Chapter 690 Lus

Eisen stepped out of the hall of l.u.s.t, where he had just taken challenge that took the longest beside Sloth to beat. Of course, the old man didn"t complain about that. He enjoyed his time in there quite a bit. But at the very least, Eisen understood why Satel said he would need a lot of stamina and that he should sleep not too long beforehand.

The old man stretched out a bit with a loud groan. He had been in rather unusual positions the whole time during the past few hours, and some of them were so awkward that they hurt him a little bit to keep up for a longer period of time.

Either way, now, Eisen had beaten every challenge there was to beat here in Limbo. He turned toward the Devil next to him, who had a big, dumb grin on their face for a while now while looking at Eisen.

"Everything alright?" He asked them, and Satel just nodded their head, "Oh, of course~! More than just "alright", even~!"

Since Eisen knew when Satel started looking at him like that, hearing this made him a little uncomfortable. But it wasn"t that big a deal, it wasn"t anything that he couldn"t ignore with ease, "Anyway, where do I now have to go to meet the G.o.d in charge of this realm?"

"Hm? What do you mean?" Satel asked a bit confused, and Eisen became quite confused himself, "Wait, am I not supposed to meet the G.o.ds in h.e.l.l?"

"Oh, no, you definitely are, I just meant that you already met them." The Guide-Devil explained. Just then, Eisen heard the golden gate behind him open up again. He turned around and saw a figure that he had... spent a good bit of his time in there with.

"That"s right, you did." He said, "I hope you didn"t forget about me already~!" The man said with a broad grin on his face, and Eisen let out a long sigh.

"Well, how was I supposed to know that you were a G.o.d?"

"You"ve done the stuff in there with plenty of G.o.ds and Mortals before, so I figured you would be able to differentiate a bit..." The G.o.d said a bit surprised, and Eisen immediately shook his head as he watched the naked man quickly snap his fingers to make some clothes appear on his body out of nowhere, "I don"t think I"ve done some of the things I did in there with anyone..."

"Hah, yeah, those guys are all freaks in there. But it"s always a good time when I hang out with them." The G.o.d pointed out, "Well, anyway, it"s nice to see ya again. The name"s Limbo, if you forgot that as well. I know that you"ve lost your memory, though I don"t know to what extent."

"Nice to meet you... Yeah, I"ve lost all of my memories before a couple of months ago. I started remembering some things again, and I"m close to halfway there to the point where I might be able to recover all of my memories."

"Ah, that"s good, that"s good! So that"s why you"re here in h.e.l.l? To recover more memories?" Limbo asked, but Eisen slowly shook his head, "No, that"s not my main reason. I thought you would have heard about it, since Satel did as well. But I"m here to meet the conditions of my Demonic t.i.tle. Once I"m acknowledged by the G.o.ds of the Underworld, I"ll be a true Demon."

"Eh? They even took that from you? f.u.c.k those dudes, man." Limbo sighed deeply, and Eisen was a bit confused, "Erm, who do you think took my memories?"

"Weren"t it those stuck-up G.o.ds?"

"No, I myself and the other four that peaked got rid of all of our experience ourselves. You must have heard about the Artificials roaming around up there? Yeah, those guys were created out of our experience."

"...Maybe I should pay more attention to what"s going on in the mortal realm than just partying with the new arrivals the whole time..." The G.o.d of the Underworld said with a wry smile, "But well, I could tell you were weaker than before somehow, I just didn"t expect... this. Wait, are you still immortal? Could I maybe-"

"You can"t get my soul to roam around here forever, no. I"m still immortal." Eisen pointed out. With a click of his tongue, Limbo turned his head away and frowned, "Fine, but at least come here more often. This time you were sent to a random one, but I can show you my favorite instances of these halls when you come back next time around."

Eisen looked at Limbo a bit surprised, "What do you mean, your "favorite instances"?"

"Ah, you didn"t know that? Hm, fly up with me a bit. I saw you fight in your demonic form before, you can still use your wings, right?" Limbo asked, and Eisen slowly nodded his head as he activated his Demonic Transformation. At the same time, Limbo simply grew two large wings on his back as well, and the two of them jumped off of the ground with Satel at a good distance between them so that they could speak alone, but so that Satel wouldn"t be left behind altogether.

Once Eisen flew above the height of these castle-walls, he could instantly see what Limbo meant. At first, Eisen thought there would just be nothing around this place, but he was absolutely wrong. Different versions of this castle stretched out beyond the horizon, seemingly all of them filled with their own halls of sin like those that Eisen had just been in.

"Didn"t expect that, eh? Well, the guys that come to Limbo can"t reincarnate, so they"ve been gathering up a bit more. And we get a good few monster-souls to come down here as well. Lucky you didn"t get sent to one of those instances, eh?" Limbo pointed out with a wink, "Ah, there"s even some special instances for those that can"t go anywhere else. For those that can"t live on land, and only underwater. Or those that can only live in high heat or cold weather. And of course for Giants that chose to wors.h.i.+p us. That would"ve been a fun instance, huh?"

"I don"t know about that. If I don"t use my demonic transformation, my largest size that I can reach with my size-change ability shouldn"t be close to the height of giants.

"Hm, is that so?" Limbo replied a bit surprised, "You were using your size-change ability so smoothly in that last hall, I thought you"d have it perfectly under control."

"Could you please stop referencing the things I did in there..?" Eisen asked with a wry smile on his face, and Limbo grumbled to himself for a few moments, "Fine. But let me tell you, you turned boring after litereally losing everything that you developed for 100 thousand years. Didn"t you have any fun before then?"

"Did you really just ask someone if they had fun before they were born? If you asked anyone beside me, the answer would be "No", obviously." The old man pointed out. Limbo shrugged in response, "Eh, so what? I"m a G.o.d, I can do what I want. Anyway, you"re going to head to the other realms after this, huh?"

"Mhm. Any tips you can give me?"

"Tips? Well... Not really? I can wish you "Good luck", but that"s it. I don"t know what kinds of things you have to do there in the first place. But I"d imagine it to be a bit harder than here, honestly."

"...I thought so, yeah."

"What"s that supposed to mean?"

"That the things that took up the most of my time here were eating, sleeping, and f.u.c.king." Eisen pointed out as he kept looking at the other instances of castles here in this infinite Limbo. The G.o.d next to him laughed a bit and nodded his head in response, "Fair enough. Well, wanna head off now?"

"Sounds like a good idea, yeah." Eisen replied, and Limbo simply snapped his fingers. Out of nowhere, a large gate appeared in front of Eisen, slowly opening up. From beyond there, he could already feel strong winds. .h.i.tting his body.

Eisen had read Dante"s Inferno, so he had expected this realm of "l.u.s.t" to be like this, but it still made him wonder what else might happen in there. Because the challenge there couldn"t just be to sit in the strong wind for a while, that simply wouldn"t make sense.

"Thank you, Limbo. I"ll come visit again sometime."

"Please do~!" The G.o.d pointed out with a smirk on his face, and Eisen just quietly smiled back as he flew through the gate in front of him. The moment that he was inside there, he could feel the strong winds pus.h.i.+ng him back, as if they didn"t want him here.

The old man groaned loudly as he finally got a proper footing at some point and deactivated his demonic transformation. He turned his head and looked at Satel, who was standing there without any issues, seemingly not bothered by the wind at all.

"What? This wind is a punishment. I"m perfect, there"s no need to be punished." Satel pointed out with a smirk. Eisen looked back at them and rolled his eyes as he tried to look at the area around him. It seemed to be somewhat similar to the castle from Limbo, judging from the materials at least.

Right now, Eisen was in a long hallway, which made it feel even weirder when the wind-direction kept changing to come from places that were simply impossible. And then, a notification appeared in front of Eisen to tell him what he had to do.

[New Quest – Winds of l.u.s.t]

Eisen stared at the notification with an annoyed expression, quickly waving it to the side, "Seriously? How am I supposed to do that..?"

"Do what?" Satel inquired, and Eisen quickly replied ""Become unbothered by the Winds of l.u.s.t"."

"Heh..." The Devil laughed quietly. Eisen turned around and glared at him, "Stop laughing, I know it sounds basically impossible."

"I mean, it"s not really impossible for you. For the dead beings that have been sent here, sure, but not for you." The Guide-Devil explained, "Just walk around for a while, and you"ll see what I mean, surely."

"...Thanks. When did you become so helpful?"

"After I"ve been helped out by you just a bit ago~, heh..."
