One Wrong Remark, And Then Pushed Down (2)
[Unedited]

While the person beside him was distracted and wasn’t paying attention, Gu Yu Sheng’s fingertips that were holding a cigarette trembled slightly. He tilted his head and stared at the raindrops pittery pattering against car window for a long time before raising his hand and taking a puff. After a short while, a wisp of white smoke slowly escaped from his nose. When the smoke ring had almost finished escaping, Gu Yu Sheng grasped his phone and dialled Liang Dou Kou’s number. Her phone was off.

Gu Yu Sheng’s eyebrows lightly knitted. He casually tossed his phone to the side and in an indifferent voice, said to Xiao w.a.n.g in the front, “Go to the north suburbs, Gold Corner.”

Go to the suburbs in such heavy rain to do what? Although Xiao w.a.n.g was puzzled, he didn’t dare to ask, and simply stared straight in front and devoted his attention to driving.

Qin Zhi Ai called ten cars one after the other, and even doubled the price several times, but because of the rain was too intense, the other parties still rejected her order.

Three kilometres from the hot spring was a subway.  The rain was showing no signs of stopping, the sky was getting darker and darker, and Qin Zhi Ai’s phone battery was down to one percent. If she continued wasting time, she might really end up stranded here.

After thinking it over, Qin Zhi Ai eventually bought an umbrella from the hot spring front desk, put on a pair of sungla.s.ses and a mask, and decided to get back to town by subway.

The wind was very strong, blowing the umbrella out of shape. The rain came down extremely fast, wetting all the clothes on her body.

The roads in the outer suburbs were not as level and smooth as the roads in the urban areas, making it difficult to walk in high heels. Qin Zhi Ai had no choice but to take off her shoes and go barefoot.

A section of the road to the subway was currently in construction and was full of potholes. There were puddles (pits) of water everywhere. Inside those puddles were many small crushed rock pieces and sharp tiles which scratched the soles of Qin Zhi Ai’s feet, causing her a great deal of pain.

When Qin Zhi Ai finally pa.s.sed the construction area, the soles of her feet were riddled in wounds, sending a piercing wave of pain with every step.

Qin Zhi Ai gritted her teeth and forced herself to continue along the path. Eventually the pain simply became too great to endure, and she stopped and leaned against a street lamp.

The rain was coming down even more violently and rapidly than it was when she left the hot springs.

Her view in front was practically obscured by the rain. After resting for a while, Qin Zhi Ai lowered her head, and looked at her feet.

There were quite a few cuts which were oozing out blood.

Because the wounds had been soaked in rainwater, the pain was becoming more and more intense. Forget walking, even simply standing was so painful her eyes were starting to water up.

Qin Zhi Ai felt through her bag for her cellphone, wanting to make another attempt at calling for a car, but discovered that the phone had already shut down from lack of power.

The truth was, when she was busy calling for a car, she could have given Old Master Gu’s mansion a call.

If Old Master Gu knew that she was stranded in the outskirts due to the rain and couldn’t get back to town, he definitely wouldn’t just turn a blind eye.

However, she was afraid that Old Master Gu would call Gu Yu Sheng to pick her up.

Gu Yu Sheng…… He didn’t like her bothering him so she would use her utmost effort and ability to make herself an outsider to his world, and not go do anything that had any possibility of disturbing him.
