He insisted, but received a long sigh in response.
“That may be so, but I’ll worry, so don’t.”
“Is that so&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip;?”
“Yes. I’d end up escorting you back. That would be pretty amusing though.”
Unsure if he was serious or joking, Tatsumi laughed at his words. Since he didn’t intend on worrying others by insisting he get his way, he obediently backed down. Kusamakura told him in a composed voice that was for the best.
“See you.”
“Yes, um, thank you for today.”
He bowed his head slightly.
“Don’t worry about it.”
Kusamakura replied back.
“See you tomorrow.”
He said his goodbyes that felt as though he were pleading with him not to go, when something touched his cheek—or at least, that’s what it felt like. He blinked his eyes at the light scent of new greenery.
“&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip;see you tomorrow.”
“Ah, yes. Take care.”
Tatsumi heard his footsteps grow further, then closed the door. He waited the appropriate amount of time it would take Kusamakura to go down the elevator before he locked up. He returned to his room, and reflexively let out a sigh. He felt somewhat giddy. His face still felt flushed as he fanned it with his hand. The “discomfort” he had been feeling in his home had completely vanished.
