Amaya"s POVI was to resume work today and I was really excited about it, although I am also nervous. I"ve never worked as a cook anywhere before, and the only people that actually comment on my cooking are family.
My mom was a great cook, she thought me a lot and I can never let that part of me die.
I wonder how my biological mother is. Would she love to cook too?
Is she still alive?
Are they even looking for me?
Why was I in the foster home?
I shake my head and let the thoughts fly away.
I was dressed right now, ready for work and loving my all new black hair.
Malia had officially made it her duty to drop me at work and from work.
I was going to manage on my own but as stubborn as she is, she insisted and I couldn"t argue with that.
I finish what I was doing and headed downstairs immediately. I met everyone on the dining about having breakfast, I walk over to my seat with a smile on my face as we all exchanged greetings and I sit, adjusting myself while Janet, the head of cooks in the house serve us.
"Thank you" I say as she serve my plate and smiling "Madame?" She said nodding her head.
"So how excited are you about work today?" Eunice asked while I chew what was in my mouth.
"Nervously excited" I answer, grinning.
"Don"t worry you"ll do well" she says after laughing and I just smile.
"I pray" I reply
"I"ll stop by at Peter"s school later and try to see if he can still be enrolled by this time, I hope you don"t mind?" Eunice said and I just stared at her, then my gaze turn to Jason who had excitement all over his face.
"That"s too much Eunice. You"ve taken me in, given me a job and now you want to enrol Jason into a school? I will do that when I receive my first salary" I finish but she just smiled.
"I"m aware you guy went shopping and that was your welcome gift. Now this is mine and you don"t reject gifts Amaya. Please let me do it" she says concern over her face.
I smile and I could feel the tears about to slip but I stopped it and I stood up and walk to her seat, and when she noticed what I was about doing, she stood up and I hugged her.
"Thank you so much Eunice, i am more than grateful" I say as she hugs me tight too.
"Anytime love"
I was seen to my office and it was beautiful.
It wasn"t as big as my last office but it was still big.
It had a nice view, and paintings were hung and the pain was beautiful and calm.
I love it so much.

Chase"s POV
"You have to sleep in the same bed with me Chase, I don"t care whether you feel comfortable with it or not" Judith shouts as I make my way down to the kitchen to make something to eat.
I was fidgeting my tie, to knot it well but this woman wouldn"t give me peace.
"Look, I don"t have time for this right now, so will you please just shut up?" I say gently but she didn"t listen.
"Oh you"re telling me to shut up? I"m your wife for G.o.d sake. What kind of marriage does the couples sleep separately? Tell me" she shouts again
"The kind that the husband doesn"t love the wife, and all he wants is to return from work one day and find out that his wife is gone Judith" I shout at her this time, loosing my patience.
"Oh I see your plan, so you can bring that s.l.u.t into this -"
"Don"t you ever, don"t you f.u.c.king ever call my wife a s.l.u.t or else I"ll do something we"ll both regret" I threaten her as I point my index finger very close to her eyes and she hit her back on the wall to the kitchen.
She"s quiet now.
"I am your wife Chase" she says quietly and I turn to her but all I could feel for her was hatred and disgust.
"I lost my appet.i.te, I"ll eat at work" I say, picking my car keys and shoving her out of the way.
I got inside my car and drove off, leaving that h.e.l.l called a house.
I made sure to lock Amaya"s room and with a specific instruction for her not to go inside that room.
Its just me and Judith in the house right now, after Amaya left, I gave the whole workers a break because this was the time of the year I usually do that. And this is the wrong time amongst all time.
I get to my office and asked Judy to provide me with all the paper work I"ll be having through out this week.
She did and I"ve been occupying myself with it. I just don"t want to go back to that house, forever.
I work and work and my stomach begin to growl, signifying the hunger which I"ve been trying to suppress.
I pick my phone and keys and drove to the restaurant Amy used to work.
"Good evening Sir, what would you like to have?"
"Nothing yet, I"ll call you when I"m ready" I reply to the waiter who came over to attend to me.
I relax my back and the memory of the first time I saw Amaya came flashing back.
••••••
I didn"t know how I slept off, only to be shaken and my eyes flew open
"We"re about to close Sir" a girl said and I try to adjust my vision.
"Wait, you"re The millionaire that married my friend, I saw it in the news" she says and now her expression was changing.
"Uhm you don"t happen to know where she is right now do you?" I ask with the hope that she does.
"I don"t and even if I did? I wouldn"t tell you. Not after all I read on the paper about what you did to her. I know you"re lying because Amaya would never stoop so low to blackmail someone into marrying her"
She says, disgust showing on her face.
" you"re right and I wish I could make things right. I just want her to know I"m dying without her and that I really love her" I say, as my head falls.
I rise up and saw that she had this confused look on her.
"I"ll take my leave, I"m sorry about what happened to your friend" and with that I left and drove home.
I switched on the light and met Judith asleep on the couch, her surrounding was scattered with junks and I just shook my head.
I walk inside the kitchen and found out she didn"t cook, great.
I pick one noodles, walk to fridge and picked water, and milk.
I went back to the kitchen, picked a tray and placed them on it, stretching my hands to reach out to where the bowls were kept and then a spoon.
I went upstairs, pull my clothes and I mixed the milk on the bowl, opening the noodles, i had it like a cornflakes and with each scoop, I yearn for Amaya.
My life Is originally a h.e.l.l at this moment.
