Pasu sat there on the carriage as it moved through the forest, a very blank and very annoyed look on his face as he says with as much calmness as he could muster. “Let’s go over this again, and try to NOT have random tackles, attempted kisses, complete ignoring, or even fighting.” He sits up and points at the Seraphs. “You three are Violet, Mich.e.l.le, and Cinder.” They nod. “And the four with me are Helvynia, Pym, Wolik, and Hynnia.” The four nod. “Does everyone remember their names now?”
“Of course I do, I’m not an idiot.” Hynnia says calmly.
Pasu’s vein on his head becomes visible. “I was talking to the three Seraphs… And yes, you are an idiot.”
Hynnia places a finger on her chin. “Oh, I thought you were talking to everyone.”
Pym says begruntly. “And the last comment went over her head, proving it.”
Wolik raises his travel tankard that held a full gla.s.s of strengthened mead. “Dos.”
Violet looks at Pasu. “So, where are we heading?”
Wolik downs his drink in an instant and slams it onto the bench of the carriage. “That, my undying beauty of a terrifying seraph, is the big question that Pym has been asking me every five seconds.”
Pasu motions to Wolik. “Tada, a drunk with a easily annoyed yet strong sense of horrific humor.”
“Anyways.” Wolik sits back as he wraps his arms behind his head. “We’re currently heading beyond the outskirts, into the unknown territory.”
“Why?” Cinder asks as she looks at him, her flaming hair flowing in the wind.
“Well, originally it was to explore random ruins. But now that we have Pasu’s unique… Well, circ.u.mstances… We’re getting as far away from the Ceterian-New Evolution war.”
Pasu moves his head so it’s peeking out from behind the three girls. “New Evolution? That those guys you called the NE, Helvyn?”
Helvyn raises a finger. “They never actually claimed a name, but the higher ups called them that because they said that throughout their entire speech of how the Ceterians were no longer needed. I thought the name was beyond stupid, but oh well, you get what your idiotic superiors give you.”
“Fair enough.” Pasu looks at Pym, who was hugging him extremely tightly. “Um… Pym? I wouldn’t mind if you at least eased the hold.”
She hugs tighter. “No, not until the other girls know you’re mine.”
Pasu gains a sweat bead. “But I never said I was anyones-” All the women minus Cinder and Hynnia glare at him. “...Okay…” He looks down with defeat.
Pym nods and hugs him some more, while Cinder raised a finger. “Why I am pleased to have been given a name by our young master, don’t you two think he has enough to worry about with those two women?”
“So?” Mich.e.l.le asks.
Violet clears her throat. “It’s not that I like the fact I’m staring at him, oddly enough the feelings just, shall we say, came when he gave me a name…”
“I’M SITTING RIGHT HERE! NORMALLY IN A HAREM THE GIRLS DON’T LET THE GUY KNOW HOW OBVIOUS THEY LIKE HIM! EITHER THAT OR THE b.a.s.t.a.r.d IS TOO d.a.m.n DENSE!”
Violet brushes her hair out of her face. “Perhaps, that just makes this situation more unique.”
“OH FOR THE LORD’S SAKE!”
Helvynia gasps. “You’re beginning to talk like a member of this reality!”
“I’M TALKING ABOUT JESUS CHRIST!”
Helvynia’s ears hang. “Aww man… And I was getting excited that he was adapting too…”
“NO ONE IS GIVING ME A CHANCE TO!”
“Then at least adapt to the fact you’re a Seraph Wielder.”
“HOW IN THE h.e.l.l DO I DO THAT WHEN EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING SO FAST?!” She shrugs. “d.a.m.n IT!”
Pasu slumps his head with a heavy sigh as he rubs his head, before looking at Pym, then Wolik. “How far are we going?”
“Far enough to be out of either side’s reach.”
“Why are we even trying to escape?” Hynnia asks. “If Pasu goes there, we could end the war once and for all!”
“Yeah, that’s what they said before the DBAC fell.” Pym says angrily. “And Pasu was lost forever thanks to it.”
“Yeah, not an option.” Helvynia says firmly. Mich.e.l.le and Violet nod in agreement.
“Since when did you join this, by the way, Violet?”
“Oh, it caught my attention… And while I normally ignore my master’s affairs… I couldn’t stay out of it when the master is the one who shows me the most kindness.”
“Ugh…” Pasu buries his face in his hands. “I’m doomed with cheap harem bulls.h.i.t…”
Helvynia pats his back. “That about sums it up, hubby.” Suddenly Pym bites her hand. “OW!” Helvyn swings her arm around while Pym holds on for dear life with her razor sharp teeth. “LET GO YOU CRAZY BRAT!”
Pasu grunts and looks ahead with a slight sigh, just wanting to go somewhere safe right now.
...Cetera Palace, Prince’s Chambers…
Eriklen was currently pacing back and forth in his chambers as he growled silently to himself. “This d.a.m.n kid, whoever he is, shows up out of nowhere, steals my Seraph, THEN steals my future wife, and now he has the b.a.l.l.s to slay two enemy Seraph without taking a side? Who does that insolent piece of peasant trash think he is?” He stops and kicks his chair over. “All of that should be mine! Yet this kid comes out of nowhere and steals it all from me! If I was emperor, I would remove his head here and now!”
He sighs and sits down. ‘But I’m not, and no matter how badly I want it, I will never harm my father, no matter how much I disagree with him… I hate to admit it, but I’d be no better than the enemy if I held a grudge against my old man… Besides… He’s family…’
He sighs and rubs his face. “Maybe I should just let this go… It’s not like I’d kill them… The last thing I want is to become a monster…” He looks at his hands. “The brat better be nice to her, or Crystal help me…”
Suddenly Di-Meen comes in, hands folded behind his back. “Prince Malen, Dinner is ready, and your father has found a woman interested in meeting you.”
Eriklen sits up. “He really found someone?”
Di looks to the side. “I suppose…”
“I know that look, and it’s never steered any of us wrong. What is the issue?”
“She has this odd scent…”
“Ah, a Liz-Col thing, correct?” He nods. “What is the issue?”
“She smells a lot like the enemy we captured.”
Eriklen nods. “I’ll be careful. Just in case, inform my father.”
“Of course.” Di bows his head and takes his leave.
Eriklen opens up a drawer in his desk, and pulls out a necklace. He hovers it over a small torch, the only one that was blue, and he whispers some incantations, before putting it on. “Please protect me with this trinket, oh mighty Mason.” He hides it under his shirt and heads out the door.
...Within The City Of Cetera…
A simple man, wearing a black suit with a red tie, white shirt, and wearing a white mask, looks around the streets calmly, before pulling out a small disk, tapping the center, and holding it to his ear, causing it to form around it into a headset. With that all done, he speaks into it. “Union 204, Elemental Ice 406, I’ve found a target, wearing the signature mask of the NE, but they seemed to have added markings. Possibly a higher up, but given how little knowledge we have, it could just as well be a disguise.”
“Understood, capture and interrogate.”
“Yes, sir.” The man follows the target from a distance, before they soon entered an alleyway, causing the man to enter the building nearby. The target slowly peaks their head out, but sees no one, making them sigh softly, before their lower face was covered by a gloved hand as he’s yanked back into the alleyway, and the sound of a few harsh punches are heard. Moments later the man with the white mask steps out, his hand was covered in ice before it slowly dissipated into the air. “Target subdued, awaiting pickup.”
“Understood, anything different from other spies?”
“Tracking device, elemental suppressing gauntlets, and a prototype Tech-Eye, the poor b.a.s.t.a.r.d was likely a former test subject among them to try and strengthen their abilities. The fact the eye was so badly changed meant this guy was meant to either A: shoot a laser out of it, or B: Indoctrinate.”
“Understood, did you retrieve it?”
“Negative, I destroyed it.”
“Good, but make sure to retrieve it next time, the more we know about how they differ from us, the better we can beat them.”
“We’re not using their tech, are we?”
“Negative, the higher ups says they’re simply researching it… But… Don’t do anything foolish, the last thing we need is a scientist getting some idea and resulting in a second rebellion.”
“Understood, sir.” The Elemental heads back into the streets, soon disappearing among the crowd.
Meanwhile, a second spy of the NE steps out of the alleyway, and places a finger to his ear. “They are none the wiser, Great Lord Hyn. Your plan is going smoothly.”
“Good, now, retrieve the pieces, we need them for the next phase.”
“Of course.” The spy moves to the subdued ally, and pulls off the man a hidden disk, which he sets in his pocket and jogs into the darkness of the alley.
...Back On The Road Again…
Pasu gives a heavy sigh as he watches the carriage stop at a nearby town, climbing out with his hands in his pocket as he watched the people all doing their things. Glancing to the side, he takes note of a young girl carrying a blade as she steps over. “Hey there, name’s Phys. You?”
Pasu gives a nod. “Hakuen, Pasufainda Hakuen.”
She places a hand on her hip. “So, a fellow Seraph Wielder?”
Pasu blinks in surprise. “You mean you’re…”
“Yeah, a 10 Star. I grew up out in these lands ever since the war ended.” She tilts her head. “Suppose you could say I’m a Ceterian.”
Pasu nods. “Explains why you’re so young yet remember so far back.”
“That it does.” She glances at Wolik. “Hey, you look familiar…”
Wolik begins sweating. “Nope, no one familiar, hahaha!” He bolts for the carriage.
Pasu looks at the girl. “Know him?”
She nods. “He banged my eldest daughter.”
“...” Pasu slowly turns to Wolik, as does the other girls.
“To be fair, I didn’t know she was the daughter of a-” He doesn’t get to finish as Pym does a kick so hard he goes soaring through the forests.
Pym then dusts off her hands. “And you are the third person I’ve shown my Platinum Home Run Highlander Kick to.” She nods with an annoyed look, then hugs Pasu.
Pasu says slowly. “And yet I haven’t been kicked by you even though I’m being hunted down by who knows how many women?”
She says very quietly. “I show you an acception…”
Pasu sighs in defeat.
