CHAPTER 42
At the age of fifteen, nearly sixteen, I was finally completely healed and had been living at my own…Residence…
I was currently on top of a very large mountain, somewhere in the middle of the vast, land ma.s.s, area.
I had decided with this place, because there weren’t any beasts that were able to come up here, probably because there was a steep area around the mountain that stopped anything from climbing up further. So, I was pretty safe and was able to sleep peacefully, once again.
After I had completely healed myself, I was just too curious to stay still, and…I had found another ‘Haven’!
With my stars being able to see this new ‘Haven’, I was able to find that…It wasn’t worth going there to check it out. I honestly told myself, that I’d prefer to go back to Green Haven, then go into this other ‘Haven’!
I was a little b.u.mmed out, to find such a place that held no interest to me. The people there had not advanced beyond second rank cultivation and seemed to have no type of leadership…
They were fighting within themselves like they were doing the opposite to developing a working capital! They lived like barbarians and it really did confuse the h.e.l.l out of me!
In my previous life, purple was n.o.ble and one of the higher colours in cultivation. Yet, when I found out this capital was called ‘Purple Haven’, I was completely flabbergasted!
But, I did find out something new through this. Being able to tell what cultivation they were, was all thanks to my stars!
When I surrounded my star with my spiritual essence, then fly it away, I transferred that spiritual essence to a person, and that’s how I was able to know what cultivation they were.
What sucked, was after I transferred my spiritual essence from the star, the star would then be cut off from me, and I could no longer use it. Well, it was more like I could only surround, or enter, one thing at a time.
But…Haha, I was able to go from one person, to another, with my spiritual essence. And, of course, know where I was going, because there was no s.p.a.ce between it and myself!
So, I was really excited about that!
I guess, since upgrading to a third ranked cultivator, I was able to transfer my spiritual essence as a gift…Or something. Then, after that thought, I was worried that perhaps I could have been able to do this all along…
Feeling a little stifled on this subject, I could only shrug and hope that it was just a present for ‘dinging’, instead of something I hadn’t thought of previously…
Having decided not to go to Purple Haven, I instead found myself nearly irritated that I hadn’t been able to fight against beasts yet. So, that is what I did next.
Beasts didn’t ‘seem’ to have ranks like us, what they had instead, was growth. It became apparent to me that the bigger they are, the stronger they were, when I accidently had gone up against something that was bigger than me.
The very small beasts were simple, then the ones the size of a dog were a little harder, then the size of a tiger or lion would be harder again.
It was strange indeed, I hadn’t thought I’d find a big ‘rat’ looking beast, but it was stronger than the smaller ones I’d gone against.
When the bigger beast had come towards me, I had found him too hard to handle, so I would teleport away.
Actually, I felt like a huge cheater, able to sneak up against many of the beasts and kill them in one go. But, as they got bigger, they would be able to feel me close by and quickly escape my attack. In fact, in one instance it had gotten me in trouble and I was hurt…
It reminded me of some games where you would stealth and if the other person was a lot higher than you, they’d see you coming.
So, I found myself being able to sneak up towards dog sized beasts, but unable to sneak up against tiger sized.
Making it easier for myself, I guess that the dog sized were equivalent to about third rank cultivation, just like me.
As time had pa.s.sed, and I had ‘dinged’ to be a fourth rank cultivator, I found myself able to sneak up against the tiger sized beasts and found that their sizes still ‘seemed’ to have a cultivation rank.
