As the boss battle finally reaches its conclusion, Gray Allister is now eyeing at the crystal remains of the Were-Rabbit, ready to reap the rewards of the Quest.Approaching the crystal, Gray commences looting it, seeing the list of items present on the text box that came into existence.
X2,000 X6 X1 X1 X6 X1Gray nodded in great satisfaction as he instantly transferred all of the items in his inventory. Although he could not help but wonder as to what the Codex is, seeing as he did not remember it being included in the game development.
But before that, Gray decided to do something first about his low health of his, seeing that 6 Minor Health Potions were among the rewards. With each potion granting 200 Health points, Gray instantly drank 3 of it, restoring his Health by 600 points.
Going back to the matter about the codex...
If his memory did not fail him, that"s the game terminology most commonly used in single-player RPG games like Dragon Age, and Ma.s.s Effect.
Simply put, it"s some sort of encyclopedia of the game itself.
Codex entries give details about the game mechanics, tutorial, the lore of the game"s world, information about the characters you meet, the creatures of the world, items, and a whole lot more.
Curiosity getting the better of him, Gray opens his Inventory as he finds the item that piqued his interest.
(G.o.dly Item)
Item description:
A Lore Book detailing a collection of information about the entirety of Silverhart itself. The book"s contents itself starts empty, but will gradually update itself in the course of your adventure as you gain the necessary knowledge along the way.
After reading the item"s description, a new icon showing a book suddenly emerges next to the other 5 icons on the upper-right corner of his sight, indicating a new system option open for the Elf to explore.
Along with the CHARACTER, INVENTORY, MAP, SKILLS, and JOURNAL, the sixth icon now reveals itself to be the CODEX.
Excited about this brand new feature, the Elf could not contain his enthusiasm as he immediately clicks the new icon, showing him the contents. Peering inside, the first thing that Gray notices is that the information is categorized just as how he remembers from the other games.
The categories are namely: BESTIARY, ITEMS, MAGIC & SPELLS, LORE, BOOKS & NOTES, CHARACTERS, and MECHANISM.
"Bestiary," Gray mutters under his breath as he clicks the said category. If what the item description of the codex stated is true, then most likely the information of the Were-Rabbit that he defeated is now included in the Codex for the reading.
Indeed, Gray"s expectations did not fail him as a detailed and colored picture of the said creature is in the list, included among the other creatures that are currently unknown, most likely the ones that he has yet to be discovered.
Clicking the picture, the information of the Beast is instantly revealed, even going so far as to describe its lore, origins, weakness, combat style, and other vital information.

Lycanthropy cursing without impunity,
Even the harmless rabbits, proclaims no immunity."
-A short poem from the Book of Bardic Legends, page 21, paragraph 3.
[Silverhartian legends spoke tales of a powerful beast capable of high speed, even more so than their wolven counterparts. When a rabbit receives the curse of Lycanthropy, it first becomes all violent and rabid, being simply known as a simple Rabid Rabbit. After 3 days of Lycanthropic progress, the rabbit finally a.s.sumes into a huge and terrifying creature that is renowned for slaying countless adventurers who are careless enough in their endeavors.]
[Their sharp claws are their primary deadly weapons, sinking into the bodies of those who are unfortunate enough to encounter them. Their most notable feature is their unbelievable agility, capable of completely outmaneuvering their chosen prey. It is said that fatally injuring the Beast enrages them in a spark of unholy power, allowing faster speed than before while shrugging even the toughest of blows as blade and arrow bounces off its thick hide.]
[The curse of Lycanthropy from a Were-Rabbit can easily be pa.s.sed from one rabbit to another. As such, it is of utmost imperative that you take down the beast before the disease spreads widely to other rabbits. As per advice from a Master Witch Hunter, always prepare Fire and Silver-based Weaponry if one truly hopes to best them surely in brutal combat.]
Now finished with his reading, Gray"s eyes widen with surprise as he did not realize that all along, he has been murdering rabbits who are on their way on turning into their Big Lycan Boss.
Because of this, the Elf sighed in total relief, acknowledging that the threat of Lycanthropy has now been averted even if he was initially unaware of it.
Closing the CODEX, Gray decided that he"ll study more of the contents later, seeing that he is still in the middle of the forest.
Gray brought out his inventory again, reading the description of his latest equipment with the intent of equipping it.

"Wow, this robe sure is powerful for a low-level gear." Gray was a little awe-struck at seeing the Enchantment of the equipment.
Without any second thought, Gray quickly equips his two new equipment from his inventory.
Now donning a new look, Gray is now seen to be clad in a blue robe with white fur trim. The robe also accompanies with a brown belt that sports 3 small leather satchels for storing small items, two on the front on each side and one on the back.
"Huh, now I truly look like a wandering mage," Gray said with pride as he marvels at the new outfit that he wears.
Rubbing his chin, the Elf now ponders as to what he should be doing next, now that the fiasco with the Were-Rabbit is over at last.
He first thought of leveling up. So he spends 2 points in Intelligence, a point in Willpower and the rest for reserve just in case.
The fight with the Were-Rabbit in truth taught him a valuable lesson. One must be equipped for any kind of situation that comes at hand or he won"t be so lucky next time. Because of this, Gray ultimately decided that when he levels up, he"ll only spend 3 attribute points out of the 5, resolving to set aside the remaining points in the instance of emergencies where he requires a quick boost of whatever attribute that demands in a certain scenario.
He also spends his Ability point on unlocking , which lessens his Mana issues.Having finished with all of his commissions, Gray eventually made his decision of first moving out of this forest, taking to wherever fate deems him to be.
And with that, Gray Allister"s journey to the entire fantasy realm of Silverhart officially begins anew, his face filled with utmost antic.i.p.ation of what this magical world has in store for him.
