Sorceress

Chapter 72

I sent a slave with a small boat over to the other side of the chasm. If it was successful likely we could cross that way.

The boat equipped with a sanctuary barrier made it nearly impossible to detect for monsters.

But, it also had one flaw.

It wasn"t truly invisible.

If it met some creature intelligent enough the camouflage would not be enough.

Also, I placed inside it a small aura simulator to make it look like the boat was full and not just one person.

After all, If the creature was cunning enough to see through the boat, I needed a lab rat to test out if it was gutsy enough to attack a full boat.

Also, I gave the girl two things. One was a communication device -which she would use until she reached the other side.

The purpose fairly simple it would tell us what she would see and experience.

If we ever lost her communication, depending on when it could indicate either interferences and sabotage or to formulate it more plainly it had failed.

I was fairly confident that she would reach but I still had a gut feeling that something had been observing us.

Pinching the s.p.a.ce between my brow as I felt my thoughts.

If I was right even if she crossed the enemy was waiting and would be even more cunning than what we had given it credit for.

After all, It supposed to be an old monster. But, because of the bridge before no one had seen it in a few hundreds of years.

Enemies that you could not gather information on where truly the worse.

While he felt like his every move was being seen over by it.

"Sir Arkalat" a shimmering voice spoke softly.

Turning his gaze toward the source he looked at the girl.

Demona, the girl name fitted more than rightly to this girl.

Her heritage could not fully be hidden in the way she spoke or the way she moved.

Over time this girl had lost the reservation and fear she had of him at least it what she seemed to make him believe.

"May I give you some pieces of advice?" She continued to chimer with a devilish smile on her lips.

"What"s on your mind?" While I wondered what was this about, she looks around and said.

"It"s not convenient here to many ears and eyes."

That smile that hangs on her lips and the cunning in her eyes made me curious of what this girl wanted to say, but if it was bull, she would know what suffering would be.

POV --Demon-

I had the jitters inside. I had met another seer here of all places and we had, had the same vision. A total annihilation of our group.

Neither of us wanted to speak first, but I had gone to see her and had dragged her discreetly to a remote corner of the camp where no water could be seen and had used pen and rune"s to talk.

The enemy was this strong.

Water was it, spy.

Are every move could be seen and felt by it if the water was disturbed by it.

When I had dragged her to the place I gave a bogus reason but that same reason could be well true…

We came up with one possible route.

The lost would be still heavy but the one we wanted to save would be safe…

But we wondered if she would still hate us… not to be able to save everyone.

"General Arkalat sir. I am a seer as you know this is rare and sometimes vision isn"t accurate but will still be close enough to the destined future."

I studied his expression if he did not listen to the plan would not work but we had seen the route so he will likely agree.

Seeing n.o.b once with that poker serious face with eyes stare that could drill a hole in a platinum alloy wall. I told him, what we had seen, our plan but in the shape of runes.

Doing this only once we had entered the same s.p.a.ce as before.

Chie had remained there and I could see his astonishment, at what we had revealed.

He then fell into deeper thoughts.

The air had turned grim and his face grimmer.
