As the two sat in the car, it didn"t take them long before they stopped at the entrance of a district. It was a small, quiet district with a nice and cozy environment. After walking just a few steps into the district, they chanced upon a housewife walking towards them. The moment she saw the Grandpa Gan, she immediately ran towards them."Doctor Gan, you"re finally here! My grandmother/mother in law (they both have a same term for calling them so we"ll see in the future) has been waiting for you…" the housewife carefully sentenced.
This lady looked to be a littler over her thirties, her appearance was very messy and the clothes she wore were loose and simple. After she got closer, a smell of oil and smoke practically attacked their noses. She probably frequently went into the kitchen.
"Let"s go." Grandpa Gan gave her a look and shook his head, his expression strange.
Jing Yun Zhao still didn"t have a clear sense of the situation so she naturally didn"t speak up. Meanwhile, the housewife noticed her and was momentarily spellbound when she asked, "Is this you granddaughter?"
The old man nodded.
The lady quickly laughed, "She"s really pretty, and to know to accompany you on a house call at such a young age, she"ll definitely become a miracle doctor in the future!"
The lady"s words weren"t to flatter her, and Jing Yun Zhao who heard it also didn"t feel any joy upon hearing it, only nodding in thanks. They then followed her to her home.
The moment they stepped inside, they saw an old house. The area wasn"t large and the building wasn"t old-fashioned, just that the layout was a little cramped. The things inside were also quite aged, giving off a very thick messy smell. There would"ve been good air circulation within the house, if it weren"t for the fact that all the windows were tightly sealed, even the curtains were pulled over them. All this made the room feel even more eerie. Once one went in, they"d feel greatly unsettled.
"Mother! Doctor Gan is here…" The lady carefully opened the door to the room as she called out softly.
Jing Yun Zhao slightly tilted her ears to listen, thinking that the person inside was probably their patient, but what did Grandpa Gan mean by what he said before?
"Do you want to scare me to death?! You don"t know any common etiquette at all, don"t you know to knock on my door before you come in? With your voice so loud, do you want me to have an early death?" All of a sudden, an old but sharp voice rang out, giving Jing Yun Zhao a scare.
On the other hand however, there was Old Man Gan who was pretty much jaded. The only visible reaction was his pinched eyebrows.
The sound was like the screeching and buzzing of an electric drill, ear piercing and unbearable. It even came from the mouth of the old lady, the elderly"s commanding tone making it even worse.
To be fair, the house wife"s movements before were very gentle and swift, her voice soft and silky. No one knew why the old lady would say that her voice was loud.
Following the bellowing voice, the pale housewife stood by the door, but barely a few minutes had pa.s.sed before an all-knowing and trembling voice travelled out. The screeching continued, "You"re still not coming over to help me dress? What do I still need you for then?!"
The lady"s body trembled violently before she rushed frantically into the room to help out.
"Be more gentle! So clumsy…"

"This piece of clothing is so ugly, do you want me to lose face in front of guests?!"
"I"ve never seen someone as stupid as you; You can"t do ch.o.r.es properly, can"t give birth, only knowing how to find trouble for my son every day. If we were back in the historical times, your life would"ve long been disgraced! (TL/N: In the sense that she would"ve been divorced and thus disgraced)
...
For the next 10 to 20 minutes, Jing Yun Zhao"s ears had never a moment of peace.
She couldn"t help but pity this woman. Even though her dressing was a bit poor, her behaviour and everything else was really not bad. Why did she gave to suffer such misgivings after marrying into this family?
Having been reborn once, she would often reminiscence back to her good-for-nothing self and think that she was wasting her life away. Unfortunately, she was still young back then so it was difficult for her to resist. This woman though, was different. She was suffering such a large grievance, yet she still wanted to still waste her life away in this family? Could she actually tolerate the insults and bullying?
