Chapter 403: The Test Results
Qin Man gazed at her phone screen, unsure what to make of it. She stared at Yao Yuan’s contact information, her fingers twitching in annoyance. Why did he suddenly hang up on her?
Yao Ran could only lower her head and pretend that she didn’t hear anything.
Just then, her phone lit up.
A text message appeared on the screen. The DNA Test Results had been released!
..
!!
Yao Ran left her mother and headed toward the No. 1 High School. Her heart was beating in her chest as she glanced around her, making sure that no one was following her.
She made her way down the trail and hid behind the tree, waiting for someone to show up.
It didn’t take a couple of seconds for her to see two young students running over her in a hurry. Their foreheads were covered in sweat, and their clothes were practically soaked.
In their hands was a paper bag.
“Is that it?” She glanced at the bag.
“We didn’t really have the time to open it yet, but yes, this is it.” The round-faced boy handed the bag over, urging her to take it. There was a bright glint in his eyes, pleased, that he was able to be useful in this task.
However, Yao Ran made no move to open it.
“I…I’m scared of looking at it,” she admitted worriedly.
“If the result’s really what we think it is, don’t you think my cousin would feel uncomfortable? Wouldn’t this mean that she’s…she’s already found a place to belong in.”
The boys simply frowned in response.
“Regardless of whether or not she’s their legitimate daughter, the truth should be set free, right? Is that not enough? We can’t avoid such a great discovery, right?”
“That’s right,” the other boy agreed. “Now that the test results are out, we have to look at it.”
“That’s right. Look at how she’s treating you. Why do you have to be so nice to her? If she’s an illegitimate daughter, then maybe we could expose her even more! How about this? I’ll even help you look into it.”
After saying that, before Yao Ran could say anything else, the boy took the doc.u.ment bag and opened it.
Yao Ran was obviously antic.i.p.ating it, but she still looked like she was afraid to look at it.
Suddenly, the boy froze, furrowing his eyebrows.
What was the result?
Another boy peered over to take a look at the paper.
As soon as he saw this, he glanced at his phone to search for something. Only upon seeing the results did he furrow his eyebrows even more.
Seeing the two of them, Yao Ran couldn’t help but feel a little curious.
“What’s going on?” She furrowed her eyebrows. “The results…”
She had asked the two boys to get the results because she wanted them to publicize this matter. That way, more people would know about the news.
Although she had told them that Yao Tang’s parents were Yao Rong and Jiang Wan’s DNA, the DNA actually belonged to Yao Yuanand Qin Man.
However, the results were different from what she had imagined.
Yao Ran frowned slightly and reached out for the report.
There, she saw the last few lines.
First, she glanced at Yao Tang and Qin Man’s report.
It was a 99.9% match!
Given that this was done by Yao Ran in private, she didn’t use the names of her parents and Yao Tang. That’s why she only labeled them as mother and daughter.
She pursed her lips.
They were actually related.
Yao Tang was really Qin Man’s daughter.
She glanced at the paternity test report, and her frown deepened. It was Yao Tang and Yao Yuan.
This meant that they must be related.
..
Cla.s.s 20 was in the middle of cla.s.s.
“It’s still the same method as before.” Yao Tang glanced up at Xi Yan, interrupting her in the middle of cla.s.s. “What if we have a self-study cla.s.s?”
The entire Cla.s.s 20 fell silent.
