Quaking in Anger (震怒)
Jing Yun Zhao attracted quite a bit of attention as her thin and chillingly arrogant form took step after step towards her destination.
The surrounding students could see her lightly pursed lips and her usual cold att.i.tude as well as what seemed to be hints of a smile that made people tremble in fear. In the eyes of Jiang Xia, however, it represented happiness.
The first letter he sent was actually just to test Jing Yun Zhao. The letter’s contents were something he copied from the net back when he wanted to send a love letter to Qiao Hong Ye. He felt that only such words could adequately express his feelings towards Qiao Hong Ye. Since no one would know anyway, he instead changed the recipient’s name and secretly hid it in Jing Yun Zhao’s drawer. He hadn’t held much hope, but he never thought Jing Yun Zhao would be so easy!
Afterwards, he put in some effort to copy a few more pages and was even a little excited. Because of that, his use of words became even more daring. He thought that since Jing Yun Zhao had a mediator type personality1 anyway, maybe she would like it more if he made it more explicit? Sure enough, her reactions were within his expectations.
Today, he finally wrote his name on his letters.
“Yun Zhao…” Jiang Xia’s tone was warm as he began. He thought that Jing Yun Zhao was likely here to get close to him under the pretence of asking him for help with questions.
Qiao Hong Ye had quit school and He Jia Si had gone back to Ning City, so Jiang Xia’s current deskmate was Tang Zi Hua.
Tang Zi Hua looked to be gentle on the surface, but in reality, his personality was cold. Usually, he didn’t bother to acknowledge Jiang Xia’s presence. However, as he saw how Jing Yun Zhao was currently staring at Jiang Xia, he couldn’t help but think it was weird.
“Tang Zi Hua, please step aside for a moment,” Jing Yun Zhao started.
Tang Zi Hua’s body wasn’t well yet. If something happened to him by accident, she would still have to find another method of treatment for him.
The boy stared blankly behind her and saw Xiao Hai Qing hooking her finger at him playfully. Only then did he get up and join Xiao Hai Qing and co., still utterly confused.
“Xiao Hai Qing, you have to stop her! There’s no way Biao-jie would want to confess to that disgusting guy, right…?” Su Chu’s eyes were red as she whispered anxiously.
When Tang Zi Hua heard her, he was even more shocked. “What’s going on?”
Disgusting guy? Does she mean Jiang Xia? That shouldn’t be. How could Jing Yun Zhao, with that sort of character, fall for a useless and thick-skinned guy like Jiang Xia?
“Okay, okay. Don’t ask so many questions first, just be patient and watch for now,” Xiao Hai Qing laughed.
Turning back to the duo, quite a few people had their eyes wide open as they watched.
“Yun Zhao, sit down first…” Jiang Xia’s att.i.tude was friendly. It had been quite a while since Jing Yun Zhao had spoken to him. If it weren’t for her past life’s experience leaving a deep impression on her, she might even forget someone like him existed.
Jiang Xia chasing after her? Heh heh. How could she not know who’s behind this?
No matter whether it was her previous life or this one, Jiang Xia’s infatuation towards Qiao Hong Ye never changed. Before, with just one word from Qiao Hong Ye, Jiang Xia began to constantly pester her while pretending to be a nice guy. Looks like his level of perversion could still evolve. He actually dared to be so unbridled in school!
“Stand up,” Jing Yun Zhao didn’t listen to him and only gave out an order.
Jiang Xia frowned in dissatisfaction.
However, the tiny bit of expectation incited him into following Jing Yun Zhao’s ‘request’.
Jiang Xia’s sunny smile looked to be extremely gentle, but just as his b.u.t.t left his seat, he saw Jing Yun Zhao raise the book in her hand and proceeded to smash his face in.
‘Pa!’ The textbook slapped Jiang Xia’s face, turning it bright red.
Use her hand? Jing Yun Zhao smirked. She didn’t want to get them dirty.
Previously, she didn’t take any action against Jiang Xia because she felt that his deeds in her past life were a result of Qiao Hong Ye directing things from the shadows. In reality, she didn’t have much real enmity towards him. Although she hated him, he hadn’t done anything that she couldn’t brush off, so although he still looked for trouble in this life, she only punished him to discourage him from making worse mistakes in the future. She didn’t go at him as hard as she did with Qiao Hong Ye, however, this kind of tolerance has their limits!
