"You... who are you?" Kitaoji Masaru stuttered.Ren didn"t reply. He casually took a seat in front of the whimpering man. Crossing his legs, he steadying his gaze. His expressionless face threw Kitaoji Masaru into a panic as he didn"t know what to expect from this man.
Kitaoji Masaru knew that this man was the rich heir who always appeared beside Tsubaki as of late but he couldn"t get a hold of his ident.i.ty. His instinct told him that this man was not someone he could mess with but his arrogance pushed away the thought. Surely a powerful man who could conceal his ident.i.ty would not be interested in a girl like her, right?
But he was wrong. As Lawyer Furukawa came in Tsubaki"s behalf without mentioning Fuse Family, he didn"t know who Ren was. Ren didn"t want to let the fool know him easily.
"Look... let"s settle this nicely, okay?"
Kitaoji Masaru tried to negotiate as he didn"t want to admit defeat. As his grandfather had already forbade his parents from bailing him out, he could only beg the man who was backing Tsubaki.
"Do you think you could offer me with something?" Ren spoke as hid eyes darkened dangerously. The menace in his voice sent shiver down Kitaoji Masaru"s spine.
"Yes, yes!" Kitaoji Masaru nodded aggressively. "I could send many beautiful girls to your bed. That b**** couldn"t even be compared to them!"
Hearing what the man had spouting without fear for his life, a murderous glare flashed past Ren"s eyes. Kitaoji Masaru shuddered when he sensed the killing intent but he didn"t stop. He needed to continue talking before his nerves rendered him speechless.
"You don"t want that? It"s a good offer. They are skilled! Surely that b**** didn"t know how to please you. I..."
Wham!
Before Kitaoji Masaru could finish insulting Tsubaki, he was sent flying backward. His body hit the wall hard, making him dizzy. He swore he could hear some of his bones cracked under such force.
"Sorry, my foot slipped."
Ren let out a breath. He nonchalantly brushed his coat but the way his eyes shot daggers to Kitaoji Masaru was enough to raised red alarms in his head. He didn"t dare to blabber anything, afraid he would earn another kick. He could only stare at the man"s frosted face.
"Let me tell you something, Kitaoji Masaru."
Ren stood tall, hands in the coat pockets. The temperature dropped further as he coolly looked at Kitaoji Masaru while demonstrating his domineering presence. Kitaoji Masaru shrank back. He wanted to run away from this dangerous man but his body froze in fear.
"If killing is legal, I won"t hesitate to do it." Ren curled his lips. "But, I think I prefer you to be tortured behind the bars. I"ll make it to the point you would wish for your death earlier. Sounds good, right?"
After finishing his sentence, Ren turned around to leave. He didn"t want to waste any time dealing with the sc.u.mbag. His lawyer would deal with the rest.
"You can"t do that! I"m the Young Master of Kitaoji Family. I..."
Ren sneered. Without looking back, he replied, "Your status is much lower than my wife"s. It"s a fair price for messing with the First Lady of Fuse Family."
Kitaoji Masaru was shocked beyond words. He shook his head, trying to deny the conclusion that arrived after hearing what the man in black had said. But, the longer he tried to deny it, the more he felt unsettled.
"No... no way..."
The mysterious man was Fuse Ren and... Hanada Tsubaki was his wife?
"No! It"s imposibble! No!"
Kitaoji Masaru lying pitifully on the cold floor. No wonder he couldn"t pressure the police with his status. Because of his arrogance, he unknowingly had offended the most powerful man in the city. There was no way he could defeat him even after he gathered most of his contacts.
No wonder Grandfather didn"t want to help me...
But, Old Master Kitaoji didn"t extend his help because he wanted to teach his grandson a lesson. Not because he was frightened by Fuse Family.
"Handle the rest." Ren gave a brief instruction to Lawyer Furukawa once he exited the interrogation room.
The clock had struck quarter to two. Ren walked outside the police station, heading towards the car park. He saw a familiar figure leaning against his Audi Q7. Displeasure flashed in his eyes.
"Don"t shot me with that look, man." Akashi smiled, crossing his arms.
"How did you know I"m here?" Ren had already knew the answer but he still asked Akashi.
"GPS?" Akashi replied casually.
Ren turned around, wanting to go back inside the police station. Akashi immediately grabbed his friend"s shoulders, panicking because he knew what Ren had intended to do.
"Okay! Okay! I"m just joking. Don"t report me over breaching of privacy!"
Ren turned his head, shooting icy glare to Akashi. Akashi smiled sheepishly.
"I called Hibiki and he said you were here. So, I came."
"Speak." Ren didn"t have time to deal with Akashi"s playfulness. He was in a really bad mood right now. All he wanted to do now was going back home to Tsubaki.
"I got a new information on Mr. Yagi, if you wanted to hear it. So, care to join me for a drink?"
Akashi could just tell Ren over the phone but he was so bored so he wanted to invite his friend to a bar. Toshiro was still working so he had no one else to invite except for Ren.
Hearing that, Ren opened the pa.s.senger door and threw Akashi inside. He quickly sat behind the wheels and drove away from the police station. Akashi was baffled. He couldn"t do anything.
