Jason put on his s.h.i.+rt cheerfully and then went to comb his hair and grabbed his car key. Although last night he was a bit sad at the thought of separating with his love and even wanted to follow her along, he decided that it was better for Mika to be away while he and with the help of Jeremy settling the problem in his family. He also knew even if he followed her, she would stick herself next to Ryn. He would not even be able to spend the night with Mika. She would share her bed with Ryn, no one else. It was better to let Mika go alone with her team while he deals with the things here.He went downstairs, heading to the dining room to have his breakfast. He did not have to go to Mika"s to have breakfast. She said she would have her breakfast with her family before going to work with Jeremy.
"Jason."
He was about to greet his parents when his name being called when he entered the dining room. He paused and looked at his mother. She was giving a sad look at him. Silently he groaned to himself. He bet that "problem" had gone and complained about him. They were quite fast in this kind of matter.
"Good morning, father, mother," he still greeted them and took his seat. A maid quickly came to send his breakfast. Today they were having porridge with fried bread. There was even a small bowl of fruits consist of strawberries, watermelon, apple, pineapple and orange. A cup of hot steamy mocha was included in his set of breakfast.
Jason reached for his drink and sipped it slowly, enjoying the taste of milk and coffee blended together. Then, he put it down and reached for his fried bread.
"I heard that you left the siblings at the club?" his mother started, narrowing her eyes suspiciously at her son. Jason was such a good child and always obeyed all their orders and instruction. She had no idea why this time her son was being rebellious. Didn"t he understand why she told him to do what she told him to do?
"I gave them money for the cab," he replied, reaching for the second fried bread. It was so fluffy and small, it only took him three bites to finish one.
"Jason," she sighed heavily. She looked at her husband for help but he was busy eating. Fried bread dipped in porridge was his favourite dish to eat for breakfast, especially when his lovely wife made them for the family.
"Husband," she called, trying to grab his attention.
He finally lifted up his head and looked at her. He covered his puzzles by reaching his hand toward her and patted her hand gently and lovingly. Then, he continued focussing on his food like nothing else mattered.
She gave him a look but he did not see it. His focus was on the porridge, digging for more meat and little cute carrots. Sometimes his wife would deliberately made a love-shaped carrot for him, buried deep in the porridge.
Jason hid a smile. At least now his mother"s focus was on his father. He quickly finished off his breakfast and stood up. "I"m done. I"ll leave first."
"Are you going to the office first?" his father finally broke his focus on the food and looked at him.
"Yes. After the meeting, I"m going to the airport. Mika is going to Switzerland and I need to send her," Jason explained his schedule.
"Sit down, Jason. I haven"t finished yet," his mother ordered.
Jason made a show of checking his watch before looked at his mother with a hint of a smile. "I"m sorry, mother. I have a meeting this morning. I"ll see you tonight. Goodbye."
Without waiting for her reply, Jason quickly rushed to the underground garage to choose the vehicle to bring him to the office today. He chose red Ferrari. It looked best against his outfit. He, after all, was going to meet the love of his life so he needed to be careful choosing a suitable car to match his outfit.
"I don"t know what I should do with him, dear," his mother sighed heavily once the son left the building.
"He"s grown up. Let him be. Besides, I do think it is not good to follow whatever they want even though you feel sorry for them, especially toward your sister," his father commented.
"But she is my little sister and I feel guilty. If not because of our relations.h.i.+p she would not..."
"Hey, hey, my love, stop torturing yourself. You are innocent in this matter. It was I who chose you. I did not choose her. The one I love is you, not her. Even, if you both are not siblings and you haven"t appeared in my life, I would still not choose her. I would wait for you forever," he pulled her into his arms and stroked her back gently, soothingly. Then, he pressed a kiss on top of her head lovingly. "The one I love is you."
She nodded and buried her face against his chest. She felt guilty for stealing his love from her little sister. If she did not insist on meeting him that night and confess her feeling, her little sister might not be running away from home and even joining with those bad guys.
The maids who were in the dining room waiting to serve them silently left the room. One of them even slowly closed the door to give the couple privacy.
*~*~*~*
Ryn stretched her arms and yawned. She looked around sleepily before buried herself deeper into the bed. The second day of filming the advertis.e.m.e.nt and she was exhausted.
Last night she arrived quite late. The filming took hours until the director was happy with the take. When she reached the hotel room, she slumped herself on the bed, no longer interested in eating dinner.
Hence, even though right now she wanted so much to continue her sleep, her growling stomach was making her unhappy. She rolled on the bed, trying hard to ignore the growling.
But she just couldn"t ignore it. She always lost to her hunger.
With a loud groan, she made a beeline toward the bathroom to brush her teeth and did whatever needed at the toilet. Then, she washed her face before she grabbed her key and the breakfast voucher. She just reached the elevator before she groaned again and returned back to her room. She forgot her mobile phone!
She handed the voucher at the waiter and joined with the other guests at the breakfast buffet. Of course, the first thing she reached was the coffee. She needed the fuel to open her eyes widely and energize her body. She also reached for a gla.s.s of milk and a gla.s.s of orange juice. These drinks were like a compulsory for her whenever she was having a buffet for breakfast at the hotel. Instead of sitting at the balcony or near the window like usual, she chose a corner away from others. She sat backing others, just wanting to have her breakfast quietly.
Her phone rang when she was on the way back to her room. She frowned seeing a message from Mika.
Please call me if you have time.
Without wasting another moment, Ryn dialled Mika"s number. Somehow she felt Mika was having a problem because it was rare for her to ask Ryn to call. Usually, Mika would send messages whenever Ryn was working in other country because of the time differences. And Mika also did not want to disturb Ryn in case she was in the middle of working.
The phone did not even ring. It went straight to a computerized voice, indicating the phone was off.
Ryn frowned. She looked at the time, only to slap her own hand. Mika most probably in the plane right now. Of course, she would switch off the phone when flying.
"Well, we will meet tomorrow anyway," she shrugged it off. She checked back the time and realized she needed to prepare now for the shooting.
She no longer wasted any time for daydreaming or a short nap. She quickly took a quick shower and put on a set of clean clothes, her last clean clothes. Tomorrow she would wear the one she wore when she checked in to this hotel.
Sigh.
She was getting sick of wearing the same clothes every day but she was too lazy to bring too many clothes. She would rather wash them but… yesterday she did not have the time to wash them. Maybe today after the shooting she would go to a self-service laundry shop to wash them.
Yes. That would be her plan for today.
She grabbed her backpack and rushed out. A crew would pick her up in five minutes.
She tapped her right foot impatiently while waiting for the elevator"s door to open. Then, she walked toward the lobby. She could no run with so many people there. It was even hard when so many people were at the lobby, waiting to check-in. She looked around but there was no couch available for her to sit while waiting. With a grimace, she walked toward the door. It was better to wait outside. She could breathe in fresh air while waiting.
Soon enough, an SUV approached. She quickly got into the vehicle and put her backpack on her laps.
"I heard you"re going to another country for work," a crew asked her as the SUV joined in with the other cars on the road.
"Hmm... Switzerland," Ryn nodded.
"Wow... how many countries have you been for these weeks?" another asked.
"Four... five...? I can"t remember," Ryn scratched her head in puzzle. She did not count how many places she has to go. All she cared was doing her job perfectly, making sure she has clean clothes to wear and she also has to have a place to sleep and a plane ticket for the next destination.
"How"s your jetlag?" the driver asked.
"What jetlag?" Ryn asked and immediately yawned loudly.
Everyone laughed. All except for Ryn who was giving them a puzzled look.
