CHAPTER 37

Luckily, I had already seen these areas that I had teleported to, previously. Two areas were caves, that looked abandoned from mining some kind of ore. Another area, was an abandoned house, it really didn’t provide much safety, so I had to maximise my hearing and sight while I was there…

Another place that I had teleported to, was next to the far wall, outside of the capital, as there were some old and broken-down crates, that helped protect me against the sun, rain or being spotted by others.

All these places, I had found them when I did my cultivating training, through all these years. If people were lucky enough, they may have been able to see a little, green star flying through these areas quite a number of times.

As early as four, did I already start searching for these places. I knew of my family being ‘crazy’ then, wouldn’t I be stupid if I didn’t find places that I could take shelter in? To add to that, my own knowledge of the cruelty of ancient times, made me all the more determined to look for an escape route.

Reading all those novels where the main leads stayed with their families when things went down…I had troubles wondering why they hadn’t left their families. Honestly, I can understand a bit more now, as I had needed to grow stronger…But…Still…

I might be able to handle it to some extent…But who wants so much work!? Wouldn’t it be easier to leave such a burden behind and go adventuring?

I knew that there were things that stopped a person from leaving their family. They had written genealogies in this era, stating your connection to the family, but…Being able to be crossed off from that genealogy with my father being the Right Minister…I knew that leaving the family the right way, would probably never happen!

But, I don’t want to care about that. If they were going to kill me or harm me, I’d much prefer to leave without their approval and do without it!

I didn’t much care for reputation and I had trained as hard as I could, and will continue to do so, to be strong enough to support my decision!

Now that I had finalized my thoughts…My new resolution was to never call the Rolland Estate my home ever again!

I sighed, being homeless in my previous life, I wasn’t new to this kind of life of being without a family. The potential of getting rained on, no money and not knowing when food was to come to you next…Sleeping in shelters owned by the city, and having to get ‘moved on’. Not eating properly and taking advantage of those religious people who cared. I hadn’t had many showers when I was homeless, so I had smelled, especially my feet. I hadn’t been able to take my shoes off for days, because of the smell…

For the second time…My own family had made me homeless…Or is it a third now!?

But, I was lucky! I had food, water…I just couldn’t move…Yet…

I will make it on my own! It’s not like I haven’t done that before!

Sincerely, I hadn’t realized how awesome ‘Bending s.p.a.ce’ meditation was. Being able to force things apart and bring things together, was just too good! It did seem to rely a little on sight, but even though my sight was blurry, seeing the poison, was still quite easy.

All the particles or molecules, whatever they were in the small liquid, was extremely taxing but it worked a lot better, than blindly trying to force the poison out!

Being able to see because of that little bit of liquid, I was able to see the inside of my body, and saw all the little, blurry bits of blackness of the poison.

Honestly…I was glad my eyesight wasn’t particularly good right now, as I a.s.sumed seeing the inside of a body might be a bit gruesome…
