The sky above them darkened all of a sudden, with thunderous clouds and bolts of lightning that seemed to threaten to eliminate the whole world.

"Something"s wrong!" Ralmaroz stood up and looked at the sky.

Suddenly, there was a heavy downpour of rain. The rain was so strong that some of them had to run for cover as they actually felt pain when they were hit by the droplets.

Ralmaroz signaled his men to get ready for an attack. He then looked at the small coffin, which was still burning. The coffin was vibrating slightly, as if it was being attacked from the inside. With difficulty, Ralmaroz tore his eyes away from the coffin and looked at his wife.

When he noticed the pale expression on his wife, he quickly went over to check on her. "Cahryss, are you feeling alright?"

"Go away…" Cahryss said as she pushed him away. Her breathing was getting somewhat uneven, and she was sweating profusely while blood trickled down from her ears.

Standing up with difficulty, she mumbled, "I"m going to save my son…"

"Cahryss!" Ralmaroz snapped. "It"s over! Even if you open the coffin now, he would have been dead!"

"Shut up!" Cahryss snapped back as she struggled to the door.

Ralmaroz wanted to stop her, but he suddenly heard someone yelling, "Your Majesty, we are under attack!"

Upon hearing that, Ralmaroz immediately looked out the window. The first thing he saw was Thadeus, who was standing above a Quetzalcoatl with crimson scales that were constantly burning. Behind Thadeus were five other types of dragons that were of blue, green, black, and gold colors.

"T-that"s a Quetzalcoatl!!! It"s supposed to be extinct!" someone yelled as they ran away from the sacrificial platform.

"F*ck that! That"s the Supreme Warlock! Why is he attacking us?!" a demon soldier yelled as he dodged from an attack.

"THADEUS!" Ralmaroz roared angrily as he looked out the window. Angered, his pupils turned bright blue as black demon wings with blue stripes protruded out of his naked back. Strips of blue appeared around his torse and around his thighs, and these stripes appeared to be burning. His previously light brown skin turned darker and darker, until they became greyish.

He then jumped out of the towers and went straight for Thadeus. "What"s the meaning of this?!"

"You are making a huge mistake, Ralmaroz, and I"m saving you from it!" Thadeus said as his green eye glowed slightly.

The golden dragon behind him charged forward and rammed into Ralmaroz with its body. Meanwhile, the other four dragons charged either toward the sacrificial platform or the members of the council.

With ease, Ralmaroz took the attack head-on before grabbing the dragon"s horns and threw him a few miles away. He then glared at Thadeus and snapped, "Come on, I"ll beat the sh*t out of you this time!"

Ralmaroz"s blue pupils seemed to enlarge until his whole eyes were just bright blue, and at the moment, his body emanated a tremendous aura that spread out hundreds of kilometers before being condensed around him, forming a bluish sort of semi-translucent s.h.i.+eld around his body.

Putting his left palm out, palm facing upward, he drew a cross on it with his right index finger. Instead of blood, a white slit appeared on the cross. Thadeus pushed his right hand toward the slit, which enlarged and seemed to consume it, and pulled out a dagger with a dragon handle.

The eye on the dragon handle glowed in blue before the same aura that was covering Ralmaroz"s body covered the blade of the dagger.

CRACK!

When Ralmaroz slashed the air in front of him, the air seemed to frozen and became visible before breaking into a thousand pieces.

"I"ve been wanting to fight all out with you, Thadeus!" Ralmaroz roared as he charged toward Thadeus while brandis.h.i.+ng the dagger.

"As if you can ever beat me!" Thadeus" blue eyes glowed slightly, and he jumped into midair. "Quetz, lead them and destroy this place!"

The Quetzalcoatl nodded before flying toward the sacrificial platform with the four other dragons. Some of the dragons attacked the sacrificial platform while others attacked the soldiers. All forms of elemental powers were thrown at the platform, but the attacks were deflected by an invisible s.h.i.+eld that was formed by the diagram carved into the platform.

Meanwhile, Thadeus and Ralmaroz were fighting intensely in midair. Each of their attacks created a wave of energy that would send the weakest beings into oblivious. And even though they managed to hit each other, the injuries they inflicted were minimal and could barely stop each other from continuing on.

Thadeus, while having the advantage of a vast reserve of soul power, had a weaker body compared to the Daemon King. Hence, he had to be at a distance away from Ralmaroz as they fought.

However, Ralmaroz, who had known about his weakness, kept pressing closer and closer as he kept slas.h.i.+ng his dagger at Thadeus; each and every slash would freeze the air.

When he could not reach Thadeus, he conjured up a spell. A bright blue diagram appeared behind Ralmaroz before turning into arms that spread out and surrounded Thadeus, locking him in a cage-like effect.

"Do you think this can stop me?" Thadeus laughed as he drew a diagram with a finger. The diagram glowed in green, before spreading out and attacking the "arms". The moment the two forms of energies connected, they broke down.

Before Ralmaroz could do anything, Thadeus already had a second attack in ready, and he launched it at the Daemon King, striking him in the chest and causing him to plunge down into the earth hundreds of meters below.

Thadeus dashed toward Ralmaroz and floated above the crater that was made by the impact. "Ralmaroz, hate me all you want," Thadeus said in a low voice before aiming another attack on the injured Ralmaroz, further injuring him.

"Urgh!" Ralmaroz groaned as blood flowed from the corners of his lips. Thankfully, he managed to conjure up a spell that created a s.h.i.+eld around his body. Even though it broke from the attack, it managed to absorb half of the strength of the attack.

Otherwise, Ralmaroz would be worse than now. He glared at Thadeus, who had now floated down and stood beside him. "Tha… deus, you…"

"I won"t let you kill her child…" Thadeus said as he picked up the dagger that had fallen out of Ralmaroz"s hand. "And I"ll take him away from here…"
