Do They Treat You Well
Xiang Jin lived in Ning city for over 20 years, allowing her to be familiar with the area. Therefore, she brought Jing Yun Zhao to a famous restaurant with a quiet and elegant atmosphere which made it quite romantic.
“Yun Zhao, have you ever considered studying here? With our company’s development getting better and better, if you’re here at Ning City then it would be easier to discuss the future development of the company. Furthermore, the education you can get at Ning City is way more advanced compared to Hua Ning County. Additionally, you don’t have any loved ones living in Hua Ning County….” Xiang Jin advised with good intentions.
Jing Yun Zhao lightly chuckled, “Having you guys here at Ning City is already enough. If something really important happens, you can just call, so it’s fine.”
Moving to Ning City was definitely a good idea, but she had people in Hua Ning County who she can’t abandon.
Grandpa Gan, Old Man Xu, Xiao Hai Qing, and Su Chu, getting to know them was the best thing that ever happened to her in this life. As for her grades, she wasn’t worried about them.
While a suitable studying environment was important, ultimately a person’s personality matters the most. She believed that she could get good results no matter what type of environment she studied in, or else wouldn’t that mean she was reborn for nothing?
“Oh yeah! Your school starts the day after tomorrow, right? Why would you come to Ning City at a time like this?” Xiang Jin asked confusingly after taking a sip of tea.
She and Bai Yu An would regularly go back to Hua Ning County and give a report to Jing Yun Zhao, so there was no need to worry about the company.
If she came here just to play, she should’ve come earlier, so she could stay in Ning City for a few more days.
“I met an aunty who claimed to be my biological mother when I was shopping with my friend yesterday, so we came to Ning City to do a paternity test.” Jing Yun Zhao softly said.
Thinking back to the event that happened earlier that day, her heart felt heavy.
Fortunately, she experienced these kinds of things countless times when she was with the Qiao Family. Besides, it didn’t matter to her whether they were her biological parents or strangers. These types of events no longer affected her.
After hearing this from Jing Yun Zhao, Xiang Jin was shocked!
Paternity test?
When she first got to know Jing Yun Zhao, all she had by her side was Grandfather Gan, and he did not tell her about Jing Yun Zhao’s family problems. However, she did ask Bai Yu An about it. Only then did she know that Jing Yun Zhao’s adoptive parents were very selfish people, letting Jing Yun Zhao suffer through so much hards.h.i.+p…
With that in mind, she would avoid talking about family matters whenever she met Jing Yun Zhao.
“What type of people are they? Do they treat you well?” Xiang Jin asked worriedly.
Although they hadn’t been friends for long, she was extremely grateful towards Jing Yun Zhao.
If it wasn’t for her, she wouldn’t have ever been able to contact Old Man Tang. Without him, she likely wouldn’t have been able to divorce and would have had her entire life ruined. She treated Jing Yun Zhao with respect and compa.s.sion. Even though she was her boss, Xiang Jin couldn’t help but treat her as a relative, maybe even as her daughter.
If they were to discuss their age, she and Bai Yu An were older than Jing Yun Zhao by 16 to 17 years, so treating Jing Yun Zhao as their daughter was not outrageous. The only problem was that Jing Yun Zhao’s personality was stable and mature, causing them to forget that Jing Yun Zhao was younger than them.
Jing Yun Zhao stirred the drink in her hand while waiting for the waiter serving the food to leave first, only then did she say, “We just met yesterday, I can’t tell if they have good intentions or not, but I’m a very simple person. You respect me, and I’ll respect you, but if we can’t get along together, then I can only retaliate.”
After Xiang Jin heard this, she nodded her head. Jing Yun Zhao’s personality was always like this.
A person with Jing Yun Zhao’s personality would not suffer losses. Even if they were her biological parents, they had spent more than a decade apart. Trying to get along and develop feelings at the same time would be hard.
However, Xiang Jing was still worried; from her point of view she wished Jing Yun Zhao to be well and the company to develop well, but if her “biological” parents found out about the amount of wealth Jing Yun Zhao possessed at her age, would their hearts not sprout even an inkling of greedy thoughts?
