My arms ached as I stared up at the ceiling. The whole night I was busy trying to get Baron to stop touching me. In between us was a divider that I had formed out of pillows. I sighed. I peeked over the pillows. Baron was sound asleep. He looked like a Greek G.o.d.

Mila you have to get your head in the game! Stop daydreaming! This is your new life. The best course of action is for me to find out as much as I can about my current predicament. Based on Baron"s words earlier it can be said that I"m not officially his wife.

So far I don"t know how I"ve come to know him. Where I am. What time period I"m occupying. As well as my position in history.

Based on the att.i.tude and clothing of Baron he was surely a pirate. Pirates occupied the seas mostly during the 16th century. s.h.i.+t! I"ve went almost four hundred years into the past? I sat up from the bed.

The nightgown which I wore was in a corset style. Yup. I am now sure as h.e.l.l that I"m in the 16th century. One question answered. Now I have to understand my predicament. I slowly and quietly tiptoed across the room. I looked back. Baron was still sound asleep. I took his coat from the floor and wore it along with his hat and boots. Using a ribbon I tied my long brown hair back in a ponytail.

I closed the bedroom door behind me lightly as I walked down the hallway. The ground tilted as the water below moved. It looks like I actually am on a s.h.i.+p. But how do I get to the deck?

Towards the end of the corridor I reached a wooden stairway which led to a door. I turned the k.n.o.b only for it to be locked. Of course. s.h.i.+t wasn"t going to be easy for an unlucky girl like me. I dug in to the coat pocket.

Bingo!

It took me 20 minutes to go through all of the keys on the chain to open the door. Once I did, I was faced with an unforgettable sight.

The deck was empty. I walked towards the front of the s.h.i.+p and breathed in the salty air. The sun above was s.h.i.+ning with clear blue skies. It"s been a long time since I"ve felt at ease. I looked over the railing. The water was calm with slight waves cras.h.i.+ng against the s.h.i.+p. Now that I look at it the s.h.i.+p looks almost identical to the cruise that I sunk in. Was this all really a coincidence?

There was no land in sight. I groaned. I hated being at sea. Ever since my childhood I hated going to the beach with my family. I held my aching heart. It"s better to focus on my current life. I need to get information about how I"ve come to meet Baron. I turned to walk back-

"Ah f.u.c.k."

"Could you please stop cursing and act more like a lady my wife?"

Speak of the devil. He was only wearing a white blouse and black pants along with a pair of knee high boots. I walked past him towards the door to the bottom of the s.h.i.+p. Baron pulled my arm back. I stopped walking and faced him with a scowl.

"What do you want Baron?"

He smiled as he answered.

"I would like my wife to give me some attention."

"Stop calling me your wife. We aren"t even married. Actually we"re not even dating for G.o.d"s sake."

Baron tilted his head in confusion when I mentioned dating. I sighed. I guess that my 21st century vocabulary isn"t really going to help me in this situation.

"Even if we aren"t married you will become my wife."

"How can you be so certain?"

Baron leaned in and circled his arm around my waist as he whispered.

"Because your body is already mine."

"Ugh."

I pushed him away.

"Baron we are both consenting adults. What we did that night was something on a whim. Don"t take it too seriously. After all I think nothing of you. So could you please explain to me why I"m on your s.h.i.+p and why my men are being held captive by you?"

Baron snickered.

"First of all Mila, I will take our first night together seriously as I have enjoyed it and I believe that you have as well. Second, by capturing your men I can use them as leverage in order to keep you by my side."

"Well then kill them all and release me."

Baron looked at me in shock. As I said those words I inwardly hoped that he wouldn"t take me seriously. The men were innocent after all. But that statement serves me the purpose of appearing ruthless and emotionless. This is the only way that I can get him to stop clinging to me.

I looked over and scowled. Why was the b.a.s.t.a.r.d blus.h.i.+ng?

"Oh my dear Mila you are way better than I"ve initially thought. You truly are worthy of becoming the wife of a Pirate king."

f.u.c.k me. This man was actually a pirate. But wait, don"t pirate"s usually have bounties out for their head? He also stated that he was the pirate king. My pupils became money symbols as I looked at him. But alas this isn"t the modern times with phones or the internet. So how would I report him?

I looked up from my thinking only to jump back. Why was Baron"s face so close to mine? He looked down at my corset. I tilted my head in confusion as he smiled.

"Looking good wife. But don"t you feel shame that you are wearing a man"s clothes?"

Ugh, the old time s.e.xism. G.o.d being a woman during this time is quite the pain in the a.s.s.

"Why can"t I? Aren"t I as capable to pull off the look as you do?"

Baron burst into laughter before looking back at me.

"Oh my wife is quite the strong woman."

I walked up to Baron and held his neckline as I leaned in. I then spoke in a threatening voice.

"Take me to see my men and release them now. If you do I will keep up with your wife charade until we come across land. After that I will leave you and never see you again. Do you understand?"

Baron looked into my eyes with his emerald ones challenging me.

"My dear Mila, what if I choose to not comply with your request?"

I put the barrel of the silver gun on his forehead and snickered. His coat was quite the treasure.

"Then I"ll blast your motherf.u.c.king brains out."

Baron smiled as he held the barrel of the gun.

"Then do it. Dying by your beautiful hands would be an honor. But are you willing to handle the consequences?"

Suddenly I felt the tips of several swords place themselves around my waist. I looked up only to see about ten men point their swords at me. I smiled and retracted the gun. I then placed it on the deck and raised my hands.

"You win this one you f.u.c.king b.a.s.t.a.r.d."

Baron laughed then touched his lips to my cheek.

"You"re quite brazen my dear but I like it."

The second I get myself out of this situation I swear that I"m going to slap that smirk off his beautiful face.
