Tsubaki stared at the untouched bowl of strawberry and yogurt. This was her all time favourite snack. She could eat it every day. Did Mr. Fuse know it or it was just a coincidence?Tsubaki was quite hungry as she hadn"t had lunch yet. The bowl was so tempting. Brushing her shyness aside, she dug in and enjoyed the snack. She took her sweet time indulging in the sweetness of the fresh strawberries and sourness of the yogurt.
Half an hour had already past when she finished her snack. Tsubaki glanced at Mr. Fuse"s sleeping face. He was sounded asleep. She couldn"t possibly wake him up when he looked so deep in sleep.
Doesn"t he feel cold?
The air conditioning was quite low. She was afraid he would catch a cold sleeping like that. Tsubaki silently stood up and looked around the office. There was only his jacket hanging on the couch.
Maybe I could just use this?
Just as she wanted to grab the coat, she noticed a black door on her left. The door was slightly opened. She could see the edges of a bed inside the room.
Tsubaki walked slowly to the door, afraid she would startle him with the noise. She peered inside the room before opened it wide.
It was a resting lounge. Almost resembled a bedroom. There was a big bed at the center of the room and one big wardrobe beside a door she presumed as a bathroom. Her brows knitted seeing the interior of the room.
If he had a bed in here, why would he sleep on the couch barely fit his tall body?
Tsubaki took a throw blanket, folded neatly on the comforter and brought it outside. She thought that the comforter was too thick for a casual nap. She stood in front of the couch and admired the serene expression of the man.
Who are you, Mr. Fuse?
The same question kept nagging in her mind. From the first moment they met, she had a feeling of familiarity whenever she saw him. She also felt safe even though he was a stranger.
Tsubaki shook her head, didn"t want to be distracted with her own thoughts. She carefully placed the blanket on his body. She would wait until he woke up and tell her himself. It was clear enough that the man didn"t get enough rest in the last few days. Purple colour slightly bruised under his eyes.
Tsubaki sat on the single couch opposite him, her gaze fix on him. His chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm. She couldn"t deny that his beauty was one of a kind, could easily surpa.s.s the top male celebrities in the entertainment industry. He had a naturally cold and aloof aura which deter people from approaching him yet at times he was warm as summer, a clashing of two different auras that attracted her attention.
Tsubaki took out her phone and notebook from the black sling bag. She opened the browser and started finding ideas for the sweets suitable for the younger generation. They were for Matriarch Fuse"s birthday celebration. She was tempted to try all the suggestions that came to her mind.
The clock struck two when Ren finally woke up. He rubbed his sleepy eyes and yawned. He felt something soft was covering his body. Turning his head, he smiled when he saw a sleeping Tsubaki.
Apparently he wasn"t the only one who was tired.
Ren sat up and stretched his muscles. He felt more energised after a good nap. Glancing at his phone, he was shocked to find out that he had slept for almost two hours.
This lady... He smiled. I bet she didn"t have the heart to wake me up.
Tsubaki was leaning against the couch, her feet curled up on the cushion. She looked so adorable he had to restrain himself from hugging her in sleep. Ren opened the camera app in his phone and focused it on her. He smiled in satisfaction once he successfully took a clear picture of Tsubaki.
My love.
Ren walked to the sleeping lady and sat on the gla.s.s coffee table. He wanted to peacefully enjoying his time seeing her like this but she would be embarra.s.sed, mad even if he let her continued sleeping. He raised his hand, gently shaking her left shoulder.
"Miss Hanada, please wake up."
Or I would wake you up with a kiss.
Tsubaki stirred after a while, slowly opening her eyes. She startled when she saw him closed to her. She instinctively changed the way she was lounging on the couch. Her feet touched the floor.
"So... sorry. I fell asleep."
Tsubaki rubbed the sleepiness away from her eyes. She didn"t even realise when did she fall asleep. Her last recollection was when she was jotting down words on her notebook.
"Are you okay?" Ren grabbed the edges of the coffee table, afraid he would stroke her face. "Or shall we go now?"
"Go? Where?" Tsubaki was still in a daze.
Ren smiled. "I"ve promised to tell you everything."
I do not want to hide anymore.
