Chapter 739

Ruzie’s expression was complicated as she was struggling. It wasn’t the first time for Ruzie to see Heike’s power. Meanwhile, Heike should never saw or heard what her power could do. But after she used her power, she would be weakened wouldn’t be able to transform back into her G.o.ddess form within 24 hours, which troubled her the most!

So, the best way here was to exhaust Heike without using all of her power. Then again, it was hard for her to do so as Heike had strengthened himself from earlier. Therefore, Ruzie knew that she had to make a decision here quickly.

Countless light cl.u.s.ters began to glow within her wings and the light sword on her hands decomposed into light particles. The horrible vortex that Heike created didn’t seem to have any effect on these lights at all, but Heike wasn’t one to give up either. He reinforced the vortex by using his own blood!

On the other hand, every time the white light intensified, Ruzie seemed to grow paler by the second. At this time, Heike further strengthened the vortex, offsetting Ruzie’s balance while dragging her towards the center of the vortex. But the lights from Ruzie’s wings began to gather on top of Heike’s head, eventually forming a white sword that pointed its edge to Heike’s head.

This was the G.o.ddess Light Punishment! The dazzling sword immediately plunged into Heike’s head like a thunderbolt, with blinding light bursting towards all directions in an instant. Thunderous noises blocked all other sounds from transmitting, and the dazzling light blinded anyone who saw it!

Dio, who had just grabbed ahold of a building that was still intact, couldn’t help but widen his eyes in surprise as everything was blown away because of the impact of the sword.

When the dust settled, the two giants disappeared. A huge crater was formed where the two giants should be. Two bodies were seen inside the crater, but there was no movement whatsoever, so Dio couldn’t tell if any of them survived.

On the crater…

“Hahaha, I didn’t expect to die here, at the hands of the former useless cretin!” Heike said weakly as half of his body was vaporized by Ruzie’s attack.

On the other side, Ruzie was equally injured. When her attack hit Heike, she was dragged toward Heike because of Heike’s move. As a result, she received the impact of her own attack too! It wasn’t like a game at all, where one own attack wouldn’t harm the user, but compared to Heike, she was in a better state as she had resistance to the light element.

Nevertheless, Ruzie was still weakened after launching her powerful attack, so she couldn’t even lift a finger right now.

“This is the first time that I won against you!” Ruzie said weakly. It was the truth as she never won against Heike before, as their matches all ended up in a draw anyway.

“Do you think you have won this duel? No! this is still a draw!” Heike said as he continued to laugh. Heike started to look for the gun that he hid in his body. It was a small gun that wouldn’t hurt the Ad.Pieris people once they transformed, so Ad.Pieris’ people always looked down on the outsider’s weapon. But Heike was different! Although he was proud of his bloodline, he was also an opportunist! He didn’t underestimate the outsider’s weapon as he thought it would be useful one day.

Apparently, this was the time that he would put it to great use! Now that Ruzie and Heike could no longer continue their fight, Heike got the upper hand as he still had the gun with him! With just a flick of his finger, he would be able to take out Ruzie, and this was the advantage of technology!

When Ruzie saw that Heike pulled out a gun and aimed it at her, a flash of sorrow filled her eyes. She thought of the people that died in this war, and her eyes were filled with hatred once again. In her opinion, the war was over after her fight with Heike, and her victory was already a.s.sured for she would be able to recover after a short while. But Heike pulled out a gun, a weapon of the outsiders! This was simply too shameful of an action for Ad.Pieris people!

“You don’t deserve to call yourself Ad.Pierian!” Ruzie shouted coldly! Ruzie’s word resonated deep into Heike’s heart, and thus he pulled the trigger immediately! But the image of Ruzie losing her head never came. It turned out that he had missed his shot, but it wasn’t because of his own incompetence, but because something cut his arm off his body!

Heike was confused. He didn’t know there was anyone brave enough to get close to their battlefield this soon. Nevertheless, Heike knew that he wouldn’t survive! The injuries that he received from Ruzie were already bad enough that he didn’t have any strength to defend himself.

He heard the sound of footsteps creeping closer, and once he looked up, he was further confused as it was an outsider! But why would an outsider attack him instead of finishing Ruzie off? He already allied himself with the outsiders! Was this a betrayal?

Heike couldn’t help but feel betrayed, and the look of hatred and rage distorted the expression on his face.

Dio came to the scene with a sullen look on his face.

“Are you the one who created the big bang just now?” Dio asked as he turned his attention to the woman who laid on the ground. With the help of the Translator program, Dio was sure that he was speaking in Ad.Pieris’s language, and thus the woman should understand what he was saying.

“I am so sorry! I am willing to accept any reasonable request as compensation.” Ruzie said hurriedly as her intuition told her that she would be killed if she said something wrong.

Dio was surprised! He didn’t expect the woman to grovel like this to bargain for her life! Has the law of the universe been broken?
