Back in Northern Ranatelia, within a small rundown village, a middle-aged woman stepped about a ruined meadow of flowers and herbs. While the drizzle settled upon the decayed leaf-covered yard, the woman halted reviving a dormant feeling piled beneath six years of memory."These dwellings gained a life six years ago, but now it rests again until that life awakes," she muttered, staring towards a young unconscious boy lying upon a bed surrounded by his friends.
"Wake up, Rais."
Since his demise, another half a month had pa.s.sed; however, Rais still showed no indication of waking up. Nevertheless, time flowed, once again the evening descended while Rais"s friends departed in a dejected manner. However, someone remained, adorned in a lavender dress.
Hugging her knees while placing her head upon it, Dinna quietly leaned beside Rais. However, feeling a slight tinge, Dinna stared at her palm to discover part of a intricate rune carving.
From what she discerned, similar rune markings began forming on Rais"s friends shortly after Rais fell unconscious. Now, seeing it on herself, she became concerned, thinking that Rais might be trying to express something.
However, suddenly hearing cracks of locking fingers, she abandoned her thought, lifting her dusky eyes. While her eyes raised so did Rais"s hand, tightly clutching on to the air, while blood and jade green aura escaped him. Feeling nervous, Dinna immediately called Anila.
Hearing Dinna"s loud clamor, drifting drizzles quickly gathered inside the cottage. From this water, a figure of Anila emerged, glimpsing towards Rais to recognize the eerie yet familiar execution. Despite this, she turned towards the yard, foreseeing an entrance; thus, Immediately a majestic shadow hawk descended on the yard.
Behind Anila and Dinna, after placing his hand down, Rais felt calming warmth on his back as he regained his consciousness. Loosening his eyes from the long slumber, he sensed a dense solid surface against his hands and laying back. Staring up, slowly absorbing the information in, he became bewildered by the marvelous spectacle. The place absent of any sounds, thus only eerie silence of death and emptiness accompanied him.
Even though he awoke his eyes after so long, the soft uniform light failed to affect them. His vision remained crystal clear, without a slight haziness. He gazed upward to witness the ma.s.sive cylindrical structure reaching an unprecedented height. Moreover, baffled by the notion that he could perceive so far into the distance.
After much effort, unable to budge his body, Rais kept gazing upward into the wonders of the structure, without blinking. From the heart caressing warmth, Rais felt a tender sensation crawling of every node of his body, craving more of this feeling. Abiding his yearning, Rais felt the place hearty embracing him, placing a desired pressure on his chest, offering a touch of familiarity while making him forget where he lays.
Extremely far apart from the floor; though, just a quarter way up the unusual structure, Rais marked two ma.s.sive vortexes expanding, trying to merge to fade away together. However, a gray spheroid shadow enveloping them prevented them from doing so; thus endlessly repeating the process, while a fast-moving silvery wheel spun between the dark and light vortex, separating them.
Although the aura released from the vortexes felt familiar, Rais failed to recall from whom or when. Aching to reach them, Rais glanced back up again, to somehow to hover just outside the shadow. However, when he tried to reach through it, the delicate aura within the tower carried him to the jade translucent wall.
On every surface of the inner wall, Rais noticed unknown runes, symbols, and arrays flawlessly carved out. Glanced over them, Rais noticed every runes and symbol appeared unique; however, when he peered into the translucent wall, he saw every unique rune endlessly repeating within, as if the wall stretched forever. When he took his eyes off the wall, for some reason, he failed to recall even a small part of a rune.
For the first time, when Rais stared down; he grew astonished, becoming quite curious to explore the place. Even though his unresponsive body rested at the bottom, he could still step vertically up the wall. Sticking to the wall, he gazed to the opposite side to discern the s.p.a.cious width of the structure. Although minuscule compared to its height, towns can still fit in without any problem.

With an adventurous spirit, Rais went past the two vortexes; when he soared higher, it felt as if he swam through a light warm liquid. The warmth felt like sun rays during a wintery morning or a caressing touch of someone very close to one"s heart.
While gently floating up, he decided to reach the top of the ma.s.sive structure; just this thought alone prompted him to appear at the top immediately.
Hovering above the towering cylindrical structure, he stood on a floating platform. At its base, stairways connected the floating platform to the roof of the circular tower. When compared to the boundless s.p.a.ce around him, Rais"s figure appeared tiny and negligible.
