Chapter 699: I don’t want to Leave her a Hot Potato
As soon as the bedroom door opened, Leng Yan could no longer suppress himself. He puked out blood.
Zhou Xin lost it, “Young master!”
Fl.u.s.tered, he helped Leng Yan onto his bed.
Then, he gave the cup of water that was on Leng Yan’s bed stand to him so he could rinse his mouth.
He then opened the drawer to fetch medicine.
But after he opened the drawer, he froze a little.
Maybe he was overthinking it, but a bottle seemed to be missing.
Maybe he remembered it incorrectly?
Unable to think too much about it, he went back to Leng Yan, whose pale face could no longer be covered with makeup.
He took out a pill and gave Leng Yan another cup of water.
Leng Yan took it and took a moment to breathe, “Have you contacted the lawyer?”
Zhou Xin did not feel good about any of this, “Yes, sir.”
Leng Yan nodded, “That’s good. Make sure my will is safe and make sure none of those people get an opportunity to change anything. I want to leave her a team of supporters, not a hot potato.”
Zhou Xin’s nose felt sour and tears almost fell, “Young master, I know. But when that time comes, Ms. Qiao may not want any of this.”
“Then, don’t tell her anything,” Leng Yan said, “At least don’t tell her how I got sick.”
He then looked over to Zhou Xin with a determined gaze, “You won’t betray me. Right?”
Zhou Xin’s eyes were now red, “What are you saying. I’ve been serving you since I was a child. I used to take care of the mister, and now I take care of you. I watched you grow up! Even if everyone in this world betrays you, I won’t betray you!”
Leng Yan closed his eyes and felt safe, “Uncle Zhou, thank you. After I die and you have taken care of everything, take what I leave you and find a peaceful place to spend your senior years. I have tried to do everything right but I may still have made some enemies along the way. I am worried for your safety.”
Zhou Xin once again felt his heart tighten. It took him some time to finally nod, “I know. Young master, take a break. You are… exhausted.”
Leng Yan nodded and continued to speak weakly, “After Qingqing and them leave, tell me. Qingqing is smart. Even though third young master Jun and young master Qi may act irrationally over her matters, she’s not easy to fool. If they don’t leave, you may have to help me out.”
Zhou Xin sniffled, “Yes, sir.”
Zhou Xin fixed his clothing a little before he headed back down.
He stared at the group of people there, “Why are you all still here? The young master will be meeting until the afternoon.”
He then looked over to the maid, “How are you doing your job?! You still haven’t brought our guests to the dining room?! What will happen to you if the young master finds out you let Ms. Qiao go hungry?! Hurry and take them to the dining room!”
“Plus, prepare a set of food and send it to the study room. The young master won’t have the time to eat down here.”
The maid had an ugly expression on her face, “They were the ones who…”
“There’s no need to trouble you,” Jun Yexuan said to Zhou Xin, “Since your young master is fine, we will be leaving.”
Zhou Xin froze, “You are not staying for a few days?!”
“No need.” Jun Yexuan grabbed Qiao Qing and tried to head out.
“Hey, don’t leave. The young master didn’t agree to it. I need to get his opinion!” Zhou Xin shouted.
Jun Yexuan didn’t even acknowledge him. He opened up his umbrella and pulled Qiao Qing with him.
When the group reached the gate, Qiao QIng suddenly asked, “Where’s Red?”
Mu Jinghang was startled.
