The same feeling as when I arrived in this world takes hold of me. A sense of powerlessness and pain take consume me. I am thrown into memories again, but this time I have some experience and a stronger soul. The first memory is a happy one. I can feel a longing for this memory. A pair of eyes open to see fields of flowers. The color of these flowers is varied, but it"s like an ocean as the wind moves them. I can feel arms slowly wrapping around me. I feel these arms are familiar. I know these are her mother"s arms wrapping around the small child.
The embrace is warm, but not tight enough for her not to be able to turn around and see her mother"s crying face. The woman is beautiful, and her long black hair catches her tears before they fall on the little girl. The mother"s smile is the warmest smile as tears fall down her face like rain. She exudes grace, and beauty even while crying.
She gives off a regal, and dignified aura. This is not a real aura, but just the feeling she gives off. The look in her mother"s eyes as her daughter looks into her eyes is like a painting of a broken soul. The fame is gorgeous, but the image you expect to see is gone, and in its place is a darkness nothing can fill.
It makes me wanna cry seeing someone look so sad, yet smiling. I can tell at a Glance she is lying to her daughter about a tragedy. She begins humming a sweet sounding hymn as petal fly in the wind.
I see a stone hidden in the middle of the sea of flowers. There are six smaller stones around a large stone. I can feel her happiness as she is able to read the writing on the larger stone. It"s carved on the natural looking stone, "Here lays to rest, a father, husband, and a leader.
Her mother begins to braid her daughter"s hair. She whispers to the girl, " My precious little cub, Cyanotis, you are such a strong girl".
"I am mommy, I have been practicing just like you taught me." she responds in a cute voice, I can tell she is too young to understand what is happening.
It"s at this point I notice she has two sets of ears. The second pair is like that of a teddy bear I think. I can feel her mother braiding the hair around her ears into two top buns. The little bear cub girl begins to bounce around moving her feet to a certain pattern moving rather fast. I can tell she is showing her mother she practiced this.
I can hear the slight struggle in her mother"s voice as she says "We must say goodbye to your father". The light in her eyes as she looks at her is a mix of grief and pride.
The way she says it sounds so warm, yet the hidden coldness that haunts her eyes contradicts this. The little girl hums along with her mother to the familiar tune. She places a flower wreath around the six stones. The two then begin to dance in a strange yet fluid dance. The two are perfectly mirroring each other. The dance is filled with pa.s.sion and contains no sadness. The two are like the wind, then suddenly they are moving so fast both using the movement Cyanotis showed off earlier.
The little girl finishes the dance with her mother shortly after sweaty and smiling. She looks into the sky hoping her father finds peace. The mother, and daughter hum together on last time.
The little girl holding onto her mother"s arms humming the song her father used to hum her to sleep with. The feeling of safety as she fell asleep makes me feel drowsy as well. This is the end of the memory. I find myself wishing I could hum that song one more time.
The next memory begins, and I feel a sense of hatred that no child should have to bear. I know Cyanotis is a little older now, but I see nothing. I only hear the last words Cyanotis heard from her mother. "My little cub, you must run, and live my dear child. Trust no one, you must be strong, and never reveal your family"s origin. We don"t have much time left. Take these, and know I"m sorry".
Suddenly I see her much-aged mother with long gray hair and a girl who looks like Cyanotis next to her. A cold metal ring with her father"s insignia and a hairpin from her mother are all Cyanotis given beside a small purse of coins. It"s pushed into her hands. The ring, hair pin, and coin purse are then tied to her body.
Cyanotis is thrown into a river. As she falls she can read her mother"s lips saying "forgive me" to the girl next to her. The last sight Cyanotis has of her mother is witnessing her killing this girl.
Cyanotis" mother extended her nail just like she taught Cyanotis, and slit the girl"s throat. The blood flies in the air and her mother points her other hand, and a blast of air explodes towards where Cyanotis was once standing with a powder mixed in.
This smell covering powder, but Cyanotis only realized this later. Cyanotis lands in the water with a splash, feeling weak, and tired, but manages to stay above water for the most part. She struggled for so long, only to wash ash.o.r.e hours later.
Cyanotis wanted to go back but knew she could not allow her mother"s sacrifice to be in vain. The memory is one of anger and confusion, but then next memory is of an older girl about fourteen. She is crying her eyes out when she hears at a local bar that the Ursa Moonlight clan had been wiped out. She holds in her tears and leaves.
The girl did not live this long being weak. She heads to a small house filled with other orphans and cries for days. She refuses to eat. Cyanotis yells out in pain. She cries, but she does not let this stop her from practicing the dance of the Ursa moonlight clan in secret.
She is older now. She is still in pain and feels broken, but she knows the sacrifice her parents made for her. She is the last true Three-eyed moonlight bear. The clan of the ursa moonlight were known for having warriors talented in healing, illusions, soul attacks, and the ability to boost their power under the moonlight.
She knew her ancestor was a powerful three-eyed moonlight bear that grew strong enough take human form. She was a powerful warrior who led her clan to prosperity. She knew her ancestor"s love for a gentle human healer was the origin of their clan.
She remembered her father telling her how the bloodline pa.s.ses through their human bodies, and one day she would be able to transform into a mighty three-eyed moonlight bear.
She remembered her father died protecting their clan"s most important treasure and helping them escape into her uncle"s protection. She felt no pain when he died. Cyanotis only felt honored her father died a warrior"s death.
She grew up knowing the dangers she faced. Living a life without fear of starving is not the perfect life many of other the orphan dreamt it to be. She knew her mother protected her from her clan"s attempts to sell her off for protection.
The Ursa moonlight clan has been in decline for centuries since the bloodline has thinned out. Manny other larger beast man tribes tried to bully them for their inheritance, yet the clan survived.
It was only when the earth bear clan reached out did many of their clan plot a coup that left her childhood baptized in blood. It was her father who died protecting the sect treasure. It was he who left her the grim reminder that was her ring. Cyanotis knew her mother, and herself were in danger since she was young, and she had to mature fast.
She was too young to ever inherit the ring before. She knew her uncle"s protection was out of loyalty, not love. The mother and daughter pair were desperate and performed an ancient, and forbidden ceremony. They knew it was not long before she came of age, and would be "married" to the highest bidder.
The girl"s mother was not weak and was able to hold off the clan, but this could not last forever. In a dark room, with many people screaming, an aged version of her mother ask Cyanotis "Are You Ready".
Cyanotis responds with a n.o.b, and strips herself of clothing, and walks into a pool of blood. There is a hole in the ceiling with a layer of soundproof gla.s.s. It along with the rest of the room has been carved with manny runes forming a secure location.
When the moon is at its peak, they sacrificed manny non-loyal members of the clan in secret in an attempt to fully awaken her ancestral three-eyed moonlight bear bloodline.
She knew her mother was a b.l.o.o.d.y berserker bear decedent. It was her father who was willing to leave the clan out of love for her mother. It was only when her clan discovered Cyanotis" high bloodline purity did they accept the couple.
This feeling of pain reminds me of when my corpse worms body awakened the snake corpse blood and transformed. The only difference being I was in a dead body and felt no pain. What Cyanotis suffered was inhuman torture. The only thing that kept her going was knowing she had to grow stronger.
She did this six times after failing the first five. Each time her mother would slit the throats those who betrayed the clan out of greed. The warm blood would pool into a small indent into the ground.
There was a formation carved into the ground that would glow red, and cause the blood to boil. The boiling blood would be forced into her body as she lay in the pool of blood under the glow of the moon. She knew each time her mother would cut herself, and bleed into the pool.
Cyanotis knew she absorbed her mother"s vitality each time she did this. Which is why her mother had aged so poorly, and as quickly as she did in all these months. Her mother hid this by faking being poisoned for her sake.
Cyanotis at times would cry tears of blood until a blood moon appeared on her back the last time performed the ceremony, and her eyes glowed red. The blood moon ceremony worked. The process was by no means easy.
She would bath in the blood of those with the same bloodline as herself. Each step worse than the last, and she had to remain conscious each time to guide the blood to practice the forbidden cultivation method. She knew she was trading her mother"s life span for power, but did not care to protect herself, and mother.
That"s all she truly had. The memory ends, and a new one begins. A strong tree provides shade, this is what the remaining clan elders had in mind when they offer to marry into the earth bear clan. She was strong enough to be able to stealthily listen in to their conversations.
She overheard a clan elder saying a safe place for the clan for their dead clan leader"s daughter was a great trade. The earth bear clan had a weaker bloodline, but a much larger, and stronger clan. Their intentions were not pure, and the clan elders knew this but did not care about selling female clan members to build stronger ties.
Even if it was revealed she had full awakened her bloodline, they would only ask for a higher price. These corrupt thieves only cared for their own benefit, and not that of the clan. The earth bear clan was a secret underlying of the Dragons they would soon find out.
The earth bear clan started to slaughtered her clan when they thought they had the inheritance as her mother has predicted they would. The earth bear clan was looking for her father"s ring. The clan"s land was dyed red when they failed to find it. The earth bear clan was given the sc.r.a.ps of her clan. The males were all killed.
The clans had never been on great terms, but this was the ultimate betrayal. Her mother saw this coming and made sure the last true descendant was drugged, and thrown into the river to save her from a fate worse than death.
A mother"s love was enough to fake her death and kill the body double to save her. She was strong enough to survive all the years after the earth bear"s betrayals. She knew all her mother did for her now, but hearing they all died, even if she grew to loathe the remains of the Ursa moonlight clan, this was a huge blow. She grieved the loss of her mother, her father, and the clan she once knew. She vowed she would get revenge
