Chapter 354: Ancient Site (4)
The area was full of small animals, not afraid of humans.
“They are not afraid of us.”
“They see humans for the first time.”
Jinpok and Doral spoke as they came across many animals.
“Oh, look at that!”
More animals and unique looking beings came out, checking on Joonb.u.m’s party.
“Animals here are very friendly toward most living beings. They are especially interested in humans,” Hatchling Garent explained. All sorts of animals and living beings came up to them. Among them was a living being with two heads and 10 arms and legs.
“Huh? You think this is the effect of nuclear energy?”
Joonb.u.m nodded. Graham also nodded.
“Most animals here seem to be affected.”
“Is it okay now?” Joonb.u.m asked and Graham glanced at Garent.
“Look at him, he ate so much that he’s gotten that fat. He’s growing so fast too. You should take it slow, especially if you don’t want to become the world’s first obese dragon.”
“Hehe. Yeah.”
Hatchling Garent scratched his head. He looked like a small human child. It was hard to think he was actually a dragon.
“It’s here!”
As they walked with Garent’s guidance for about an hour, they reached a large entrance.
“Wow.”
“Hm…”
A giant entrance to the cave was ahead of them in the creepy atmosphere. The area was much colder than in other places.
“This looks neat.”
“Yeah, isn’t it?”
Jinpok spoke and Garent jumped in.
‘It does have air.’
“I observed all nuclear energy from within the cave. It’s safe. Oh, and there were some monsters inside but I ate them all too. They were delicious…”
Garent explained for quite a bit proudly. When he was done, he began walking into the cave.
‘It’s huge.’
It was huge cave. They walked a long time into the silent cave until Garent stopped and knocked on the wall.
“Look.”
It was the distinct sound of a metal.
“Is this metal?”
Jinpok touched the wall and Doral also nodded.
“It’s not iron.”
The wall also seemed to be artificially made. It was dirty and had moss all over it, but it was not a naturally-formed wall.
“Is the entire wall made out of this metal?”
“Yeah, it’s really huge. It’s hard to make it out from here… but it’s larger than a large mountain!”
Garent answered Joonb.u.m’s question.
“Can you explain in more detail?” Doral asked and Garent thought for a second on how to explain.
“Did you see the small mountains on your way here? And the large one just before you got here?”
Jinpok became surprised. Doral seemed to be surprised too.
“I guess it’s a bit smaller than that large one.”
Everyone became silent. A metal object of such size was underneath this place.
“So, how far is the entrance to the ting?” Doral asked and Garent answered, “I would say, half a day of walking?”
Jinpok sighed, “Whoa. It really is interesting.”
Graham also seemed to be very interested. The party then began to speed up toward the entrance. Soon, they were at their destination much faster than Garent’s expected time.
“Huh??”
“Hmm…”
“This is…”
What they witnessed was a giant entrance.
“It wasn’t so big when I found it, but I got bored and dug in. It was huge.”
The giant gate was also very huge. It was as huge as a building. Joonb.u.m then stopped in one of the locations of the gate. Jinpok and Doral also seemed to be watching it. There was some damage where the gate and wall met.
‘Explosion?’
Everyone thought of the same thing.
“Did you go in?”
“Yeah. Nothing’s in there. It’s all messed up because of the monsters that lived there. I did clean the place after I ate them, though.”
Garent answered Graham’s question.
“OH, and there are tons of doors inside too. But I didn’t open any of them.”
