Chapter 364: The Results!
They all knew each other, so before long, they immediately started talking. Lu Ming happily chatted with Meng Yangregarding school matters.
“How was the exam?” Yao Tang looked around, sitting beside Qin Jing.
Qin Jing’s ears perked up, and she immediately straightened her back. “Our average exceeded the other cla.s.ses,” she said excitedly, before rolling her eyes. “I’m going to die from anger.”
“Huh?” She raised her eyebrows.
“A few exchange students started attending our cla.s.ses, and they practically dominated the batch scores. But even without their scores, we’d still topple over the other cla.s.ses! Cla.s.s 11 just wouldn’t admit it!”
!!
Meng Yang frowned.
If it weren’t for Sister Tang’s absence, he would’ve already beaten them to the ground. Unfortunately, she wasn’t the type who’d think that way.
“I’ve already calculated. There are more than ten people in our cla.s.s who have entered the Top 100 list. Seven of them have entered the Top 50 list. In the next exam, we’d be able to beat the other cla.s.ses. That is, if we still continue pushing ourselves.”
“Yeah!” Lu Ming grinned. “We have to crush them!”
Yao Tang slowly nodded, indicating that she understood.
Meng Yang rubbed the back of his neck almost sheepishly. “Although, Sister Tang, without you in cla.s.s, I feel like I’m not as fast as math as I thought I had been.” He chuckled. “It’s like I’m missing something.”
“Me too!” Lin Xin pouted.
Yao Tang didn’t look too surprised. She wasn’t there to use the pills.
“What are your results?”
“I only got the seventh place!” Qin Jing’s eyes twitched in annoyance at the thought of being surpa.s.sed by those transfer students. “I made a mistake and lost ten points because of it! If I hadn’t done that, I would’ve definitely scored in the Top Five!”
“Your critical skills have improved.” Yao Tang nodded thoughtfully, leaning against her seat. “You just have to practice more in the future.”
Upon hearing the word “practice”, Qin Jing paled. When she saw how serious her friend was, she could only solemnly bow her head. “It’ll be fine,” she murmured to herself. “Sister Tangprobably wouldn’t be that strict.”
“And you?” Yao Tang turned to Meng Yang.
Meng Yang sighed. “I placed 105th,” he stated. “There was really thing else I could do. I mean, I got all the basic questions, and even a few intermediate questions right. But my essay writing…the teacher said I got sidetracked. That’s why I only got 20 points.”
“Hm.”
She really needed to do something about this.
Yao Tang planned to bring a few pills to the cla.s.sroom the next day. That way, her cla.s.smates would be able to think and answer better during their exams.
..
The next day, Qin Jing and Meng Yang walked beside Yao Tanglike a pair of bodyguards. They glanced at anyone who walked down the hallway as if daring them to come any closer.
When her cla.s.smates spotted her, they immediately went up to ask how she was doing before later, returning to their seats.
Lin Xin smiled simply as she grabbed something from her bag.
“It’s my report card,” she said, handing it to her friend.
“Right.” Yao Tang chuckled. “I forgot to ask you how your exam had gone yesterday.”
Lin Xin burst into laughter.
“I only made it to the fortieth spot, unfortunately.” Lin Xin smiled sheepishly, shaking her head. “It’s average, but it’s still an improvement.”
She stared at her friend almost expectantly.
Laughing, Yao Tang patted Lin Xin’s head. “You did well,” she encouraged. “Keep up the good work.”
Just then, another girl happened to pa.s.s by while they were speaking. She glanced at her own phone and sighed. “What a coincidence. It seemed I also did well in my exam.”
