...The first opening was an important event, particularly because it determined ones future cultivation path. Many warriors did countless hours of research and searched for areas with the most ideal locations for a breakthrough. Some even had so many resources they had access to places where world energy was so dense it liquefied.
Since one"s first opening decided their future path, it was crucial. Will had used his first opening to comprehend not an ability, not a technique, but an intent, and from one of the five const.i.tutional base elements at that! Such an achievement was absurd. This had without a doubt meant that Will"s path along the Dao of water would be smooth sailing if he trained hard enough. Little did Adelda know that Will did far more than just understanding a bit about water intent...
At some point, Will had opened his eyes and had walked out of the water. His eyes were shining with incredible vigor and his entire temperament had changed. Aside from the obvious bruises, nothing had physically changed about the young man, but Adelda being in his presence felt as if he was a completely different person. That"s when Will shocked Adelda to the point where she almost lost her soul.
"Come out, I know you are there."
Adelda recovered from her initial surprise. She maintained her invisibility and refused to believe Will could sense her presence. It wasn"t until he faced her, that she realized that she was truly seen through.
As Adelda"s form became truly visible to Will, she couldn"t help but ask: "How? How could you notice my presence?"
"How do you maintain that fine a.s.s?" replied Will as he instantly dried his body.
"I am serious!" said Adelda in a commanding tone. Will merely sat down cross-legged and put on a serious expression on his face, as if he had been offended.
"So? Does it look like I am not?"
This time it was Adelda"s turn to frown. Will shook his head and brought out food from his storage ring.
"Adelda, you might not understand, but to me, booty is... yams are...a.s.s is... it is everything!" As Will spoke, he had a look of melancholy, as if he had spoken words that even a sage would find profound. Then, he started eating as his life depended on it.
"Something tells me he is not joking. I don"t understand. How could someone so foul, so foolish, achieve so much? The heavens are truly unfair."
Adelda would have been surprised to know what Will had been thinking at that time.
The heavens are truly unfair. How can a woman handle such a big a.s.s and have such a skinny waist at the same time? d.a.m.n! I need to get stronger before anyone else taps that!
The duo was like parallel lines, they were headed in the same direction but their thoughts would never touch, quite the irony indeed. When Will felt somewhat satiated, he slowed down his eating.
"So, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?"
"Ahem, you have completed phase 1 of your training, so Lord Modus has decided to send you back home."
When Will heard he was heading home, he was both elated and unhappy. He missed his family and he missed many things from the earth. They were simple things, like the Internet, popcorn, waterbeds, soccer, the list went on!
But he was also feeling sad because he felt that his grinding had come to an abrupt halt, Will felt that if he trained for a bit longer, he would be able to achieve something. Yet he was unsure of what that something was.
"Cool. When do I leave?"
"Actually, you must first undergo a test before you can leave..."
"Oho? What kind of test?"
"You have to defeat the boss for this floor. This portal will take you to the entrance of his lair."
Next to Adelda, a blue portal suddenly materialized.
"Alrighty!" Will stood up and dusted himself. He immediately took off his tattered clothes and wore a new pair of robes. He completely ignored Adelda"s presence because, in his mind, she was already his woman, so there was no need to be shy.
Adelda herself also did not react much because, to an immortal like her, a mortal such as Will, albeit different and somewhat capable, the king of monkeys would still remain a monkey.
"King Yama"s Gate is not a dungeon that can be cla.s.sified under normal means. Each floor is divided into sectors, and each sector can have a boss. The floor boss is the strongest creature on the floor and one has to normally beat all sector bosses to be able to challenge him, but Lord Modus is making an exception for you, so feel hon-"
Before she could even finish her explanation, Will jumped into the portal without hesitation. Adelda"s face lit up like a fire in the middle of the night. After a few seconds she managed to regain her composure, and a slick smile revealed itself on her face.
Foul imbecile! Let"s see how long you can keep up this charade! When you see who your opponent is you will wish you were polite to me!
...
After a second or two, Will found himself in a dark tunnel-like cave, behind him was a wall, so the only way to go was forward.
"d.a.m.n! That was close! If I had seen any more of that a.s.s I would have gone crazy! Those hips, them thighs... s.h.i.t! Focus Will!"
Will placed his sword in its scabbard and slapped his face in order to get himself to focus. He started moving forward, unsure of what lied ahead, but confident in his ability!
