Without waiting any longer, October got up and went to the ladies room like a gust of wind. Elise, having to witness the pale complexion of October when she hurriedly got up, made her quite worried. Did she not like the food?
Elise stood up and followed October into the ladies room in a hurried pace toward the closed door. Leaning her ears on the door, she heard October gagging inside as she threw up.
Worried, Elise knocked on the door and asked, "Hey, are you okay?"
October didn"t reply for a moment and flushed it away. Why is this happening? Did she ate something bad? No, that"s not possible. Also, she didn"t eat that much early today so why did she threw up?
She got out but was then got a.s.saulted by the scent that has been irritating her this whole time and now she was already getting nauseous again. She can"t help but wrinkle her nose in dislike.
"Hey, are you alright? What happened?" Elise asked as she started to walk toward October.
However, before Elise could even take a second step, October raised her hand toward Elise gesturing to a stop and made a deep frown on her pretty face as she spat, "Stop. Don"t come near me or I"ll throw up again."
Elise stopped on her tracks as she turned to October with a pained look on her face. She was a little hurt at October"s words directed at her and was also stumped for words as she just looked at October"s back that was bent on the sink with the water running as she rinsed her mouth.
Having finished rinsing her mouth, October then splashed some cold water on her flushed face. She took a deep breath before looking at Elise through the mirror and let out a sighed. She knew she just slipped her tongue by telling Elise the words running through her mind.
October, with a blank face still, turned around to face Elise"s pained expression and inquisitive eyes staring at her.
"Sorry. I was just not feeling that well lately." October sighed and ma.s.saged her temple.
"W-why? What happened? Where are you hurting?" Elise asked with full of concern on her voice. She was just about to rush toward October but stopped when she remembered October"s words.
October shook her head, "No, I"m not hurting anywhere. I"m just not feeling that well these days." She then let out a sigh again and ma.s.saged her temple.
"These days?" Elise was incredulous at what she has just heard. "Did she had food poisoning before too?"
October nodded, "Yes, I"ve been really nauseous these days and vomit every now and then, especially today with your strong perfume." October replied with a blank look and even tone as the things she"s talking about does not concern her at all.
"Why didn"t you go to the hospital for a check up?" Elise asked while crossing her arms over her chest. She was irritated at how October was being so indifferent with her health.
"...I didn"t have time to go there." October replied honestly. She also thought that it was maybe because of her busy work. Did the stress get to her somehow?
"No, I"ll take you there right now. Geez, how can you be so unconcerned with your health? You really make people worry." Elise said with a tone that made October unable to refute and then she turned around to leave the ladies room.
October, on the other hand, just stood rooted in place as she just stared at Elise"s leaving figure.
"C"mon. Do you want me to drag you there myself?" Elise asked with a warning look on her face. She noticed earlier that October was really not feeling well just by her pale complexion; unfortunately, she thought that it was just nothing. But what really baffled her was October"s vomiting.
"Fine." October finally agreed to go to the hospital for a check up. It would also help her know what was wrong with her body. She then followed Elise and went out of the ladies room.
Both October and Elise went back to their table to get their tab and October immediately paid for their food. There were a lot of unfinished food and October thought that it was such a waste but she really can"t do anything about it now that her appet.i.te was gone.
Elise walked further ahead of October in order to at least not let her perfume be strong enough for October to smell. She has always been wearing this kind of perfume yet why was it now making October dislike it so strongly? Unless...Elise immediately shook her head and dismissed that thought and continued to walk toward the exit.
October walked silently and kept her distance from Elise. She was really tempted to cover her nose right now but have to stop herself. Looking up, she saw Elise handing her car keys on the attendant outside and the attendant quickly went to get their car.
After a couple of minutes, the attendant came back with Elise"s car. Both then straightaway climbed into the car and sped off toward the hospital.
Elise opened all the windows of her car to let some air in. "Just bear with it for now."
"Thanks." October sincerely said as she looked at Elise concentrating on her driving.
"Geez. Anyway, have you been keeping yourself from saying to me that you disliked my perfume? I could have changed it, you know." Elise fumed while pouting and took quick glances at October beside her.
"No, I"ve never been bothered with it before." October shook her head. She was also confused herself about this sudden change in her. "I just kind of disliked it since today. My sense of smell is really sensitive nowadays. Also,..."
Elise raised her brow when she heard October"s reluctant voice. "Also what?"
"Well, it"s nothing much. Maybe I"m just imagining it." October shrugged and turned to look out of the window. "That"s right, I must have been just tired lately and got confused that was why I thought that my b.r.e.a.s.t.s felt weird. Yeah, that must be it!" October said to herself as if to convince herself.
Even though October said this, she was still concerned about it. However, no one would notice much of her troubles for she never let her thoughts leak out and be shown on her face. That can maintain her blank and emotionless face in front of everyone except for one, Lexus. He was the only person that made her let loose of her thoughts and made her feel all sorts of emotions that she never thought she had ever had. This always happened whenever she was with him.
October was scared of her sudden outburst and change and she was so unprepared of these emotions and feelings that were so foreign to her. She thought that she was already incapable of such things, but how come she had those in front of Lexus? "What is it about him that made me feel that why? Why was he treating me that way? What is he to me?...what am I to him?"
Unconsciously clenching her hands to fists, October looked somber for a split second and back to emotionless as she continued to look outside of her window. She wanted to ask him but she also knew that even he can"t answer her. Additionally, she can"t see him now. He already hated her. He has already forgotten about her.
"We"re here." Elise said as she pulled her car to a stop on the parking area.
