They then checked one by one, from the entrance way, his shoe rack, bathroom, washroom, to his own room. Even though he was the one who asked him to, having the places he spent his daily life, to even inside of his closet looked into was a little embarra.s.sing. Kusamakura really did open and check everywhere, obvious places, but even the places there was no possible way for anyone to hide in. In the bathroom, he checked inside the toilet bowl and on top of the shelves. In the dressing room, he checked inside of the washing machine, and in the kitchen, he checked inside the cupboard under the sink. He checked them all one by one, telling him no one was there. Still, being told for sure that no one was there relaxed him immensely. He was able to ascertain there was no one there after all. Once they thoroughly checked each nook and cranny, they returned to the living room.
“There was nothing. There didn’t appear to be anything out of the ordinary.”
“Th-Thank you&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip;so much&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip;”
He felt relief as he lowered his head. Nothing seemed to be stolen either. He felt at ease that there was nothing, but on the other hand, all that was left now was the fact that he made a big deal out of nothing all on his own.
—H-How embarra.s.sing&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip;!
Of course, Kusamakura would never say anything that mean to him, but that didn’t change the fact that it was embarra.s.sing.
