CHAPTER 97

Silence filled the room, as there was anger or rage that floated around…I even got the idea that I could continue to get spiritual essence back.

As I went to get comfortable again, I found the silence being interrupted…

“The Soul Breaking Curse is something that thrives on living things, I wonder if that’s what he gave you.” Matthew said, giving the flask to Band Two to keep.

Obviously, the General would probably be a very tough opponent, to those who went against him in a fight, Matthew guessed that the Crowned Prince giving his friend a curse, would most likely be the best way to have killed him…

The General shook his head and clenched his hands, “Does it matter!? I want to get my payback! Can you imagine that man seeing me alive, I wonder if that’ll be enough to kill him!?”

Laughing, the General slowly became relaxed again, “When will you get that stupid Crowned Prince, boy!?”

“I have to clear my name first, Shaun.”

Looking at the two men in front me, I frowned. It was obvious that they were against the Crowned Prince, but…Matthew having to clear his name?

Looking over a Matthew, I saw him sigh and breath in. He looked at me afterwards, finding me looking at him…Even when he looked like he was worried about something, he was so handsome! Also…Distracting…I forgot what I was thinking beforehand, completely!

Matthew silently sighed in his heart, he knew he had to figure some things out, but was staring at her something he could do? For a moment, he felt like she seemed fine with it, so he decided that for now, if his princess doesn’t initiate anything first, then he will try to have nothing happen…And, he will have to think about it more later…

“Sister!”

The silent, sweet stares between us were broken, and I looked up at a new face that had just ran in.

I watched, in shock, as a man took the new comer outside by force.

So strange…

What I hadn’t known, was that Band One taking the new comer out of the room, was to say to them to not refer to the Second Prince as a Prince for now.

“I can take you somewhere, to have you regenerate your spiritual essence.” Matthew said, taking my hand. He knew he was already breaking his own, new rule…But, he had his reasons…

I had to admit, it was too loud here, not being able to concentrate. Letting Matthew led me, we were at the window, when the new comer suddenly spoke loudly again, “B…Big Brother! We have not seen each other for so long…And now you are leaving?”

Matthew sighed. He turned towards the new comer and said, “Forgive me, Miss Haves.”

“Hav…I thought…” This Miss Haves in question, went silent, as she saw Matthew holding hands with another person.

Shock was visible on her face, as she looked back up at Matthew, “…You used to call me Rose…”

Her voice was quiet and slightly weak, as she had said this. It seemed like she wanted to make others to think that she had lost something very precious…

I looked at ‘Rose’ and then at Matthew, and boy were they on different wavelengths!

Matthew seemed to be saying, ‘I don’t want to talk to you’ with his actions and the look on his face. Whereas, this ‘Rose’ looked at him with wide flirtatious eyes, that seemed to want to eat him up…And that was just her eyes!

Honestly, it was written everywhere, that she wanted Matthew! She might as well be a giant post with letters, for all I could see…

Actually, I could understand Matthew’s dislike towards her, because of the way she looked at him. It really was a little scary…

Even though I was particularly observant, it seemed that others knew of her being like this as well, as I heard a couple of knowing sighs.

On the other hand, Matthew, who had been slightly enlightened by his actions recently, was a little worried. Is this what he looks like when he’s with Sahara? Do I look like ‘Rose’ and then me, not wanting to talk to Rose at all, is that Sahara?

Matthew was in an obvious, stunned silence, and the General slightly panicked, deciding to get Rose’s attention.

“Did you not see me at all…Little sister in law!?” The General yelled.
