Chapter 96 Poisoned
Qin Rui briefly explained his sister’s condition, with Yao Tangnodding along the way. As soon as they had finally arrived at the Qin Family Home, he brought her to his sister’s room and excused himself. “Thank you again for your a.s.sistance,” he said, before going down the steps.
As soon as she entered the room, she saw a girl whose hair was covering half her face. She was staring intently at the TV in front of her, unbothered about the way she had been shrouded in the dark. Yao Tang took another step forward, only to see Sheng Ting’s dance tutorial playing on the screen.
Shrugging, she walked straight to the single-seater couch and sat down.
She didn’t talk to the girl. Instead, she started playing her game. The brightness illuminated her hard features, but she couldn’t be bothered. Only after did she win the game did the dance tutorial finally end.
!!
Qin Jing sighed, knowing that the show was finally over. However, she couldn’t help but glance at the other woman who had entered her home.
Coincidentally, the woman had also put her phone away and turned on the lights in the room. A bright light illuminated her surroundings, and Yao Tang turned to look at her with narrowed eyes.
The young girl unconsciously placed a hand over her face and backed away to the corner of the couch. With her face and body a mess, she might scare people in their sleep. Moreover, the girl was so beautiful. She might only be disgusted by her appearance. “The poison has already spread to your face,” Yao Tang slowly said. “It hurts and itches-that’s why you can’t help but touch it, right?”
There was no disgust in the woman’s gaze, only curiosity, and seriousness. It was the first time she had ever been regarded that way by a total stranger before. While her voice was cold, it somewhat held a different kind of warmth.
Did this woman really not care of the abscess on her forehead?
Even she was disgusted by her own reflection, hating the way it had rotted and reeked.
“Poison?”
Qin Jing paled as soon as she processed what Yao Tangwas trying to say. She covered her mouth, showcasing her splotchy skin. “You’re saying that I’ve been poisoned? My face-it’s not because of my acne?”
Her family had taken her to countless hospitals of different sizes, yet they had given her no ointments to improve the state of her face.
Everyone had said that this was simply a curse. There were even a few doctors who said that it was her private life that had caused her too much stress. Only Yao Tang was the one who said that she had been poisoned. But should she really believe her? What if she was just some sort of quack doctor who wanted some quick cash?
“Don’t touch it,” she said coldly. “If you want those splotches to worsen, keep touching it.” Hearing her snap, Qin Jing felt her tears running down her cheeks. Did this woman really know what she was talking about?
“You really think you can treat me?” Qin Jing’s face was filled with hope as she gazed pitifully at her.
Yao Tang didn’t say anything. Instead, she opened the wooden box she had brought with her and took out a black cloth bag and an iron box. There was a bouquet of flowers engraved across the box, making it appear extremely elegant.
“Take off your clothes and lie on the bed.”
Yao Tang casually picked up the black bag.
However, her words surprised Qin Jing greatly. Tears streamed down the corner of her eyes as she crossed her arms. “What are you doing?” she demanded. “I don’t want to be injected, and I don’t want to be cut open. My body is already in pain!”
Yao Tang seemed to be indifferent by her trembling
“Cut the c.r.a.p! Do you still want the scar on your face to heal?”
“There is no other person in the world who can help you.” She shrugged. “You have three seconds to do as I say, else I’ll be leaving.”
“Three!”
“Two!”
Before Yao Tang could count to one, Qin Jinghad already jumped off the sofa. She didn’t even care about the pain she had felt from the sudden movements. “I’ll take it off,” she shouted. “I’ll take it off!”
The pain was nothing compared to the poison in her body!
Thinking about her face, Qin Jing gritted her teeth and took off her pajamas. She lay on the bed and waited.
She didn’t want to suffer this kind of torture anymore.
Yao Tang stood by the bed and pulled out the silver needles from the cloth bag. Glancing at the woman beside her, she positioned the needles into the acupuncture points on the woman’s arm firmly. Her eyes bored on the woman’s face as if a.n.a.lyzing her symptoms.
Before she could even notice, her body was already dotted with silver needles.
A numbing sensation spread throughout her body, and Qin Jing breathed deeply. The inexplicable pain she felt on her face had lessened, and the itchiness was already gone. Instead, a warm feeling overcame her entire system, and she almost sighed in relief.
Would it work?
Could a few needles remove the toxins in her body?
Qin Jing frowned, gazing at the ceiling. She was a little uncertain about the process. After all, there was nothing scientific about the girl’s process. Only when Yao Tangpulled out all the silver needles on her arm did her body jolt.
ce
A silver light flashed, and she could feel a sharp pain on her fingertip.
Qin Jing looked down to see that her pinkie had been p.r.i.c.ked by a needle. Blood flowed out of the cut, however, there was something different about this. Upon closer look, she gasped. Her blood was color black!
