chat.
Not being able to stand the irking feeling anymore, Will suddenly asked,
"So, are you working all day tomorrow?"
He thought that the question didn"t sound too weird and not too inconvenient. He just inquired about her work: nothing more, nothing less.
Sia actually fell into a dilemma upon his question: this was a chance to tell him that she had a boyfriend but she was still not sure whether it was the right thing to do or not. After all, as Cain had already admitted, he always became overly hot-blooded whenever the topic touched her. Even though she trusted Will and Alex, disclosing about Cain being in a relationship could somehow spread and revoke all his previous efforts for the emperor selection.
Finally coming up with a safe answer she was about to talk when her doorbell rang.
She furrowed her brows and couldn"t help but feel perplexed,
"This is weird," she said not realising she spoke up her thoughts.
"What is?" both men asked in sync.
"Were you not waiting for someone?" asked Will.
"Even if I was expecting someone, I would get notified by the front desk. I guess this is just the Complex service. I will go open the door."
"We will come with you just in case," Alex said thoughtfully to which Will nodded willingly.
"Sure," she said and walked to the door with the two men following from behind.
She looked at the door camera monitor and couldn"t help but feel stunned.
Gulping down her own saliva she opened the door slowly. Two men came into the view: one a blonde and the other...
The other was a black-haired man that was of tall built and lean figure. He was wearing a formal three-piece black suit with blue sapphire cufflinks and dark blue designs on his suit pockets. It was paired with a dark blue shirt that complemented his blue eyes ideally. A slight smile was plastered on his face making his look even more ethereal than it already was.
"How can he be so handsome?" Sia was still in a trance when suddenly the man spoke in his deep, husky voice,
"Love, stop drooling and let us in."
Sia nodded absentmindedly and tried to walk to the side when the man suddenly pulled her closer by the waist and, after kissing her on the lips, said slyly,
"Sorry, you were looking too cute so I couldn"t help myself."
Embracing her tighter and inhaling her intoxicating smell, Cain continued, this time whispering in her ear,
"Did you miss me a lot, Queenie? Because I did."
Sia"s body turned completely wobbly when he suddenly bit her earlobe, imitating what she had done to him the last time. With him playing with her erogenous zone, all she could do was hug him back and hide her red face in his warm and secure embrace.
After he was done teasing her, Cain broke their hug reluctantly, though still holding her waist with one of his hands. With his other hand he picked the huge bouquet of red roses from Arthur"s hands and handed it to her.
It seemed that the two flabbergasted men, who had practically turned into statues because of the events unfolding in front of them, were completely forgotten by the couple.
